E-Sports Boss Wants To Post Messages With New Players Every Day Chapter 6
byChapter 6
When Xu Ziyan returned to the dorm, his roommates happened to be out. Only after returning to his small sanctuary did he finally allow the tightly wound string in his mind to slacken. He forced himself to take a shower, lay down on the bed, and fell asleep the moment his head hit the pillow.
While he slept, Xie Wei was busy beyond measure.
Inside the A-Team training room, the players had already begun their individual training. Coach Yu Guangzhou was standing in the hallway, analyzing the Summer Split version with the Data Analyst.
Xie Wei walked up to him. “Coach.”
Yu Guangzhou turned his head. “Oh, you’re here?” He knew about the incident at Huating yesterday, and since Jiang Yuxin had already requested leave for Xie Wei, he didn’t say anything about Xie Wei’s late arrival.
Xie Wei said, “What is the team planning to do about the Medic from the Second Team?”
Yu Guangzhou smiled. “He’s definitely going to be advised to leave. But whether it’s handled officially or privately depends on you. What is it? I doubt you’re asking just out of curiosity.”
Xie Wei didn’t bother beating around the bush and said directly, “I have a recommendation for that vacant Medic slot.”
Xu Ziyan woke up in a daze, grabbing his phone to check the time: 5:30 PM.
Looking further down, there was an unread message.
Xie Wei: The team transfer has been processed. I’ve also informed the Second Team Coach. Report tomorrow.
Xie Wei: If you feel unwell, message me.
Xu Ziyan’s head was still foggy from sleep. He looked at the man on his screen saver, bathed in golden confetti, then looked at the message he received, feeling an unreal sense of a dream coming true.
This was the first time he had received a message from Xie Wei. He read the few sentences several times before cherishingly taking a screenshot and saving it in a newly created album.
He suddenly remembered that his peripherals were still in the Youth Training Camp training room. Since he was reporting to the Second Team tomorrow and didn’t want to delay, he climbed out of bed, changed his clothes, and hurried to the Youth Training Camp.
Since the three-month trial period was nearing its end, most Youth Training Camp Members who were going to join a team had done so, and those who were leaving had already departed. Although it was training time, only a few people remained in the training room. The sound of keyboards was sparse, making the room feel deserted.
On a nearby armchair, the sleazy coach who had disgusted Xu Ziyan for several days was sitting with his legs crossed, humming a tune and playing on his phone, occasionally flashing a greasy smile. He didn’t even bother to glance at the others’ training.
A flash of disgust crossed Xu Ziyan’s mind. If it weren’t for this fat pig interfering, he would have left the Youth Training Camp long ago. This wasn’t arrogance; he had soloed against the players who had advanced to the Third and Second Teams before him and won every time, despite being a Medic, the role with the worst solo capability.
Fortunately, things had taken a turn, and he wasn’t leaving TWG.
Xu Ziyan exhaled, opened the door, and walked in.
The noise he made wasn’t loud, but it was enough to catch the attention of Wang Jingyu, who was looking at his phone.
He lifted his eyes from the screen, which displayed a scantily clad Omega, and fixed them on Xu Ziyan walking in. He then narrowed his eyes and let out a contemptuous snort through his nose.
Previously, relying on his position as a Coach and his connections, Wang Jingyu had taken liberties with many Omegas, some of whom even offered themselves in exchange for his favor. It was no exaggeration to say he was the local tyrant of the Youth Training Camp.
When Xu Ziyan first joined the camp, Wang Jingyu had set his sights on him.
But he hadn’t expected Xu Ziyan to refuse his advances. He had only touched him a few times, yet Xu Ziyan dared to hit him?
Weren’t Omegas born to be touched by others?
As revenge, Wang Jingyu had blocked all of Xu Ziyan’s team applications over the past three months, then watched his frustrated face with smug satisfaction: No matter how capable you are, so what? You still have to bow your head to me. This is the consequence of resistance! You should have just obeyed from the start.
Xu Ziyan naturally noticed the disgusting gaze glued to him. He quickly frowned but, remembering he would be leaving soon, he couldn’t be bothered to pay attention. He walked straight to his station and began tidying up his data cables and packing his keyboard.
The teammate sitting next to him, the one who had spoken to him last night, was surprised to see Xu Ziyan packing his peripherals. “Ice, you’re not leaving, are you?”
Xu Ziyan replied, “I am leaving.”
The teammate assumed he was packing up to go home and said regretfully, “Ah, don’t overthink it. I heard RG is starting a new round of youth training soon, and they’re short on Medics. It might be a good opportunity there.”
Xu Ziyan paused, about to explain, when a cold, mocking laugh suddenly came from behind him. “What’s wrong? Going home?”
He knitted his brows, turned around, and sure enough, met Wang Jingyu’s repulsive face.
Xu Ziyan finished packing his keyboard and replied coldly, “That shouldn’t concern you.”
Wang Jingyu chuckled happily. “Why wouldn’t it concern me? If you had endured a little back then, hmm… I conservatively estimate you’d be a Main Roster Player on the Third Team by now.”
“…”
Xu Ziyan didn’t offer another word, though he felt a little strange: Hadn’t Xie Wei informed Wang Jingyu about the team transfer?
He turned to leave, but Wang Jingyu was persistent, grabbing Xu Ziyan’s wrist. “Hey, don’t be in such a hurry to leave. Let the coach show you a clear path. Tonight, come to my room, and I’ll give you another chance…”
He trailed off, speaking the last part softer, practically leaning into Xu Ziyan’s ear.
Goosebumps erupted on Xu Ziyan’s skin. He glared at Wang Jingyu in disgust, his peripheral vision scanning the others in the training room: those wearing headphones wore headphones, those looking at screens looked at screens, all pretending not to hear or see anything.
Their reaction had been exactly the same when he was previously harassed.
A coldness swept through his heart. Xu Ziyan suppressed his anger, repeatedly telling himself: Don’t hit him, don’t hit him. You’re joining the team tomorrow, absolutely don’t hit him…
Forcing down his revulsion, he was about to speak when a cold question suddenly came from the entrance of the Youth Training Camp.
“Coach Wang, what are you doing?”
