IRLPLBIO Chapter 35 Part 2
by BLReads“Th-that, you shouldn’t say things like that…! I told you they’re A-class…”
The class president, bringing a hand to his lips and shushing, “Shhh! Shhh!” as if someone might overhear, was on the verge of tears.
There were often people who didn’t conform to the hierarchy the school created. But if you kept failing to adapt, eventually you’d be cast out. It was just a matter of sooner or later.
However, the Jae-gu reflected in the class president’s eyes didn’t seem like he would adapt, nor would he be cast out. To the class president, whose goal was to quietly build connections, graduate, and find a good job, Jae-gu was like a very difficult homework assignment. He had no idea how much louder F-class would become.
The overwhelmed class president clutched his head and advised Jae-gu.
“You just have to listen to whatever the A-class kids say… Even if you don’t like it now, in the long run, it’s better…”
As if waiting for the class president to finish speaking, the front door of the classroom opened. Two identical faces peered out from beyond the pristine white door.
“H-huh,” the class president gasped. Choi Eun-ho had already stiffened with fear, and the other students also held their breath, fixing their gazes on their desks. It seemed the twins from A-class hadn’t caused trouble just once or twice.
A-class, huh. Were they relatives of economic figures from the top 100 companies, or associates of high-ranking officials? Or was the criteria looser than that?
Jae-gu, trying to recall the criteria he couldn’t quite remember, suddenly let out a deflated sound.
“What? It was just those guys?”
“Those guys?”
Hearing Jae-gu’s words, the twins simultaneously looked his way. The class president, unable to even properly cry out, covered his mouth and quickly put distance between them.
“Did you say that to us?”
“You just said ‘those guys,’ didn’t you?”
The twin punks spoke almost simultaneously, without any consideration for the listener’s ears. Seeing them instantly nitpick and rush in like that, Jae-gu figured they must have lived quite a smooth life.
“Yeah, you reckless twins.”
Hiiiek, someone was so startled they nearly choked on a scream.
“Do you even know who we are!”
“How dare a mere F-class punk!”
Different words spilled from their identical faces, mixing into a jumble. Jae-gu, not even intending to understand, casually picked his ear, then gave a faint smile after the chirping punks’ shouts died down.
“Who? You’re the reckless lunatics who suck up inside to pick up scraps, then swagger outside beating people up. You’re a trash family that got kicked out of Dae-yeong but still pretend to be part of Dae-yeong, sticking your butts out.”
“Th-those words…!”
The startled class president tried to cover Jae-gu’s mouth. Jae-gu deftly dodged his hand by turning his head. Compared to what those punks did, he hadn’t even said anything particularly harsh.
Even if they were from a collateral branch, the twins were from a chaebol family. They had been raised too delicately and had no immunity to verbal abuse directed at them.
The punks, who hadn’t even registered what had been said for a while, belatedly flushed. Their faces, so red they almost looked purplish-black, trembled as their eyes became bloodshot.
“How dare you, how dare you…!”
‘Give them a powerful stare! Completely dominate them!’
Of all times, Joo Hae-jun’s advice came to mind. Jae-gu had thought his words were mostly useless until now, but it seemed they were occasionally helpful. Very occasionally.
Jae-gu tilted his head in front of them. He dropped the standard Korean he was used to, switched to dialect, and pulled up one corner of his mouth.
“Whoa, got a problem? If you do, come at me, you fuckers.”
Jae-gu raised his middle finger at the twins, then clicked his tongue and beckoned with his finger, like calling a dog.
