BCGWR Chapter 12 Part 2
by BLReadsHan Ji-su, staggering and trying to force himself up, felt an extreme dizziness accompanied by a high-pitched ringing in his ears, and collapsed back onto the floor. Lying sprawled on the cold floor, sideways, he stared blankly at the Dungeon Gate that was beginning to shrink, feeling only confusion and a sense of unreality.
He didn’t know what this phenomenon was, and he was simply terrified of what might spill out of that Dungeon Gate.
No, more than that, the fact that Kang Jae-yoon was still inside struck him with a greater sense of horror.
Kang Jae-yoon was alone in that place where an unknown, dreadful sound was leaking out.
‘I have to go…’
Han Ji-su, who had tried to get up somehow and failed again, began to crawl towards the Fissure. Whatever happened, it didn’t matter. Even if he were to die, whether it was here or in there, he was filled with the sole thought that he absolutely had to get to Kang Jae-yoon’s side.
“Han Ji-su Guide!!!”
Jin Bo-ra’s voice came from behind, but Han Ji-su kept crawling. Han Ji-su himself didn’t know why he felt so frantically anxious, restless, and afraid.
He didn’t know why he felt such a desperate urge to go in there, but he knew he had to go in right now. If he didn’t, he felt something terrible would happen.
If he didn’t, he would never again…
“Squeak!”
Without him knowing when it had sprung from his pocket, Toto scurried towards Han Ji-su’s face. Han Ji-su, regaining his senses at the sight of his companion monster, pointed behind him with his arm, as if telling Toto to look around, and shouted.
“Toto! Shield! Use your shield skill! Stay here and protect the people! Daddy will bring Kang Jae-yoon out soon!”
“Squeak! Squeak!”
But for some reason, Toto didn’t obey his master’s command; instead, he ran back and began to bite and hold onto Han Ji-su’s pant leg. Han Ji-su flailed his legs, struggling three or four times in place against the S-rank hamster’s strong restraint.
“Toto?! What are you doing! Stop it! Let go of this and deploy your shield first! Protect the people here!”
“Squeeeak! Squeeeak!”
“Han Ji-su Guide! It’s dangerous!”
At Jin Bo-ra’s scream-like cry, Han Ji-su’s gaze shifted from Toto, who was clinging to his leg, to the Dungeon Gate. The Fissure in the air began to swell, taking on a spherical form and emanating black smoke, as if it were about to explode. Anyone could see that the signs were not good.
Sensing the unusual phenomenon, Espers around them hugged Healers and Guides, hunching their bodies. Jin Bo-ra also rushed over, threw herself on top of Han Ji-su, and hugged his body with all her might.
“L-let go of me! Wait… just a moment…!”
He struggled with all his might to break free from her embrace, but he couldn’t move an inch. In that short time, the Dungeon Gate, which had become a colossal nucleus, grew larger and larger, finally beginning to crackle and spark.
Defensive Espers each deployed their shields, but everyone present instinctively knew that it was not an Aura that could be blocked by A-rank abilities.
The spherical nucleus, filled with dark smoke, grew steadily in size, and the sparks intensified proportionally to the nucleus. He hadn’t even touched the fierce sparks, but his whole body felt like it was being torn apart.
“Ugh…!”
As Jin Bo-ra let out a painful groan and further hunched her body, binding Han Ji-su, Toto, who had fallen from his pant leg, scurried forward and stood on two feet.
