ACIFITFDB – Chapter 17
by BLReadsChapter 17: Skills and Weapons Are Coming Online!
The villager’s finger was ripped off at the joint, and blood gushed from the wound, soaking through the fabric of his sleeve.
“Argh!” The villager gritted his teeth, sweating profusely, unable to get up from the ground due to the pain.
His companions watched, their backs breaking out in a cold sweat. After a few seconds, they reacted, picked up the severed finger, and dragged their comrade away.
Another villager angrily charged forward. “You motherfucker!”
He raised his leg to kick Qin Xian’s head.
Qin Xian hadn’t used much force, and the villager he was holding relaxed his guard, not even bothering to defend himself.
As the incoming foot flew towards him, Qin Xian suddenly exerted force and dodged to the side. The villager’s foot directly kicked his companion. The distracted companion took the full force on his soft waist and fell to the ground, clutching his stomach and seeing stars from the pain.
“Fuck! You kicked me! Send this kid to the dark web live stream! Skin him alive, take out his organs, and see if he’s still so arrogant!”
“Okay, that’s what we’ll do.” The villager said to Qin Xian, “This is on you. You could have lived a good life, gone on the live stream, taken off your clothes to please rich women. Now you’re just a lamb to the slaughter.”
Qin Xian remained expressionless, showing no fear.
The villager became even more enraged and sneered, “Still that expression? Take them to see the other live streams. After watching, I’ll see if he can keep that expression. Humph.”
This idea was supported by the others. “Good, good, good! Seeing him like this makes me want to burn! Get up! Come with me.”
The villagers pulled Qin Xian up from the ground, as did Huang Quxie.
Qin Xian didn’t resist, getting up obediently and moving forward with the villagers’ force. But this time, the villagers dared not be careless. Four of them, armed, walked beside Qin Xian, nervously watching his every move.
Qin Xian walked with ease, observing his surroundings.
He thought the temporary structures on the ground were the worst the village had to offer, but he hadn’t expected things to be even more outrageous underground.
The entire underground area was constructed from strange materials. The floors, walls, and ceilings were a mixture of flesh and machinery, similar to the mutations on the monsters.
In addition to these bizarre structures, dense cables writhed everywhere. These cables were black and dark red, their outer casings covered in sticky filth. They were alive, and their occasional writhing movements were disturbingly like worms, making one feel sick just by looking at them.
Perhaps because it was filled with strange things, the underground space didn’t seem very large, with only a few rooms.
Each room had live streaming equipment set up, just like on the surface. The rooms also contained operating tables, instrument carts, and some even had restraint chairs, hobby horses, waterbeds, and a host of other items that would require mosaics.
Inside the rooms, one or more people were suffering.
Qin Xian and Huang Quxie walked past the first room and saw a person lying on a bloody operating table. He was screaming incessantly, while a monster with a camera for a head ignored him, using a scalpel to cut his skin. Blood gushed from the open wounds, staining the floor.
On the large electronic screen opposite, the “surgery” was being broadcast, the screen filled with red and no mosaics at all.
This was clearly not a normal live stream, and the audience was not normal either.
Bullet comments continuously scrolled across:
[This muscle, so fresh and beautiful.]
[Cut that artery on his hand! If you cut it, I’ll tip twenty thousand!]
[Don’t just focus the camera on the cut, I want to see this pig’s pained expression, hehe.]
The camera monster emitted a mechanical electric sound and interacted with the audience: “Haha, as long as you tip, I’ll satisfy everyone’s requests, but we have to take it slowly, step by step, from skin to organs. If I kill him too quickly, it won’t be fun.”
Qin Xian frowned as he watched. The villager holding him saw that he finally showed a change in expression and immediately leaned in with a sinister grin. “See? This is your fate later.”
Qin Xian rolled his eyes at him, then resumed his expressionless demeanor.
Huang Quxie, on the other hand, had already turned pale, his teeth clenched. He stared at the villagers as if he was about to pounce and bite them.
Seeing this, the villager angrily said, “Still not scared? If you’re not afraid of blood, are you afraid of this!?”
With that, he dragged Qin Xian to the next room.
Inside, a handsome man with a muscular physique lay bound and suspended in the air by thick black wires inserted from various angles. His eyes stared blankly at the camera.
The man moaned in pain, tears streaming from his eyes.
The villager chuckled, “How is it? How about we let you stay in this live stream for a while before sending you to the operating table?”
Qin Xian raised his head and gave his captor a mocking smile. “I think… not!”
As soon as he finished speaking, he grabbed the wrist of the villager behind him and twisted it downwards.
“Crack!” The man’s wrist dislocated, and he fell to the ground, screaming.
Qin Xian seized the opportunity to break free. He raised his arm and struck the villager holding Huang Quxie with his elbow, the joint of his elbow smashing into the vulnerable face.
“Ahhh!” The villager lost the ability to stand and fell backward to the ground, unconscious.
Huang Quxie also took the chance to break free and threw a charging villager to the ground with a back suplex.
Qin Xian roared at him, “Isn’t it time for guns now?!”
Huang Quxie pulled out his handgun and shot the head of a monster. “I know! But what about your trump card?”
Blue flames suddenly ignited in Qin Xian’s hand, and a long black whip appeared in his grasp.
Qin Xian swung the whip, and it whistled through the air, snapping off a monster’s metal leg.
Huang Quxie looked at the whip, unable to discern its material, but it was incredibly lethal when swung.
With the whip in hand, Qin Xian’s aura became even more terrifying. He stood still, and with a flick of his arm, he crushed the head of an enemy three meters away.
“Crack!”
With one whip, the villagers and monsters who tried to charge forward sustained wounds that went bone-deep.
“Crack!”
With another whip, the nearest monster was ensnared by the neck and dragged to Qin Xian, who stomped on its camera-head, crushing it.
Huang Quxie, meanwhile, shot and killed two monsters on the other side before approaching Qin Xian. “What next? Where do we go?”
Qin Xian’s eyes flashed gold as he pointed to a dark section of the wall in the distance. “That way.”
Huang Quxie glanced over. The wall was covered in all sorts of cables, making it look like there was no passage.
That “wall” seemed to sense their intentions. Cables of various colors surged and suddenly shot towards Qin Xian.
Qin Xian lashed out fiercely with his whip, but the whip, being a flexible weapon, was almost useless against equally flexible cables. After several strikes, he only managed to break one or two cables.
But the remaining cables still surged towards him like a tidal wave. Qin Xian looked minuscule facing them.
Huang Quxie said urgently, “Careful!”
Qin Xian stared intently ahead. Just as the cables were about to entangle him, blue flames erupted from the tip of the whip.
The passing cables that brushed against the flames were immediately engulfed by them, as if the flames were a tenacious parasite.
The cables faltered, seemingly in great pain, writhing and flailing in an attempt to extinguish the flames.
But the flames couldn’t be extinguished. In fact, any other unaffected cables that came into contact with them would immediately catch fire.
A piercing shriek came from the depths of the room. The cables thrashed more violently, knocking over nearby broadcasting equipment, scaring the surrounding villagers into screaming and fleeing.
Scattered monsters rushed forward to help, but after being splashed by the flames, they soon rolled into heaps of ashes.
Huang Quxie, busy rescuing victims from the live streams, was startled by the flames that burned anything they touched and couldn’t be put out.
When the flames splashed onto his hand, he was so terrified that he was ready to sever his own arm to save himself. However, the flames seemed not to burn their own and quickly extinguished.
Huang Quxie stared in disbelief. “Brother, is that Samadhi True Fire or Void Devouring Flame?”
But he received no answer. Huang Quxie turned to look and saw that Qin Xian’s face was clearly pale. It seemed that using these flames was not easy and likely had significant negative effects on the user.
The cable monster also seemed to realize the fire was unusual. The cables that had been struggling one by one became lifeless and fell to the ground, burning motionless in the flames.
Looking closely, the wall that had been covered in cables had disappeared, revealing a terrifying sight on the other side.
A giant monster curled up in a cave, hugging its knees. Its head was composed of dozens of monitors of various sizes, but the monitors still retained portions of human flesh.
Countless cables extended from the monster’s back, filling the entire space.
And now, it was screaming as it severed its own limbs to prevent the flames from reaching its core. Large amounts of severed limbs fell to the ground, piling up half a meter high.
The blue flames rapidly consumed the severed limbs. Soon, only piles of ashes remained on the ground. The surrounding villagers had already fled. The less intelligent monsters, after scurrying around in a panic from the fire, fell to the ground and died.
In just a few minutes, the underground area became much quieter.
Huang Quxie walked to Qin Xian’s side and reached out to help him. “Hey, are you alright? Here, have some water.”
Qin Xian dodged his hand but took the water and gulped down nearly half a bottle. He wiped his mouth and let out a long sigh, leaning against the earthen wall that had now revealed its original appearance.
The blue flames on the ground had not completely extinguished. The giant monster ten meters away dared not attack them. However, its nearly one hundred electronic screen heads flickered with a giant eye, staring intently at Qin Xian, as if it wanted to rush over and devour him the next second.
Qin Xian smiled. Although he looked very tired, he still extended his hand towards the monster and gave it a middle finger.
Huang Quxie said, “Hey…”
