    Chapter Index

“It doesn’t matter, if you die, it just proves you’re not qualified to be my suitor,” Qin Xian said coldly. “After all, I only like strong people.”

The Student Council President also smiled. “You’re quite heartless, Teacher Qin… but unfortunately, I really don’t know where the owner of this domain is hiding. I only entered half a day before you, and haven’t fully figured out the rules here yet. But I can still tell you everything I know, as long as you come with me to the Student Council Office to rest for a bit.”

Qin Xian stood up directly and walked towards the teaching building. He entered classroom 2203, which was now empty of students, and directly found a seat.

The Student Council President followed closely, pulling up a chair and sitting beside him.

He shook his head and sighed, feigning concern. “Alas, my place is more comfortable. Why don’t you appreciate it?”

“Less nonsense. If you don’t want me to hit you, just tell me what you know directly.”

Seeing Qin Xian’s restless fists, the Student Council President sighed heavily. “Alright, what do you want to know about?”

Qin Xian directly pointed to the armband on his arm, without speaking.

But the President immediately understood. He smiled and directly pulled off the Student Council armband from his right hand, placing it in Qin Xian’s palm. However, the armband immediately disappeared and reappeared on the President’s right hand the next second.

The President spread his hands. “It’s no use, Teacher Qin’s identity is a teacher, and only students can hold positions in the Student Council.”

Qin Xian asked, “Does that mean it can be transferred to other students?”

    The President nodded. “It can.”

“Can I change my identity? Or, are there any external rescue personnel among the students?”

“Identity cannot be changed. External personnel over 18 years old will not be granted student status. They can only be faculty or maintenance staff, etc.”

Qin Xian casually sized up the President. “Are you 18?”

The Student Council President smiled strangely and shyly. “Yes, I just turned eighteen.”

His tone was normal, but Qin Xian couldn’t help but think of the short videos he’d been seeing lately… the ones where people pinched their voices to say, “I just turned eighteen~.”

    He got goosebumps.

However, it seemed that using the armband to exploit a loophole wouldn’t work.

The President suddenly spoke up. “Actually, the armband doesn’t offer 100% protection against attacks. If you face higher-level individuals or Eldritch beings, they can directly strip the armband away.”

“Higher-level… so this domain is tiered? Tell me about it.”

“The lowest level is external faculty, then students, followed by formal teachers, student leaders, and other leaders, and finally, the preaching teachers. There seem to be levels above that, but I don’t know.”

Qin Xian frowned. “Preaching teachers? Could it be…”

A word flashed in his mind: “Tongguidao?”

The Student Council President nodded. “It seems to be called that. Ah, speaking of which, the next class is Religious Studies. Every class has this subject, and each class is taught by a preaching teacher.”

And the content of this class, one could imagine, would be to brainwash students with their doctrines.

Qin Xian asked, “Have the students taken this class before?”

The Student Council President replied, “No, yesterday was very chaotic. Many people resisted, and many classes were not successfully conducted.”

Qin Xian lowered his head and thought.

They haven’t started preaching to the students yet, so he had to disrupt this class. Fortunately, the efficiency of these enemies was low enough.

Just then, the bell in the teaching building suddenly rang, and a voice came from the broadcast: “Religious Studies class is about to begin. All students please return to your classrooms within three minutes to prepare for class. Exceeding the time limit will result in immediate execution!”

As soon as the broadcast stopped, the teaching building became even more restless. The students who had just fled peeked out nervously, and some had already returned to their classrooms.

Seeing the students coming in, Qin Xian struggled to support himself on the table and walked out.

The Student Council President followed closely. Seizing the opportunity, he seemingly tried to curry favor. “Teacher Qin, if you don’t want to rest at my place, how about resting in the faculty office? The office is on the easternmost room of each floor.”

Qin Xian didn’t reply, but he had already set off towards the easternmost side of the first floor. After passing through the crowd of students, he indeed saw the office at the end.

There were already several people in the office. Seeing him push the door open, they all turned their heads.

Qin Xian walked to the nearest empty chair and sat down, leaning back against the chair with his body askew. He raised his head and observed the others in the office without any pretense.

They were clearly not students. They were all uniformly dressed in black robes with black masks, adorned with strange patterns in gold and red. Outside, it seemed to be a Bagua symbol, but instead of Yin and Yang in the center, there was a red ghost head with fangs.

Without a doubt, these people belonged to the “Tongguidao” organization.

As Qin Xian observed them, they also sized him up. One middle-aged man stepped forward, a sales-pitch smile on his face.

The man said, “Hello, are you a skilled individual from the folk?”

Qin Xian smiled. “That’s a funny thing to say. Are you from the official side?”

Despite being retorted, the man still smiled. “But we, Tongguidao, are the most legitimate and strongest organization now. Would you like to join us? We are very welcoming to powerful people like you.”

“Heh heh.” Qin Xian’s smile didn’t reach his eyes. “Strong organizations don’t need to expand their scale by acting as pimps.”

The man’s smile faded slightly. “Our organization is naturally very powerful. Ordinary people can’t just join if they want to, but we are very welcoming to talents like you.”

Qin Xian propped his face with one hand, his upper body half-slumped over the nearby table as if boneless. He sneered, “I say, do you really know what you’re doing? Do you know what your organization does?”

The man immediately replied, “Of course, we know! We are a branch of Taoism. In times of rampant evil spirits, we actively come out to save the world!”

Qin Xian rolled his eyes. Still trying to piggyback on Taoism, how shameless! But these people were indeed quite foolish, thoroughly brainwashed.

“Your saving the world, does it mean imprisoning and torturing nearly a thousand students, even possibly killing them?”

The office fell silent for a moment, but then someone immediately retorted, “How could that be! We are just letting the world know the cruel truth!”

The man also reacted. “Yes, the world is now in chaos, and ghosts from the underworld are invading the human realm. We are now making these children realize the truth! To make them stronger, so they can survive in this chaotic world!”

Qin Xian’s eyes were cold. “And what if some children are injured or die?”

“Then it means they are not suited to survive in this world. Even if they don’t die now, they will inevitably die in the future, so it’s better to be freed sooner. To put it bluntly, it’s survival of the fittest!”

The man’s eyes revealed madness, and the others in the office were the same, with only a very few showing hesitation.

Qin Xian looked directly at the Student Council President beside him. “Go, beat them up and shut their mouths.”

The man was stunned for a moment, and just as he was about to mock them, he saw the child beside him, who hadn’t fully grown up yet, charge forward at a speed that was difficult for the naked eye to capture.

A fist landed heavily on his eye socket. Intense pain struck him, and before he could even scream, he was punched unconscious.

“What are you doing, student!? We’re going to kill you!”

However, the only response was more fists.

Seeing this, the other people in the office rushed forward, but five or six adults couldn’t subdue a young boy.

Qin Xian propped his head and squinted, taking in all of the President’s actions.

When this guy fought, he seemed fearless of death, paying no attention to protecting his own vital points. But every move he made was aimed at vital points: the throat, the temples, the abdomen unprotected by ribs… But he controlled his strength well, only beating people until they couldn’t move on the ground. No one had died yet.

The strangest thing was that his fighting style seemed a bit uncoordinated, and he liked to attack forward with both hands simultaneously.

In any case, he didn’t look much like a human.

After dealing with these cult members, the Student Council President triumphantly walked up to Qin Xian. “How was it? Am I strong? Am I obedient to you?”

Qin Xian, who had previously said, “I like strong people” and “I like those who are obedient to me,” closed his eyes.

While relaxing himself, he pondered how to handle the Student Council President before him. Although he didn’t know the purpose of this thing, since it said it was obedient to him, it would be a shame not to utilize it well.

After resting for a few minutes, he opened his eyes and gave an order: “You, go see if the police who were supposed to arrive are here yet. If they are, have them guard the main power switch and prevent anyone from damaging the broadcast system. By the way, do you know where the broadcast room is?”

The Student Council President smiled and obediently replied, “I know, it’s in the small office in the middle of the third floor.”

Qin Xian slowly got up and walked out. At the doorway, he glanced back and said to the Student Council President, who was admiring his retreating back, “Aren’t you coming?”

“Okay, as you command.” Only then did he move and walk out the door.

Qin Xian went directly to the third floor and found the broadcast room. He pushed the door open and saw a man sitting inside, half-asleep.

Seeing him, the man immediately became alert and stood up to question him. Then, he was punched by Qin Xian in front of his eyes and fell to the ground with a thud.

Qin Xian sat down in front of the computer and looked at the unfamiliar operating system, regretting it slightly. He should have kept this person to force him to explain how to use it before knocking him out… However, this thing should not be difficult to use.

He carefully looked at the interface, lit up all the broadcastable locations such as Teaching Building 1, Teaching Building 2, Playground 1… turned the volume to maximum, adjusted the microphone, and pressed the record icon.

    “Hello, hello?”

    “Hello, hello!!!”

A huge sound immediately erupted from outside the window, making Qin Xian frown and cover his ears.

But this was the effect he wanted: to drown out all other sounds and silence those who were trying to spread wrong ideas by holding classes.

As expected, after a few “hello”s, angry shouts came from outside: “Who’s using the broadcast system!! Go inside and see who it is and make them shut up!!”

Qin Xian watched the door. Footsteps were rapidly approaching. But before they reached the doorway, a muffled groan and a falling sound were heard.

He looked up and saw the Student Council President walk in, leaning against the doorframe with a proud expression. “How was it? I completed the task and then rushed back. Shouldn’t I be praised?”

Qin Xian paused for a moment.

This way of seeking praise after completing a task was truly dog-like.
