Of course, these macadamias were naturally destined for Toto’s snack pouch. Unaware of his caretaker’s plan, Toto perked up his ears, let out a vigorous “Squeak-!”, then climbed back onto his shoulder and began looking out the window.

Just thirty seconds ago, he had almost been overcome by negative feelings, but Ji-su, whose mood had significantly improved, paused as he turned his head towards Kang Jae-yoon.

Unlike his expectation that Kang Jae-yoon would be smiling gently as always, Kang Jae-yoon’s expression, as he looked at him, was devoid of any smile. He even stared intently at his own jacket pocket with a feigned serious face.

“……Why. What. What is it?”

“Hmm~ No. Nothing.”

“What do you mean ‘nothing’? Tell me quickly. What is it?”

They had known each other for over ten years. Ji-su knew well that Jae-yoon’s expression wasn’t genuinely serious, but rather one right before he was about to tease someone. So, following an old habit, he pinched Jae-yoon’s side and said,

“What is it? What is it?”

“Haha, no. It’s just. I didn’t know our Ji-su liked macadamias enough to save them.”

“No! That’s obviously… cough…”

Ji-su, who choked up at the clearly teasing response, parted his lips but quickly closed them. Feeling Toto perking up his ears on his shoulder, pretending not to listen, he couldn’t say anything more, and simply stared at Jae-yoon with wide, alert eyes.

“Haha. Why?”

“……”

Ji-su, unable to explain that it wasn’t for him to eat with Toto listening, retaliated against his teasing leader with a pinch to the side, as he always did. Though as an S-rank now, it probably wouldn’t even hurt.

“What you see on screen is a new Dungeon Gate that has appeared at the former Taejongdae, Busan observatory site. Its Rank is Unmeasurable, and the area around the gate has been fully evacuated. According to the Unmeasurable Gate Management Act, an assault team consisting of at least three organizations has been confirmed for this dungeon.”

The announcer’s explanation was accompanied by a list of the assault team on the TV screen.

Click- Ji-su’s gaze turned towards the bathroom at the sound of the door opening. Steam billowed out through the slightly open door, indicating how hot his shower must have been. Kang Jae-yoon emerged from the swirling steam, his hotel gown loosely tied, revealing his chest and abs as he approached.

“Why are you watching boring news?”

“……Because it’s been a while since an Unmeasurable Rank appeared.”

“Haha. Are you worried?”

“I guess so…”

Kang Jae-yoon, hearing the worried reply, sat on the bed, casually took the remote, turned off the TV, then lay on his side, resting his head.

Ji-su narrowed his eyes, seeing him deliberately lie on his bed despite it being a two-bedroom suite, but he didn’t explicitly refuse him. After all, Jae-yoon had arranged this suite too.

However, Toto seemed to have a different idea, abandoning the shrimp he had been eating, he jumped onto the bed and stood between the two men. Jae-yoon chuckled at his majestic posture and extended a finger to Toto.

“Toto. Can I sleep with you today too?”
