    01: Lust Makes One Blind

Mid-September, a few days before the Mid-Autumn Festival, the moon was a barely discernible crescent.

Jing Yueming had been returning this late every day since the start of the semester. Luckily, he rented an off-campus apartment.

He didn’t have to worry about the 10 PM dormitory curfew.

At 11:00 PM on this particular night, he found someone at his door.

A man in a burgundy shirt.

He was squatting at his door, smelling of red wine, his face buried in his half-long hair, half-asleep.

This was his next-door neighbor. He wasn’t familiar with the specific occupation, but now it seemed like he worked at a bar.

But compared to working at a bar, 11:00 PM seemed a bit early to be back. Could it be he’d been dumped by a sugar daddy?

    Jing Yueming patted his shoulder.

The man looked up. Every time Jing Yueming ran into him in the elevator, he was startled by this face.

It wasn’t that he was ugly. His features were quite perfect, with a hint of femininity. This androgynous aura made him even more attractive.

The reason for the shock was.

He looked too much like Jing Yueming’s ex-girlfriend.

The man looked at Jing Yueming with dazed eyes, seeming a bit grumpy at being woken up.

His pupils were green, a green like the aurora borealis.

“Your place is over there,” Jing Yueming reminded him.

The man staggered to his feet and fumbled in his suit pants pocket.

Instead, he pulled out two Safety set/Condoms, leaving Jing Yueming speechless.

The man coughed lightly, “I don’t seem to have my keys.”

Jing Yueming looked up at the password lock next door, “Do you remember the password?”

The man seemed about to lose his balance again. How much had he drunk?

“I don’t think there’s a password,” the man said uncertainly.

    Oh well, they were neighbors.

Jing Yueming turned and opened his own door, “Come to my place first.”

He helped the man to the bedroom and tossed him onto the large bed.

The man wasn’t compliant and struggled to get up, “Hot.”

Jing Yueming turned on the air conditioner.

It would be uncomfortable to sleep in a shirt and suit pants, “Do you want to change clothes? Take off your makeup too,” Jing Yueming asked his neighbor.

The man narrowed his eyes, his gaze filled with desire as he scanned Jing Yueming’s entire body.

Jing Yueming took out a wet wipe from the drawer and smeared it on the man’s face. Interestingly, nothing came off.

    Never mind.

“Can you take out your own colored contacts?” Although it was a question, Jing Yueming’s fingers were already about to poke into the man’s eyes.

The handsome neighbor struggled, “I’m not wearing colored contacts.”

    “Huh?”

During the struggle, the Safety set/Condoms and runhua oil fell out of the man’s pocket.

They were both stunned for a moment.

The man looked at the college student in front of him with a playful smile, “Are you Gay?”

Jing Yueming became wary, “Those are all yours, okay?”

Following the man’s gaze, he looked down at his own thigh.

Jing Yueming was very embarrassed, “Fine, you sleep here yourself, I’ll go to the sofa.”

A weak finger hooked the hem of Jing Yueming’s shirt, “I have a health certificate.” The man hugged Jing Yueming from behind, his chin resting on the college student’s shoulder, his warm, moist breath on Jing Yueming’s neck, “Neighbor? Little brother?”

Jing Yueming took a deep breath and his fingers touched the Safety set/Condoms that had fallen onto the bed, “You’re the one who seduced me.”

He turned around and took the initiative, pinning this ungrateful male prostitute onto the bed.

When the man closed his eyes, he looked the most like his ex-girlfriend, Ai La.

    Jing Yueming murmured.

He was awakened by the ringing of his cell phone and casually pressed the answer button, “Hello.” He habitually turned on the speakerphone.

The full moon outside the window hadn’t yet set, and the deep blue sky enveloped the silent city.

From the speaker came, “CEO Qiu, have you arrived home yet?” The unfamiliar voice on the other end, and the inexplicable words, startled Jing Yueming awake.

“Wrong number?” Jing Yueming wondered, glancing at the man sleeping soundly on the bed.

The other end was silent for a moment, probably verifying whether it was the wrong number, “Are you?”

Jing Yueming broke out in a cold sweat. This wasn’t his phone.

The two of them had the same phone model.

“Sorry, sorry, I’ll wake him up for you,” Jing Yueming shook the sleeping man awake.

Those light-colored eyes opened, full of displeasure.

Jing Yueming quickly threw the phone to him.

The man looked at the caller ID, “Little Liu? What’s wrong?”

“President Su said you were drunk and was afraid you might be in danger, so he asked me to call and confirm that you’re safe. Are you? Where are you?”

The man chuckled, “I’m fine, at my neighbor’s place, no need to worry.”

    “It’s good that you’re safe.”

“Yeah, hang up then.” After hanging up the phone, they were both much more awake.

The man looked at the young man beside him with a clear, calm gaze.

Jing Yueming felt uncomfortable under the gaze, “Sorry, I’m really sorry, I’ll give you money.” Although he looked expensive, his former rich girlfriend had at least left Jing Yueming a lot of money, enough to pay him, probably.

These words amused the man, “Clean?” He was asking about Jing Yueming.

Jing Yueming didn’t realize what he meant at first, “Huh? Clean.” Then he thought of the health certificate, “Clean. I even brought Safety set/Condoms.”

The man picked up his wallet from the ground with his right hand, took out a card from it, and handed it to Jing Yueming.

Qiu Ci, clobalwealth (Global Wealth), Chief Executive Officer…

Jing Yueming’s eyes widened, “Don’t tell me, you’re a boss!” Crap, he couldn’t afford to sleep with him!

Qiu Ci looked at the college student in front of him who looked like a little monkey, “You can understand it that way. Of course, I won’t make things difficult for you.”

Qiu Ci got up, picked up the crumpled clothes on the ground, and barely managed to put them on. His body was still very sore, “As for monetary compensation, forget it, after all, we were both willing.”

It took Jing Yueming a long time to digest all this information. There were traces.

Qiu Ci’s clothes were obviously not cheap. This apartment was found by Ai La back then, and Ai La was also the CEO of a listed company.

Those who lived here, apart from those being kept, were those keeping others.

Qiu Ci picked up the quilt with his left hand, shook it, and made sure nothing else had fallen out.

Before this handsome and disheveled man left, Jing Yueming plucked up his courage and called out to him, “Qiu Ci, you… don’t have a partner, do you?”

The boss Qiu was intrigued by this undisguised hint, crossed his arms in front of his chest, and leaned against the doorframe, “You want to be with me?”

    Jing Yueming blushed shamelessly, “Yes.”

“Because of money?” Qiu Ci had understood long ago that money could make people do many things, “The rent here isn’t cheap.” Not something a college student could afford.

Jing Yueming got up and approached Qiu Ci again. This guy was half a head shorter than him, but his proportions were good, and you couldn’t tell he was only 1.78 meters tall, “It could be for money.” It could also be because he missed this face too much.

“Someone like you, young people, is indeed very attractive. I can maintain this kind of relationship with you. In the meantime, you must be single, how about it?” A very cost-effective deal, sleeping with Qiu Ci and getting money in return, truly getting both the benefit and the advantage.

Jing Yueming didn’t really like this kind of relationship and wanted to push his luck further, “I also have a bottom line, you have to be single too, then I’ll think we’re dating.”
