ACBNHTS Chapter 48
by BLReadsChapter 48: Because I’m His Boyfriend
Sheng Yiguang met Pei Du’s gaze, a wave of numbness washing over his heart.
Pei Du smiled at him, leaning in to gently peck his cheek.
A fleeting touch, yet so intimate, making his heart flutter.
The air seemed to be filled with sweetness.
“Tomorrow morning, I’ll go get a mental evaluation, and we’ll use the results for later clarification. How about I take you to transfer the house ownership in the afternoon? Use this time to think carefully about how you want to decorate?”
“Okay.”
Pei Du looked at him for a while longer.
His emotions seemed stable, but his heart still couldn’t calm down.
He really couldn’t help himself.
Pei Du took out his phone.
“You probably won’t be going back tonight, right?”
Sheng Yiguang’s face flushed. “I can’t, Tong Tong is still at home.”
“Just have Aunt Tao look after him.”
“How can I always bother Aunt Tao?”
Pei Du lazily sent a message to Aunt Tao.
“There’s nothing wrong with it, I pay her a salary.”
Sheng Yiguang was surprised. “Aunt Tao is your person?”
“Or else where did you think such a kind aunt came from, helping you take care of the child and sometimes even sharing meals with you? Did she just fall from the sky? Keep dreaming, only your husband would arrange that.”
Sheng Yiguang frantically racked his brain, trying to remember if he had done anything inappropriate or embarrassing in front of Aunt Tao.
It didn’t seem like it.
He complained a little, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Aren’t I telling you now?”
“You could have said it earlier.”
Pei Du finished sending the message and put his phone back in his pocket. “I’ll tell you earlier next time.”
Sheng Yiguang was satisfied.
Pei Du leaned down, getting closer to him. “There aren’t any condoms here.”
Sheng Yiguang’s face burned.
Pei Du’s low, slow voice was laced with amusement. “Do I go buy some now, or do we just go for it? Take your pick.”
Sheng Yiguang didn’t speak, nor did he move.
Pei Du pulled him into his arms, kissing him softly and thoroughly, his breath hot, urging him to answer.
“Baby, choose one.”
Sheng Yiguang’s neck was red with embarrassment.
“It’s obvious you can’t wait, but you still want me to choose.”
Pei Du chuckled. “You caught me. So, do you want to?”
Sheng Yiguang wrapped his arms around his waist, answering him in a low voice.
“I want to.”
“Are you taking your own clothes off, or am I doing it?”
“You do it, I like it when you do it.”
Pei Du’s breathing hitched, he kissed him. “Good boy.”
He held the back of Sheng Yiguang’s head, lowering his head, each breath heavier than the last, each kiss hotter than the last…
–
The next morning, Sheng Yiguang accompanied Pei Du to get his mental evaluation.
He didn’t go inside with him, waiting outside.
The psychologist felt a headache the moment he saw Pei Du walk in.
The first time Pei Du came, he deceived him with his calm and peaceful appearance. While he was in the restroom, he smashed his office to smithereens.
Seeing him return, he threw away the iron bar he’d pulled from who-knows-where, wiping the blood off his hands with a smile, and said, “I’ll pay for it.”
Was it even about the money?
It was just that this patient was too high-risk!
The psychologist was always on edge whenever he talked to him.
Fortunately, Old Man Pei thought he wasn’t skilled enough and transferred him abroad.
But!
Why did this man take the initiative to come today!
Had he gotten worse???
Pei Du pulled out a chair and sat down. “I’m here for a mental evaluation.”
The doctor nodded, secretly taking off his five-figure watch and stuffing it into his pocket for safekeeping. “Are you still taking your medication?”
“I’ve stopped taking a lot of it.”
“That’s a good thing.”
“Nonsense.”
“…”
The doctor didn’t dare to speak, focusing on giving Pei Du the mental evaluation.
The more he did it, the more he found that the man’s mental state was stable, even more stable than his own.
This wasn’t right.
The doctor began to suspect that Pei Du was using some trick to avoid the evaluation, frequently looking at Pei Du.
Pei Du frowned. “Why are you staring at me? Just a reminder, I have a boyfriend.”
“…”
Huh?
Nobody asked.
Nobody cared.
Why are you saying this?
The doctor cleared his throat. “That’s a good thing.”
“Of course.”
The doctor gave a professional smile, continuing to give Pei Du the evaluation test.
The results of the evaluation made the doctor realize something was wrong.
The data was too calm, so calm that it was fake.
He looked at Pei Du.
The corners of his lips were raised, a sinister smile that sent shivers down your spine, his slow, gentle voice like a snake slithering across a cold, damp floor, coiling around your ear.
“Doctor, I don’t have any major problems, do I?”
–
Outside, Sheng Yiguang was bored waiting. He pulled out his phone, and just as he started playing, he caught sight of several figures walking over.
Leading the way was Wen Heng, followed by Du Chao, and Old Man Pei.
Sheng Yiguang stood up, greeted Old Man Pei, and stopped Wen Heng, who was trying to go inside.
“Pei Du is getting a mental evaluation inside, no interruptions allowed.”
“Just because you can’t go in doesn’t mean I can’t. I’m very familiar with the doctor, I can go in, I want to see Pei Du.”
Sheng Yiguang refused. “But Pei Du doesn’t want to see you.”
Wen Heng was displeased. “What makes you say that?”
Sheng Yiguang smiled, a triumphant look on his face, telling him each word clearly.
“Because I’m his boyfriend.”
Wen Heng froze.
Old Man Pei and Du Chao were also stunned.
Wen Heng gritted his teeth. “Does Pei-ge know about you saying he’s your boyfriend?”
Sheng Yiguang: “He knows, I’ll take care of my boyfriend, I don’t need you to be a hypocrite here.”
Wen Heng couldn’t believe it.
How could this be?
How was this possible?
He asked the system, “How did they get back together again? Didn’t you post the bullet screen for Sheng Yiguang?”
System: [I did! It’s still posting!]
Wen Heng understood.
Sheng Yiguang now knew that he was the official pairing, but still wanted to snatch him away.
Not so dumb after all.
The Pei family’s wealth was indeed tempting.
Seeing that Wen Heng’s expression wasn’t good, Du Chao stepped forward to comfort him. “Xiao Wen, why don’t we wait outside? Let Pei-ge focus on the evaluation.”
Wen Heng nodded, sitting to the side.
Old Man Pei walked up to Sheng Yiguang, sizing him up and down. “Why didn’t your brother come with you?”
“Aunt Tao took him out to play.”
Old Man Pei said “Oh” without saying anything else, and sat down to wait.
Before long, Pei Du came out.
Sheng Yiguang walked toward him, when a figure suddenly darted past him.
Wen Heng ran in front of Pei Du, looking concerned. “Pei-ge, how are you doing–”
Pei Du walked past him, going to Sheng Yiguang.
Sheng Yiguang: “All done?”
Pei Du nodded. “I have to wait a while to get a paper report. I was afraid you’d get bored waiting, so I came out.”
Old Man Pei glanced at the two of them, deliberately clearing his throat.
Pei Du acted like he didn’t hear, asking Sheng Yiguang, “Has the stock market opened?”
Sheng Yiguang nodded. “It has, I checked, it’s at seven points.”
Old Man Pei tried his best to make his presence known.
“Ahem, ahem, ahem!”
Then he choked, coughing loudly.
Pei Du finally turned around, saying, “Why don’t you go inside and get checked out too?”
Old Man Pei: “You! Cough! Cough cough!” You! Ungrateful grandson!
Wen Heng clenched his fists, stepping forward. “Pei-ge.”
