ACBNHTS Chapter 62
by BLReadsChapter 62: Do you know how cute my baby is?
Yin Xue’s mind went blank.
Pei Du lowered his eyes and inserted the knife into Hu Jiawei’s finger gap again.
The movement was as clean and neat as a surgeon’s, but with a touch of elegant composure and nonchalance.
Yin Xue screamed again in fright.
Hu Jiawei couldn’t see anything. The fear he imagined himself, coupled with Yin Xue’s ear-piercing screams, frightened him even more. The towel stuffed in his mouth couldn’t stop his terrified whimpers, and he directly wet his pants in fear.
A strange smell permeated the private room.
Yin Xue stared fixedly at the dagger, afraid that the next second, this master would be displeased and slash the knife across her face.
If she had known this guy was so hard to deal with, why would she want the money?!
“I, I was just kidding.”
“Am I that easy to fool?”
Yin Xue immediately admitted defeat, “I, I dare not anymore. I really dare not anymore, I won’t do it again in the future!”
“Really?”
“Really! Really! Really!”
Pei Du slowly pulled out the knife, placed it against Yin Xue’s face, and said in a low voice,
“Then go apologize to him, just say you know you were wrong, say you were short on money and temporarily lost your mind, and will never bother his life again.”
Yin Xue stared at the knife pressed against her face, breaking out in a cold sweat.
“Okay!”
“Also, don’t tell him that I was the one who found you, just say that you suddenly realized your mistake yourself, can you do that?”
“Yes!”
“Very good.”
Pei Du sheathed the knife.
The man who was restraining Yin Xue also released his hand.
Yin Xue collapsed on the ground, her hands and feet cold and still trembling.
Pei Du raised his foot to leave, but Yin Xue suddenly grabbed his trouser leg.
“Then these debts…”
“You want to write them off?”
Yin Xue nodded, “I will do as you command, so, can you…”
Pei Du refused with a smile, “No.”
Yin Xue’s breath hitched, and she looked at Pei Du in despair.
Pei Du took a step back, shook off Yin Xue’s hand, and looked down at her condescendingly.
“However, you can temporarily postpone the repayment. If you ever go to harass Sheng Yiguang and me again, then what you have to repay will be more than just this sum of money.”
Yin Xue understood.
He was going to hold her handle, forever controlling her.
Yin Xue immediately expressed her position.
“I understand, don’t worry! I will definitely do as you ask!”
Pei Du waved his hand, signaling the men to take them away.
Yin Xue and Hu Jiawei were both taken away.
The two of them were almost dragged out of the private room. They hadn’t gone far when they ran into Lu Zhengyang head-on.
Lu Zhengyang was originally just passing by. His peripheral vision caught a familiar face, so he looked twice and recognized Yin Xue and Hu Jiawei.
He looked at their backs, then looked in the opposite direction.
He saw Pei Du walking out of the private room.
They had their backs to him and didn’t see him.
They seemed to be changing private rooms.
Lu Zhengyang thought for a moment, then walked to the private room Pei Du and the others had come out of.
At first glance, it looked no different from an ordinary private room.
But there was a knife on the ground, and a suspicious puddle of liquid.
Just then, a waiter came in to clean up.
Lu Zhengyang stepped aside but didn’t leave immediately.
The sound of the waiter came from the not-fully-closed door.
“Damn! This is urine!”
“Don’t shout! You should be glad this isn’t blood! You were yelling so loudly just now, it scared me to death, I thought someone was going to die.”
Upon hearing this, Lu Zhengyang turned his head and looked in the direction where Pei Du had disappeared.
Did Pei Du do it?
–
Pei Du disliked that the private room had been soiled, so he changed to another one. He sat on the sofa, pinched the space between his eyebrows, his brow furrowed with suppressed irritation.
Zhao Xicai walked over and saw that something was wrong with him at a glance.
“Are you still taking medicine?”
Pei Du’s hand pinching his brow paused, “I’m taking less, I can control it.”
Zhao Xicai knew that his illness wouldn’t be so easy to cure.
“Does Sheng Yiguang know that you haven’t fully recovered?”
“No, I put my medicine in vitamin bottles, he wouldn’t guess even if he saw it.”
Zhao Xicai frowned, not quite agreeing with his approach, but he could understand.
“Why didn’t you use this to play the sympathy card? To make him love you even more?”
Pei Du chuckled, “Do I need to? He already loves me very much.”
Zhao Xicai secretly rolled his eyes.
Your life is getting better.
Who was the one who used to be driven to death by his wife?
Pei Du stood up, “I’m going back.”
Zhao Xicai was surprised, “It’s already two o’clock, you’re still going back? Aren’t you afraid of waking him up?”
Pei Du smiled, “Then you’re wrong, do you know how cute my baby is?”
Zhao Xicai: Here we go again.
“I don’t want to…”
Pei Du pretended not to hear and continued, “When we first got together, he wasn’t used to sleeping with me yet. Every time he woke up in the middle of the night, he would slowly crawl back into my arms without me having to say anything.”
Zhao Xicai: “You’ve told me before, my ears are going to…”
Pei Du: “I’m going back to sleep with him, he’ll only be happy, you, understand?”
Zhao Xicai: “…”
Zhao Xicai was speechless and shooed him away, “Then hurry back, if you’re too slow, your wife might cry if he wakes up in the middle of the night and sees you’re not in bed.”
Pei Du laughed and picked up his coat, “I’m leaving.”
Zhao Xicai breathed a sigh of relief.
This lord, finally left.
Leaving the bar, Pei Du drove straight home.
The house was dark, Sheng Yiguang and Sheng Tong were already asleep.
Pei Du gently opened the door of the room, saw the person lying on the bed, took off his clothes, crawled in, hugged him with the quilt, and kissed him on the cheek.
Sheng Yiguang moved, opened his eyes sleepily, recognized him with a slow reaction, then slowly turned to face him, rested his head against him, and closed his eyes to sleep.
Pei Du’s heart softened, hugging him, his active and restless cerebral cortex seemed to be wrapped in a ball of softness, gradually calming down at this moment…
–
The next day, during lunch break, Sheng Yiguang received a call from an unknown number. The caller was Yin Xue.
The intention was clear, she wanted to meet.
“Xiaoguang, Mom is waiting for you at the coffee shop across from your company. I won’t leave if you don’t come.”
Sheng Yiguang went over.
Yin Xue pushed a small box of cake over.
“I made it myself, try it.”
Sheng Yiguang’s expression was cold, and he refused directly.
“No need, just say what you want to say.”
“I’m here to apologize to you. I was a little tight on money a while ago, and couldn’t make ends meet. My husband was also fired, so I had bad intentions and hurt you and Tongtong.”
Yin Xue said the words she had prepared long ago, paused, and looked at Sheng Yiguang.
“Mom is very sorry to you.”
Sheng Yiguang’s hand resting on the table moved slightly, his mood complex, feeling both ironic and incredible.
“What trick are you trying to play now?”
Yin Xue waved her hands repeatedly, “No! I’m sincerely apologizing. I won’t appear by your side or disturb your lives in the future.”
Sheng Yiguang looked at the cake, without saying anything.
Yin Xue completed her task and stood up, “I’ve said everything I wanted to say, take care of yourself in the future.”
