BCGWR Chapter 10 Part 2
by BLReads“C-customer, just now… an earthquake… right? It was an earthquake… right?”
Han Ji-su couldn’t answer his question, a silent plea for it to be an earthquake. Just as he was about to say that the rumbling wasn’t normal, the ground began to shake even harder and more persistently.
“Aaaah!”
“Duck! Duck! Over here! Get down here!”
“Aaaargh! It’s an earthquake!”
“Cover your heads! Get down here!”
The decorative lights hanging throughout the market clanged and swayed, and screams erupted from everywhere.
The intense shaking, strong enough to make it difficult to stand properly for about 10 seconds, suddenly stopped.
The screaming and confused people also fell silent.
“……”
“……”
“……Peep…?”
Han Ji-su and several other Awakened individuals reflexively checked their smartwatches. There were no alerts yet, but a sense of unease settled in. They had an unusually bad feeling.
Han Ji-su put down all the items he had chosen, pulled out a long item from his Inventory, and said,
“Sir, I’ll come back to buy this later. And… it would be best if you evacuated to an area far from the sea and Taejongdae, Busan.”
“…Isn’t it just an earthquake?”
Just as Han Ji-su was about to reiterate that he wasn’t sure, but it would be best to evacuate just in case,
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang————————
A Level 1 alert siren began to blare from all national disaster notification devices installed in Busan.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang———————-
Hearing the siren echo across Busan, Han Ji-su froze like a statue.
Goosebumps spread all over his body, and his heart seemed to plummet.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang———————–
Following the Level 1 alert siren, a piercing Piiiiiiiik—–!! disaster notification blared. Han Ji-su, who had been momentarily frozen, quickly snapped to attention and urgently checked his smartwatch.
[Emergency Disaster Alert]
Expected overflow from Taejongdae, Busan Dungeon.
Immediate evacuation to areas as far as possible from Taejongdae and the coast is required.
“……!!!”
What flashed through Han Ji-su’s mind after checking the alert was Kang Jae-yoon’s face, who had said he’d be back soon that morning, bidding farewell with a promise to meet again.
The moment he thought of him, Han Ji-su’s mind went blank, and he didn’t even realize he had started running frantically.
The market quickly became a pandemonium. Most people were running blindly, trying to get out of the market without knowing where to go, while others stood on stalls, nervously looking around and calling out someone’s name.
Entangled in the wave of people, Han Ji-su ran frantically, eventually escaping through an unknown exit. He caught his breath and pulled out his Sky-blue Umbrella from his Inventory.
Toto, realizing the purpose of that umbrella, cried “Peep!!! Peep!!!”, but Han Ji-su immediately opened the umbrella, inverted it, and sat inside.
Then, the inverted umbrella, carrying Han Ji-su, lifted off the ground and floated upwards. It was chaotic below, but he had no time to pay attention as he headed straight for Taejongdae, Busan.
Not knowing the geography of Busan, Han Ji-su checked the navigation on his smartwatch and adjusted his direction. All the while he was flying, he wasn’t even aware of what he was doing.
All he could think about now was that he had to go to the Dungeon.
