    Chapter 65.

Lee Jun leaned back slightly, gazing out the window, not knowing their destination.

“You’re not asking where we’re going.”

Chaeheon’s voice came as Lee Jun watched the rapidly passing scenery without much thought. Ask where they’re going… is there a need?

“We’ll know when we get there anyway.”

He had said they were going to a cafe, so there was nothing else to be curious about.

“You said that’s why you like Gyeong-hun… that you don’t dig into things you’ll find out anyway.”

Lee Jun thought of what he had said earlier and mentioned it, considering whether to just remain silent. It was a conversation he’d had with Chaeheon, so he chose those words, thinking Chaeheon wouldn’t probe further, but the reaction was unexpectedly different.

“I didn’t realize I’d be jealous of that.”

At the mention of an unexpected word, Lee Jun’s eyes widened, and he turned to Chaeheon. What was he saying right now?

Chaeheon, who would normally be looking straight ahead while driving, was looking at him. How long had he been watching him? Chaeheon’s subtle smile, combined with his eyes half-hidden by his eye-smile, was warm.

Lee Jun stared blankly at that expression, nearly missing their recent conversation, and then frowned, regaining his composure.

    “Jealousy…”

He was about to say it wasn’t that, but Chaeheon cut him off sharply.

“If it were me, I’d also be bothered if you liked someone else, even if it wasn’t in the same way you like me.”

“Does that mean I’m bothered by you?”

    “That’s how it felt.”

Lee Jun let out a bewildered laugh and was about to speak but paused. No. It definitely wasn’t that. So he was going to say no, but reflecting on it, there was something that bothered him. He had heard it nonchalantly when Chaeheon said he liked Kim Gyeong-hun, but the fact that he brought it up now seemed to indicate he was subtly bothered.

Should he be grateful for making him see feelings he didn’t even know he had?

As Lee Jun’s silence grew longer, Chaeheon’s smile gradually faded. He had only said it to tease Lee Jun, but with no response, the atmosphere became increasingly strange.

    “Hyung.”

Chaeheon decided to take Lee Jun’s hand and try to resolve the situation.

“It’s natural for you to like me. So there’s no need to overthink what I said.”

    “No, you’re right.”

    Lee Jun shook his head.

“I think I was bothered by it.”

That’s why that thought came to mind first, and he mentioned it. It was true that he was practically jealous of that, even before confessing his feelings for Chaeheon.

    “It is jealousy.”

    “Ri…ght.”

Chaeheon, unable to deny it since Lee Jun agreed, stammered, then belatedly remembered their conversation. So naive and foolish… wasn’t this the kind of conversation lovers just starting their relationship would have?

Chaeheon pulled Lee Jun’s hand. Due to the sudden movement, Lee Jun lost his balance and leaned into Chaeheon’s embrace.

    “What is it?”

Lee Jun belatedly pushed Chaeheon’s chest, trying to sit up, but the hand that had moved to his back wouldn’t let go.

    “I’m very jealous too.”

Chaeheon pecked Lee Jun’s earlobe several times with his lips, then whispered. His gentle voice and softly spreading pheromones, which didn’t spread widely but enveloped his body in the small car. The atmosphere heated up in an instant.

It was even more startling because there had been no prior sign. So, Lee Jun, who had been still, felt his pheromones react and emanate, belatedly sitting upright.

“Why are you suddenly introducing yourself?”

    “Introducing myself…”

“You were always jealous, weren’t you?”

“Was I? Then you’ve become more so too.”

Lee Jun brushed off his clothes. Realizing that his pheromones wouldn’t disappear by just brushing his clothes, Lee Jun quickly lowered his hands and looked up at Chaeheon.

“I guess I caught it from you.”

Perhaps the growing affection I have for you made me want to be like you.

It didn’t matter that it wasn’t Chaeheon driving or that someone else was listening. He knew it from having broken up with him before. There was nothing more foolish than hiding his feelings just because other people were around.

However, it didn’t take long for him to realize that there had to be a limit to that.

The car, which had been driving for a long time even after leaving the city limits, stopped at a secluded cafe with a lake view. As soon as the car parked in the spacious parking lot, the Bodyguard disappeared.

    “Where are you going…”

Lee Jun instinctively tried to speak to the Bodyguard but shut his mouth as he felt a tug from behind. Chaeheon had embraced him from behind.

“I won’t always be right next to you.”

    “Then where will you be?”

“It’s a cafe, so they’ll sit somewhere appropriate, right?”

Chaeheon answered as if it wasn’t very important, but Lee Jun didn’t feel the same way. It was such a fascinating profession, making him wonder if he’d ever encounter a bodyguard in his lifetime outside of special circumstances. Moreover, the surroundings were so tranquil that he thought there wouldn’t be anywhere to go, but surprisingly, there was a cafe.

    “Let’s go too.”

Chaeheon walked towards the cafe as if leaning on Lee Jun, and Lee Jun took heavy step after heavy step.

    “How is it?”

“It feels like carrying a bear on my shoulders.”

He said it to mean it was heavy, but Chaeheon laughed and leaned on him even more. So, Lee Jun had no choice but to walk, practically carrying him, and that was just the beginning.

“What do you want to drink?”

When ordering, they held hands, so Chaeheon fumbled trying to take out his wallet with only one hand…

    “Your coffee is ready.”

At the call from the pick-up counter, Lee Jun let go of Chaeheon’s hand and picked up two coffees, only for Chaeheon to lean on his back again. This meant Chaeheon stayed in contact with Lee Jun until they settled at a table on the terrace.

The problem was that Lee Jun had initially thought it was acceptable enough to just humor him. During payment and such, he should have let go of his hand, but he didn’t, which made it quite inconvenient.

    “Let go now.”

Finally, Lee Jun warned Chaeheon in a low voice, and he easily pulled away, as if scared.

    “Let’s sit.”

In reality, he merely stepped back to sit next to Lee Jun.

Lee Jun, feeling lighter as if he had gained a moment of freedom, drank his coffee. The strong wind made the warm coffee feel even more comforting as it went down his throat.

    “This place feels completely different.”
