ACIFITFDB – Chapter 30
by BLReadsThe broadcast ended, and the entire teaching building erupted into a frenzy. Screams, whether of despair or pure release, echoed from students.
Qin Xian, who had been stepping out, retracted his foot. He turned back to the classroom doorway and yelled, “Stay inside! Lock the doors and barricade them! But make sure you leave yourselves an escape route. Be quiet and don’t make a sound.”
Xu Zimo immediately led the students into action, closing and locking the classroom’s front and back doors, securing the windows, and then finding places to hide. They crouched below the window walls, some hid behind and to the sides of the podium.
Qin Xian stood outside the classroom, taking out his switchblade and flicking it open.
A whistle sounded nearby. The Student Council President leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, looking quite relaxed. He seemed unfazed by the chaotic and terrifying scene, his gaze fixed on Qin Xian.
Unlike him, the other members appeared caught off guard, looking at him in a panic and asking, “Pres… President, are we going to participate too? Are we going to be hunted by monsters too?”
The President tugged at a strange black-red armband on his shoulder. “With this, the monsters won’t attack us.”
After speaking, he smirked maliciously. “Don’t let anyone snatch it away.”
His voice was noticeably louder than before, and a significant number of students from nearby classrooms likely heard him.
The Student Council member immediately clutched his arm nervously.
Qin Xian stared at the President. Judging by his expression, it was deliberate.
Malicious, unknown origins – he detested people like that.
Qin Xian walked towards the stairwell with his knife. The President and his group immediately followed.
As they descended, Qin Xian repeatedly called out to students still running around outside their classrooms, telling them to immediately go inside and hide. Although some still disobeyed and ran out to look around, most students dared not move rashly, staying in the teaching building and not venturing out.
The Student Council President chuckled from the side, “You really think you’re a teacher, don’t you?”
Upon reaching the first floor, Qin Xian suddenly stopped.
The President asked, “Why aren’t we going any further?”
Screams from the upper floors indicated that the students had seen something.
Qin Xian tightened his grip on the switchblade and looked at a giant monster crawling out of a flower bed not far away. It resembled an upgraded security guard, with a massive skull on its head. The top of the skull was flipped open, revealing a huge mouth from which several tongues protruded.
Now, this head, as a weak point, was much harder to deal with because it was covered with a thick layer of mucus.
The lower half of the monster’s body was a black spider, its round abdomen covered in sharp hairs. Its raised tail was brewing something.
Qin Xian immediately dodged to the side as a thick strand of webbing shot out, sticking to a classroom window not far away.
Students still outside the classroom screamed and rushed back inside, frantically closing windows and doors. For a moment, the teaching building quieted down, with students hiding inside and afraid to make a sound.
Qin Xian shouted one last time towards the teaching building, “Stay quiet! Stay in your classrooms and don’t run around!”
As soon as he finished speaking, the spider lifted its hind legs, grabbed the silk strand, and gave a violent tug. The wide metal window frame emitted a teeth-grinding sound and, after less than two seconds, was pulled off entirely.
The glass shattered immediately, spraying everywhere amidst the students’ screams.
Seeing Qin Xian about to rush over to save them, the Student Council President stood aside and said, “Follow us, and you don’t have to worry about being eaten by this monster.”
Qin Xian ignored him. Seeing the spider break through the window and prepare to enter the classroom to hunt students, he directly pursued the spider.
But the spider was covered in bristles and clearly poisonous. Qin Xian, who had planned to jump onto its soft abdomen to attack the weak point, immediately slammed on the brakes.
He made a decisive move, picked up the discarded window frame from the ground, gripped it with both hands, spun it once, and threw it like a hammer throw towards the skull.
With a “clang,” the window frame hit the spider monster’s skull heavily, then shifted and fell, precisely fitting around what could be called the “neck” below the skull.
“Squeak, squeak, squeak!!!”
The spider monster’s movement towards the teaching building was immediately interrupted. It jumped up in anger, trying to remove the object from its neck.
But the spider’s eight legs were only suitable for agile movement; it couldn’t remove the window frame from its neck. Its legs couldn’t bend upwards.
It flailed its front limbs in the air, but couldn’t reach it, looking particularly ridiculous.
“Hahahaha.”
Someone couldn’t help but laugh.
The spider monster turned its head in anger, only to find that the one laughing was the Student Council President, wearing the armband, an unattackable target.
But the real culprit was nearby.
The spider monster shrieked and turned, raising its front limbs to stab viciously at Qin Xian.
However, Qin Xian caught a glimpse of the spider’s movement, smiled, and directly charged towards the Student Council President. The Student Council President’s smile faltered for a moment, but then he seemed to smile even more happily.
The spider’s legs chased after him, aiming for his back, but just as he was about to be impaled, Qin Xian grabbed the Student Council President by the shoulder and threw him, swapping their positions.
The spider’s legs stopped just in front of the President’s head, not directly piercing it.
The President gently pushed the spider’s leg aside, tilted his head, and complained to Qin Xian, “You’re so heartless, using me as a human shield. I’m a student, the flower of the nation, shouldn’t you be protecting me?”
“Heh heh.” Qin Xian felt like he was hearing a joke. “You’re a student? I suspect you’re not even human.”
The spider opposite, seeing this scene, let out an enraged scream. But Qin Xian held a bugged-level shield, leaving it with no way to attack.
Its exposed brain thought hard for a moment. Qin Xian was just one meal, but the building next to them was filled with more easily obtainable snacks. The spider immediately turned its body and continued towards the teaching building.
Qin Xian, one hand gripping the President’s collar and the other holding his switchblade, chased after it, stabbing it into the spider’s leg joint.
This human, why is he so annoying!!
The spider monster stumbled in pain and had no choice but to turn back, its skull’s dark eye sockets fixed on Qin Xian.
After some difficult thought, its rotten brain finally came up with a good idea.
If it wanted to attack Qin Xian, it had to get rid of the humanoid shield in his hand.
As Qin Xian attacked its second leg, the spider sprayed a large amount of webbing from its tail. Qin Xian reflexively dodged, only to find that the webbing wasn’t aimed at him, but at the Student Council President in his hand.
The President remained motionless, and the spider silk directly hit his leg. Stuck to the ground by the spider silk, he even smiled at Qin Xian, “Uh oh, looks like your shield is gone.”
So annoying.
Seeing the spider’s legs attacking from multiple directions, Qin Xian had no choice but to move away from the President to dodge. The spider, unable to stab them, directly unleashed a wide-range attack, launching its highly poisonous bristles everywhere, covering Qin Xian.
Qin Xian sprinted towards the notice board in front of the teaching building, but he would likely be hit before reaching it.
Just then, a moving blackboard rushed out from the garden. Seeing this, Qin Xian immediately changed direction and rushed behind the blackboard.
The bristles thudded against the blackboard, and a few even penetrated it slightly, their poisoned tips protruding from the other side.
Another person was hiding behind the blackboard, a young man about thirty years old.
Qin Xian nodded at him, “Thank you, are you a police officer?”
The other party replied, “Yes, my surname is Zhang. I just came in this morning, posing as a maintenance worker.”
It seemed he had gotten the blackboard from some storage room.
Qin Xian looked at the blackboard beside him, but in the next second, a powerful dragging force prevented Officer Zhang from holding on, and the blackboard flew away.
A bundle of spider silk was stuck to the back of the blackboard.
Having removed their defense, the spider gleefully rubbed its front legs together, roaring down from above. Then, in the next second, with a few soft “pfft pfft pfft” sounds, the spider immediately shrieked and retreated, writhing its spider legs in pain.
Qin Xian turned his head, his eyes lighting up, and he couldn’t help but exclaim, “Whoa, that’s good stuff.”
Officer Zhang was holding a nail gun, loaded with I-shaped nails nearly a centimeter long. As long as the trigger was pressed, these nails would be shot out, but not with particularly great force.
“But it’s unlikely we can kill it with just this,” Officer Zhang frowned.
Qin Xian replied, “Interfering with it is enough. Can you help distract it?”
Officer Zhang’s hand trembled. He took a deep breath and nodded.
“Shoot its joints, eyes, and the brain inside the skull! If it catches up to you, hide behind that Student Council President.”
After speaking, Qin Xian rushed in the opposite direction of Officer Zhang.
The spider had also recovered and noticed Qin Xian escaping. However, at this moment, its hatred for Officer Zhang, who had injured it, was even deeper. It charged directly at Officer Zhang.
Meanwhile, Qin Xian directly removed the transparent glass panel from the notice board and slammed it against the spider monster’s bristly body.
Something hitting it, the monster reflexively shot out a large amount of bristles, shredding the glass panel.
But Qin Xian looked at its appearance and smiled coldly.
The spider’s launched bristles couldn’t grow back immediately. When it shot out a large clump of bristles, a large bald patch would appear on its abdomen. The previously hard-to-approach torso became a place to stand.
Even because it wanted to attack the policeman in front of it, it kept shooting out bristles, completely unaware that the number of bristles it could shoot was decreasing, and its round body was becoming increasingly bald.
Just as the policeman was rolling on the ground in a desperate struggle, the spider monster, preparing for a final blow, suddenly felt something unusual on its abdomen, as if something was stepping on it.
It reflexively kicked out more bristles, but not only did it fail to dislodge what was behind it, but it also felt a sharp pain from its tail end.
“Squeak, squeak, squeak!!!” It shrieked and turned its head, discovering Qin Xian standing on its abdomen, jamming a sharp stone directly into its tail spinneret.
The fragile part throbbed with sharp pain, and its ability to spin silk was rendered useless. Its remaining attack methods were only its legs and the toothed tongues in its skull.
Several scarlet tongues coiled towards Qin Xian, but this type of tentacle attack was the most common grotesque attack method Qin Xian had encountered in Infinite Stream worlds. He was already skilled at dealing with ordinary tentacle attacks.
He first crouched to attract the tentacles to attack downwards, then jumped upwards to a certain height and position, attracting all the petal-like tentacles to open, exposing their most vulnerable core.
Qin Xian was not afraid of the tongue-tentacles covering the sky above his head. He descended with even greater speed and stabbed into the vulnerable brain.
Pull out, stab down, pull out, stab down!
Flesh and blood fragments splattered on his face. The surrounding tongues twitched in pain, and his continuous stabbing into the monster’s brain looked like that of a complete pervert.
Officer Zhang, not far away, watched dumbfounded.
“Ah, so wonderful…”
Another voice sounded from nearby, giving Officer Zhang a second scare. He turned his head and saw the Student Council President, stuck to the ground, looking up at Qin Xian in the distance with an infatuated expression.
Officer Zhang: “…”
With its fatal weak point stabbed more than ten times, the spider monster soon let out a wail and convulsed before falling to the ground.
Qin Xian jumped off it, and screams and applause suddenly erupted from the teaching building. Qin Xian looked up and saw a pile of curious and daring little heads peeking out from the corridors, having apparently been watching for a long time.
Someone even screamed, “Teacher Qin! I love you!!!”
Qin Xian, torn between laughter and tears, turned away from the students. He walked towards Officer Zhang, only to see the Student Council President cleaning himself of the spider silk. As he approached, he said in an infatuated tone, “Teacher Qin, what should I do? I love you so much too.”
