Chapter 65: Could He Actually Be a Normal Person?

Xie Shiwei frantically shook his head, saying it was nothing.

He Qin left it at that. He knew that saying too much would scare Xie Shiwei, so he didn’t press him for an answer or continue questioning. Instead, he left the bathroom, leaving Xie Shiwei alone.

The romantic atmosphere gradually dissipated. They ate, and after the meal, Smith contacted them to prepare for their tour. The local tour guide had already arrived at the hotel.

The guide was a Chinese expatriate who spoke with a strong northeastern accent. In the car, he lectured them endlessly about the glorious history of Istanbul, which nearly put Xie Shiwei to sleep.

He had to interrupt the guide and ask about the day’s itinerary. The guide finally got back on track and explained the whole day’s tour route, which was a very standard tourist route, similar to what Xie Shiwei had researched. However, he keenly caught on to something and asked uncertainly, “You just said there would be a filming segment, what does that mean?”

“Oh, our summit is going to film a backstage record video. You two have a good image and temperament, so we’d like you to appear as representatives of China. That’s also why we arranged this day trip for you.”

The guide grinned, revealing his white teeth, and took out a camera and tripod. He patted another bag: “There’s also a drone, which makes it easier for me to take some magnificent aerial shots.”

Xie Shiwei was stunned and asked He Qin if he knew about this. He Qin shook his head, saying it was the first time he’d heard that there was such a task at the summit.

“By the way, as a newlywed couple, or rather, a husband-and-husband couple, there are certain requirements for the filming. It’s supposed to be filmed according to couple standards, is that okay?”

Xie Shiwei wanted to ask what the so-called “couple standards” were, but before he could open his mouth, He Qin readily agreed, saying it was no problem at all.

    Xie Shiwei: “…”

    And then he regretted it.

On the Bosphorus Strait, they were arranged to take a boat trip together to feed the seagulls.

With bread skewered on a stick, Xie Shiwei was happily feeding the seagulls one by one. Suddenly, the guide raised his camera and asked the two of them to show their interest in the Turkish seagulls, while also not losing the harmony of the husband-and-husband, and using body language to express the charm of Eastern men.

Xie Shiwei was immediately embarrassed and didn’t know how to meet the guide’s bizarre requirements. He Qin then wrapped his arms around him from behind and fed the seagulls with him.

The next attraction was the Blue Mosque. They stood in a long line at the entrance, surrounded by a group of Westerners.

The guide asked them to hold each other’s hands tightly, and for He Qin to hold a parasol for Xie Shiwei.

Xie Shiwei looked around, and no one was using a parasol to shield themselves from the sun. In fact, he couldn’t see many tourists using umbrellas in the entire Turkey. Most people were braving the scorching sun.

Xie Shiwei wiped away non-existent sweat: “Isn’t that unnecessary? No one around is using an umbrella.”

“This is a promotional video with Eastern characteristics, you two don’t need to consider other people,” the guide said proudly. “I know, you Chinese people especially like to use parasols.”

But He Qin quickly opened a white parasol, casting a shade over his head. He was also pulled into He Qin’s arms in the process.

The guide in the distance praised a string of English words and picked up his camera to take pictures.

Fortunately, the guide didn’t follow them when they entered the mosque. Xie Shiwei and He Qin followed the crowd into the mosque, took off their shoes at the entrance, and entered the mosque to visit in their socks.

There were many worshippers in the mosque, sincerely kneeling and chanting scriptures. The whole world seemed to have become quiet and blurred.

Xie Shiwei was affected by this atmosphere and closed his eyes to listen, recalling every bit of his life after coming to this world as he listened to the incomprehensible scriptures.

And what made him a little flustered was that in many, many scenes in his memory, there was He Qin’s figure.

They had experienced many, many things together, constantly deepening their understanding of each other and changing their impressions of each other.

He Qin’s image had changed a lot, but each stage was vivid in his mind. Sarcastic, cold, reliable, helpful, gentle to him, unconditionally defending him, and making his heart flutter.

Xie Shiwei opened his eyes a crack and peeked at He Qin. The person next to him looked as beautiful as a work of art in the blue halo and dim candlelight of the mosque.

Xie Shiwei inappropriately recalled yesterday’s dream again.

In the dream, He Qin was particularly good, with that top-notch ascetic face, he brought him □□. Xie Shiwei had never experienced that kind of feeling, so he secretly savored it all morning.

The scriptures stopped, and Xie Shiwei woke up as if from a dream, despising himself for how he could think of such useless and lewd things in such a sacred place. Then, he was pulled by He Qin’s arm to the outside of the gate.

He found his shoes and changed them by the doorpost.

Suddenly, He Qin knelt down and tied his shoelaces for him, deftly tying two knots. His shoulders were broad and looked very reliable.

Before Xie Shiwei could say that he could do it himself, He Qin had already tied them. Sensing several fiery gazes around him, he quickly pulled He Qin away. After running for a while, he stopped and asked, panting slightly: “Is tying my shoelaces also the guide’s request? Is he taking pictures secretly?”

He Qin stopped and stood under a tree swaying gently in the wind, looking into Xie Shiwei’s eyes: “Do you hope it is?”

The shadows of the trees swayed, the light speckled, and Xie Shiwei’s heart also swayed from side to side.

    Did he hope it was?

Xie Shiwei took a breath: “I…”

To be honest, he rejected He Qin verbally, but secretly enjoyed every moment of He Qin being good to him in his heart.

Because he had never been cared for by anyone before.

“What do you think?” He Qin pressed.

He didn’t want to startle Xie Shiwei, but he also had to push forward and force Xie Shiwei to tell him what he really thought.

“I hope not,” Xie Shiwei said truthfully as He Qin approached, seeing a flash of surprise in He Qin’s eyes.

He Qin hadn’t expected this answer. He thought he would be lightly rejected by Xie Shiwei again.

“But He Qin, what if I said, I like you being good to me just because no one has ever been good to me before?” Xie Shiwei asked.

He Qin was even more surprised, his eyes shifted a few times: “Wasn’t your unforgettable ex-boyfriend good to you?”

Xie Shiwei froze for a moment. He had made up an ex-boyfriend that day as a spur of the moment idea and had already forgotten about it. At this moment, he stammered: “He wasn’t that good to me, I was chasing after him.”

There was a trace of doubt in He Qin’s eyes: “Didn’t you say he was considerate and gentle?”

“Uh, he was occasionally considerate and gentle.”

He Qin had a guess in his heart: “What company does he work for?”

Xie Shiwei was startled, and he couldn’t remember the setting he had made up at the beginning. Under He Qin’s hawk-like gaze, he was sweating, and then he made up a company name that wasn’t very normal.

He Qin didn’t give him time to think and continued to ask: “Annual income?”

“Uh, a little less than you, but not too much less.”

“How long has he been working?”

    “…Two years.”

“What content is he responsible for?”

“I don’t know… it seems like something like a content architect.”

“Wrong.” He Qin was in a great mood. “Xie Shiwei, you said last time that he was an MD at an investment bank.”

Xie Shiwei blinked and looked at He Qin’s face, sighing. Well, he had nothing to say.

People came and went around them, speaking various languages. The wind was blowing from all directions, rustling the canopy of the trees. He Qin was getting closer and closer to him, pushing Xie Shiwei until his back was against the tree trunk, with no way to retreat. He said gently and helplessly: “Shiwei, you don’t have an ex-boyfriend, you made it up to reject me.”

Xie Shiwei lowered his head and reluctantly admitted it.

He Qin’s mood was a bit complicated for a moment.

It was natural to be happy. Xie Shiwei didn’t have an ex-boyfriend, he hadn’t been in a relationship, so that kiss in the confusion that night was his first kiss, or rather, it was their shared first kiss.

But beneath the happiness, there was more disappointment. For what reason did Xie Shiwei have to go to so much trouble to reject him without leaving any room for maneuver, even though he was obviously interested in him, or at least interested in his appearance?

He Qin wasn’t a very proud person, but he also knew that every aspect of his conditions was good.

Xie Shiwei was very good. He believed that he was worthy of Xie Shiwei. Even if Xie Shiwei didn’t want to pretend to be the original Xie Shiwei in the future, and wanted to confront Xie Tian’an and leave the Xie Shi Group, becoming penniless, he could give Xie Shiwei a good life and always be his backing. But why did he always push him away?

Seeing He Qin’s expression change from joy to a bit of silence, Xie Shiwei guessed what He Qin was thinking.

He felt a little guilty, a little unbearable, and wanted to hug him to comfort him.

Xie Shiwei took a deep breath in frustration, thinking that he might as well tell the truth. Anyway, there was something wrong with He Qin’s own body. Knowing it sooner rather than later would allow him to seek treatment sooner, and maybe he could be cured this time?

If he was cured, they wouldn’t have to get divorced, and he would definitely scurry to He Qin’s bed as soon as possible.

As Xie Shiwei thought this, the three words “premature ejaculation” were about to come out of his lips when the guide suddenly appeared beside them, taking pictures with his camera: “Wow, from a distance, it’s a beautiful scene of true feelings! You two are so well-matched! I’ve taken so many pictures of you from afar. Let’s take some close-ups. Sorry to bother you, continue what you were doing, don’t mind me!”

Xie Shiwei slammed on the brakes and held those three words back.

Damn, He Qin’s great humiliation was almost known by the guide, that was close.

On the way to the next attraction, Xie Shiwei occasionally looked at He Qin’s profile, seeing his eyebrows relax again, as if he had lost the disappointment just now. He didn’t feel so unbearable anymore.

Maybe he should just forget it and let He Qin discover such an embarrassing thing himself. A man’s self-esteem is the most precious thing. Heaven knows if He Qin would turn love into hate if he told him.

Thinking of this, Xie Shiwei suddenly discovered a suspicious point that he had overlooked for a long time.

Does He Qin only have this problem when he actually fights with someone? Does he not have any problems when he does it himself? Or does He Qin never give himself a hand?

    Impossible…

A strange feeling suddenly emerged in Xie Shiwei’s heart. He was wondering if something was wrong. Could it be that the He Qin in this world was a normal person?

Should he try to test him?
