    Chapter Index

“I don’t care what your situation was before, but from now on, this place is under my management, understand?”

Qin Xian sat on the sofa with his legs spread apart, surrounded by several police officers, looking like a triad boss and his subordinates, completely intimidating the youths kneeling on the ground opposite them. Although some were still defiant, they obediently stayed silent.

“Of course, I won’t make things difficult for you. Just answer a few questions. First, how did the girl in the storage room die?”

The boys seemed to recall something, their expressions turning unpleasant. They timidly exchanged glances, and finally, someone pushed Guo Jiarong. He lowered his head aggrievedly and replied, “She brought it upon herself and was strangled.”

Xun Guangfan’s eyes widened in disbelief upon hearing this. “What do you mean ‘she brought it upon herself and was strangled’? Who strangled her? You guys!?”

He appeared to be the youngest among the police officers and found such an answer hard to accept. In fact, apart from Qin Xian, the expressions of everyone else were quite grim. These children were eighteen years old; if they had truly killed someone, their lives would be ruined forever.

Guo Jiarong was startled by the shout, a flicker of fear in his eyes, which was quickly replaced by ferocity. “She wanted to go back, said she wanted to take the college entrance exam and hid in her room to study! If there were two more people like her, this paradise would disappear! We must protect this place, we love it here, only here are we free, and anyone who wants to destroy it should die, should…”

Qin Xian slapped him to the ground, scaring the slightly dazed children into clearing their eyes slightly. Qin Xian looked down at the group of quivering youngsters and said loudly, “Come, get me a notebook.”

The students were dazed and didn’t react. Xun Guangfan, however, was quick and immediately handed over the notebook and pen he used for jotting down clues. Qin Xian took them and leaned over the coffee table, beginning to write.

Xun Guangfan and the others crowded around. “Hey, what are you… memorizing the ‘Chu Shi Biao’?”

The other students were in an uproar, and one immediately stepped forward, saying urgently, “You can’t do this!”

Qin Xian slammed his pen down and retorted, “Can’t do what? Come on, if you have the guts, strangle me too.”

The students: “…” They couldn’t possibly win, so how could they strangle him?

“Ac-actually, we didn’t see who strangled Wang Rongrong…”

Not seeing who killed the person, it meant these children might not have completely descended into madness. Xun Guangfan and the others secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Qin Xian asked, “Do you have any suspects?”

“It should be Tao Xiuping. He was the first to enter here. As soon as we arrived, he laid down the rules for us, threatening that he wouldn’t be responsible if anyone who broke the rules died. He also said this was the place he’d always dreamed of, without parental or teacher supervision, without a fixed schedule. He wouldn’t allow anyone to destroy it.”

“Bullshit! How could it be me!”

“You said you were sleeping in your room at the time, and there’s no evidence. Maybe you went and killed her.”

“Although I did think about it, I didn’t kill her!! Maybe the girl next door killed her. She had her boyfriend stolen by Wang Rongrong at school…”

A girl who had been watching from not far away immediately exploded, “Damn it! I did not!”

A group of students bickered noisily, their sharp voices giving Qin Xian a headache. He decisively stood up, patted Xun Guangfan’s shoulder, and said, “Leave the matter of finding the killer to you professionals.”

“Alright, then where are you going, Mr. Qin?”

“I’ll go check out the fourth floor first…”

The fourth floor looked like a hotel. A long corridor with a row of identical doors on only one side. Some doors had “Occupied” written on them, while others were blank. As Qin Xian passed the first blank door, the sign suddenly displayed “Occupied.” He immediately understood that this room belonged to him.

Pushing the door open, he entered a rather fantastical scene. It was a duplex apartment with three rooms, beautifully decorated and fitting Qin Xian’s aesthetic. The blue and black tones were simple and warm, as if custom-made for him. This structure couldn’t possibly exist within a villa; it was more like a separate space.

Qin Xian wandered around, unable to find anything unusual, not even a flaw in the decoration. Everything in the room appealed to him; the bed and sofa, in particular, made him want to lie down the moment he saw them. If he worked normally and earned money, his ultimate goal would be to own a house like this…

“Knock, knock, knock.” A sudden knock at the door, but the visitor was someone unexpected. The Student Council President grinned and held up five fingers, greeting him, “Hi, I’m here too.”

Qin Xian suppressed the urge to kick him away and calmly asked, “You don’t seem to be human. If you can come in, what about the two grotesque beings?”

The Student Council President shrugged. “I don’t know.”

Qin Xian immediately closed the door. “Hey! Aren’t you going to try harder to ask?” The Student Council President used his foot to wedge the door open.

Qin Xian’s hand gripping the doorknob gradually tightened. Tremendous force was applied to the president’s foot, and the faint sound of bones cracking could be heard. However, the pervert remained unfazed. “Don’t be angry. It’s not that I’m hiding it. I came here the moment I opened my eyes, and I didn’t encounter anything.”

Qin Xian asked, “Then, as a grotesque being entering a domain, you should have been assigned a mission, right? What is it?”

The president tilted his head and suddenly reached out to him. “Teacher Qin at 18 is so handsome, not fully grown yet… your skin is even better, so tender, so fragrant…” He lifted Qin Xian’s hair from his shoulder through the gap in the door and then reached out a finger to touch his cheek.

Qin Xian kicked him directly at the tip of his foot, then slammed the door,夹住 his four fingers. He used his full strength when slamming the door. Under the immense pressure, four fingers made a sickening cracking sound, breaking and deforming in the gap. Black-red blood splattered onto Qin Xian’s face and the wall, with a large portion flowing down along the door crack. One of the broken fingers, with only the skin remaining, slowly snapped off and fell to the floor with a “snap.” If the students saw this scene, they would likely faint from fear.

Qin Xian coldly locked the door and walked to the bed, lying down and closing his eyes. One second, two seconds… The room was silent. Fifteen, sixteen… A very faint sound appeared by the bed. He opened his eyes, pulled out the cleaver hidden under the pillow, and swung it horizontally.

“Clang!!” A piercing sound echoed in the room as Qin Xian’s knife collided with the other person’s. And the one holding the knife was none other than the Student Council President.

Qin Xian sneered, “So you do have a mission.”

The Student Council President sighed. “Can’t be helped. If I want to enter the domain, I have to do something for it.”

Qin Xian: “Does ‘doing something’ mean killing people?”

The president’s wrist exerted constant force, and the two fruit knives pressed against each other trembled. He said cheerfully, “Yes, but if I killed someone else, Teacher Qin, you would definitely get angry and ignore me.”

Qin Xian chuckled twice. “So you came to me? Fine, a very wise choice, because I’ll send you straight to hell.”

“Screech!” The two knives separated with a scrape. Qin Xian lunged forward two steps, his fruit knife flashing in the dim room. He forced the president to retreat, and after dodging all the attacks, he slammed him against the wall. All the lights in the room turned on, blindingly bright.

Qin Xian’s pupils contracted, and he instinctively closed his eyes and raised his hand to block the light. The Student Council President seized this opportunity to slash downwards with extreme ferocity, showing no sign of “affection.” Unfortunately, he missed everything. Qin Xian retreated in time, holding his knife horizontally at his chest defensively, and asked, “Is this what you call liking me?”

The Student Council President smiled brightly and charged forward, wielding his knife and chattering, “Yes, don’t you have a saying that you love someone so much you want to kill them? There’s also a term… ‘yandere’?”

“Go to hell with your yandere. You’re at best a lunatic.” Qin Xian squatted to dodge an attack and, seeing an opening as the Student Council President reached out, exposing his chest, skillfully aimed for the most vital organ, the heart.

The president backflipped, but the knife still grazed his chin, and black-red blood dripped onto the carpet. Yet, he still had a smiling face, as if he wasn’t the one injured. He even charged forward, facing the almost point-blank blade, and slashed Qin Xian’s forearm.

“One to one, a tie,” the Student Council President said with a smile.

Qin Xian’s eyes sharpened. He grabbed a dinner plate from the table and smashed it down on the president’s head. The plate shattered into countless pieces with a crash, and ceramic shards stained with black-red blood fell to the floor. Despite the commotion in the room, no one came. It was likely that no sound from inside the room could be heard from outside.

The Student Council President’s head was bleeding, the blood even flowing into his right eye, dyeing the whites of his eyes black and red, making him look even more insane. He lunged at Qin Xian with his knife. Qin Xian raised a chair, using its four legs to block his movement, and then swept his leg, knocking him to the ground.

The Student Council President kicked the chair away while lying on his back, only to see Qin Xian, whose expression had remained calm, finally reveal a sinister grin. He straddled the president and raised a sharp knife, stabbing down fiercely towards his chest.

The president immediately grabbed Qin Xian’s hands holding the knife, and the two were locked in a stalemate. The tip of the knife trembled a few centimeters from the president’s chest but couldn’t quite pierce it.
