E-Sports Boss Wants To Post Messages With New Players Every Day Chapter 7
byChapter 7
The moment he heard the voice, Xu Ziyan’s eyes lit up. He looked up toward the doorway and, sure enough, saw Xie Wei in his team uniform.
At this moment, Xie Wei seemed more distant than when Xu Ziyan had seen him in the bedroom that morning. Coupled with his tightly pursed lips and obvious displeasure, he felt even more unapproachable.
Xu Ziyan opened his mouth, then recalled Xie Wei’s previous warning. After a moment of hesitation, he decided not to greet him.
Wang Jingyu was already terrified. He quickly shook off Xu Ziyan’s hand and chuckled awkwardly, “Captain Xie! Why are you here? Th-this is just a misunderstanding. This Omega is about to leave the camp and go home. He wanted to beg me for another tryout opportunity, that’s why… Haha, don’t worry, Captain Xie! I have principles! I wouldn’t be such a fool!”
The real “fool,” Xie Wei, pulled at the corner of his lips in a half-smile.
That morning, he had been running around handling the transfer procedures for Xu Ziyan, then greeting the Coach of the Second Team, dealing with contract drafting, and Legal Affairs. He was dizzy from all the work. Right after finishing a training match, he rushed to the Youth Training Camp, enduring the teasing glances of the Head Coach and Manager, only to coincidentally run into this scene.
Seeing an Omega with his Temporary Marking being harassed by another Alpha would infuriate anyone.
Xie Wei coldly glanced at Wang Jingyu, who was still trying to lie while forcing a smile. He quickly stepped forward, grabbed Xu Ziyan, who was still standing there dumbfounded, and frowned as he looked him over from head to toe. Only after confirming that Xu Ziyan was unharmed did he finally relax.
He asked in a low, dissatisfied voice, “Didn’t I tell you to rest properly?”
Xu Ziyan lowered his head, completely shedding his earlier prickly demeanor, and replied softly and obediently, “I… I forgot my peripherals here and didn’t take them back.”
They spoke in hushed tones, audible only to each other.
Wang Jingyu watched their interaction, and a sudden, ominous thought arose in his mind. His face turned ugly. He stammered, “C-Captain Xie, do you two know each other?”
“Coach Wang, didn’t you receive the team notification?”
Xie Wei turned around, his eyes icy, yet a smile played on his lips. “The Second Team’s Medic retired for personal reasons. The team wanted to select someone from here to promote. I came today specifically to announce this.”
“Oh, right, what were you just saying?” His smile deepened. “You said this player, who is already confirmed to be promoted to the Second Team, was ‘begging’ you for a tryout opportunity?”
Wang Jingyu’s face turned pale, and a layer of cold sweat broke out on his back.
He did have connections higher up, but that person was nothing compared to Xie Wei. One must know that Xie family held ninety percent of TWG’s shares, and Xie Wei was the undisputed next family head. It was no exaggeration to say Xie Wei was the true big boss of TWG.
“Just kidding…” Wang Jingyu forced out a smile uglier than a cry. “I was just joking…”
Xie Wei smiled, ignoring him. He turned to Xu Ziyan, who was thoroughly enjoying the show, and asked, “Did you pack all your things?”
Seeing Wang Jingyu humiliated made Xu Ziyan feel an unprecedented sense of satisfaction. A cheerful smile involuntarily appeared on his face. “I’ve packed them!”
Xie Wei nodded and led him away. As they passed Wang Jingyu, he patted his shoulder and said in a calm tone, “You should also start packing your things. You have plenty of matters waiting for you later.”
Wang Jingyu’s lips trembled. He stared blankly at their retreating figures, racking his brain but failing to understand how Xu Ziyan had managed to latch onto Xie Wei’s big ship.
The Youth Training Camp Member who had been sitting next to Xu Ziyan was filled with envy, regretting that he hadn’t befriended Xu Ziyan earlier, knowing he had such a chance for good fortune. Alas, it was too late to say anything now.
—
In the corridor, Xu Ziyan said apologetically, “Captain, I caused you trouble again.”
He looked around, and seeing no one, he cautiously asked, “Didn’t you say before that we shouldn’t let others know we know each other? Just now, in the Youth Training Camp…”
“They don’t matter. They’ll all go home soon anyway, and they might never see each other again in this lifetime.” Xie Wei glanced at him. “That person, Wang Jingyu, has he harassed you before?”
Xu Ziyan hesitated, then nodded, answering truthfully, “I reported him before, but it was useless.”
Xie Wei hated such dishonest people the most. Hearing that he was also a connected individual with backing only fueled his anger. “I know. I’ll handle this matter, you don’t need to worry about it. You’re still staying in the Youth Training Camp dorm, right?”
“Yes.” Now that he was officially on the team, the annoying jerk had been dealt with, and the person he liked was right in front of him. Xu Ziyan’s mood value was practically off the charts. “Should I hurry up and pack my luggage to move to the Second Team dorm?”
“No need to rush,” Xie Wei said. “You can report to the Second Team first, and then find a day off to deal with these things. Just make sure you move out before the next batch of Youth Training Members arrives.”
He paused, recalling the various scatterbrained and unreliable impressions Xu Ziyan had given him in just one day. Xie Wei was worried and wanted to give him more instructions.
But when he turned his head and met the Omega’s sparkling eyes, Xie Wei inwardly cursed himself for being too nosy, worrying about an Omega who was just using him to advance. So, he swallowed the rest of his words and said coldly and curtly, “Let’s go.”
