BCGWR Chapter 15 Part 2
by BLReadsEven when Han Ji-su used a transformation item to go to Kang Jae-yoon’s funeral in the form of a woman, Toto remained quietly in Han Ji-su’s pocket, not crying or flying around boisterously as usual.
Even when visiting the memorial space in front of the city hall that long-time fans had opened, Toto never left Han Ji-su’s shoulder, except for the moment he flew up with a single flower in his mouth and placed it there.
Han Ji-su gazed at his companion monster with affectionate eyes and spoke in a low voice.
“Sis. Let’s write up a transfer contract for Toto too, just in case.”
“…”
“I’m holding up now, but you never know. What if something happens to my brain then…”
“Hey.”
“…”
Kim Hyun-ah, who cut off Han Ji-su’s next words, simply stared at him instead of immediately saying something.
His face looked utterly peaceful thanks to the mental-type Esper who had blocked his grief, but the light in his eyes was dead. Yet, it wasn’t the vacant stare of a dead fish, making his condition appear strange.
It was clear that he would struggle again once the temporary grief-suppressing brainwashing wore off, so Kim Hyun-ah roughly ran a hand through her hair and said,
“Hah… fine. If it makes you feel better, I don’t mind, but I’ll set the detailed conditions.”
“Okay. Please do. Thank you.”
“And. When you’re discharged, stay at the Guild Dormitory until you can control your Guiding. Got it?”
“I will.”
The two continued to sort out a few more matters.
In conclusion, Han Ji-su decided to stay in the Guild Dormitory for the time being and refrain from external activities.
Since his Radiating Guiding was not under control, he decided to take the Guiding-blocking medicine developed by Professor Choi Seong-hun before sleeping.
And when Han Ji-su said he would ask Professor Choi Seong-hun to remove the brainwashing before his discharge, Kim Hyun-ah paused for a moment but then nodded.
Since properly regaining his senses here, Han Ji-su couldn’t think about Kang Jae-yoon. No, even if he tried, the thought was quickly pushed out of his brain’s priorities.
Whenever he thought of the three-character name ‘Kang Jae-yoon,’ and sadness began to well up, another thought would reflexively surface, bringing peace to his mind. It was as if something was blocking him whenever he tried to recall or think of him.
It was incredibly frustrating. He wanted to miss Kang Jae-yoon freely, and it didn’t matter if he cried, he just wanted to remember him now, but since he couldn’t do it properly, it was exceptionally stifling.
That’s why he wanted this brainwashing on him removed quickly. He didn’t want to remain calm with such a clear mind just yet.
Right now, he just wanted to think about Kang Jae-yoon all day long.
And…
…and… again…
“….Haa….”
The moment he willed himself to think of Kang Jae-yoon, his thoughts arbitrarily shifted direction, pushing Kang Jae-yoon away. Han Ji-su bit his lips and squeezed his eyes shut in an inexpressible frustration.
To think that it was so hard to even think what he wanted, he now fully understood why people feared and avoided brainwashing skills the most.
And at the same time as fearing it, he also began to understand a little why they desired brainwashing skills so much.
