    Chapter Index

    “…Shit.”

It was supposed to be fine since he had spit it out, but it seemed even a slight contact with the mucous membrane in his mouth was a problem. His body, which had never touched drugs even in his previous life, reacted wildly. If just half a mouthful produced such an effect, what state would he be in if he had drunk more than a mouthful?

The strength drained from his fingers. Jae-gu, who had been clenching and unclenching his fist, bent his waist. He braced himself, pressing down on his knees, which had begun to tremble.

To Jae-gu, who seemed to be surrendering, the excited Alpha bastards chattered joyfully.

“Yeah, isn’t it better to be docile? If you’re not arrogant, it won’t hurt…”

It was then. Jae-gu let out a deep sigh.

    “Shit, I’m screwed.”

“Haha! See, I told you earlier, you’d regret it!”

“How am I going to get the settlement money?”

The words that came out of Jae-gu’s mouth were very different from their expectations. His voice was tinged with lament, as if he was facing a truly difficult situation.

“I was going to just knead you gently, but because of you guys, I’ve lost control of my strength. And anyway, you Seoul young masters will probably have soft bones. I don’t know if they’ll even break now.”

    “What, what did you say…?”

“Right, what did you say about a video? It’s going to turn into a video of you getting beaten, but anyway, I hope it sells well, ’cause you’ll need it for your hospital bills.”

And the next moment, a cheerful ‘Thwack!’ echoed.

The closest guy didn’t even realize what had happened until the moment he was thrown backward. His vision instantly flipped, and he thought he saw the gym’s ceiling, then pain shot up his entire head, starting from his jaw.

    “Cough! Choke…!”

His breath caught in his throat from the pain. Every time he gasped and coughed intermittently, fragments of broken teeth mixed with blood and saliva dribbled out.

The guy, too much in pain to even scream, squirmed and crawled on the floor. His face, which had quickly swollen as if his jawbone was broken, was distorted beyond recognition. His brain was shaken, leaving him unable to do anything but tremble.

    “Th-this, what, what’s…”

This was a situation entirely unexpected by those who thought they were just going to have some fun with an Omega. The crotch of the guy who had unzipped his pants before even thinking of pheromones shriveled up.

Suddenly, he felt a chilling sensation, as if ice water had been poured over his head. The cold feeling running down his spine was terror. These young masters, who had only seen people kneel when told to and crawl when ordered, were experiencing overwhelming violence that forced them to kneel and crawl for the first time.

    “Ugh, ughhhh!”

The “first strike wins” rule, where one attacks first to avoid being attacked, was broken. The punching skills of those who thought pheromones and drugs would be enough were terrible. Even with seven of them attacking, they couldn’t defeat a single, half-dazed Jae-gu.

Jae-gu used his elbows and knees instead of his weakening fists. He twisted one guy’s arm in the opposite direction of the joint, then immediately moved in to deliver an elbow strike to another’s solar plexus, then stomped on another’s foot to stop their movement, and quickly followed up with a knee to the groin. The sequence of actions was instantaneous.

The remaining guys were even simpler. Trembling with fear, they couldn’t even properly extend their limbs. Jae-gu moved agilely among them, displaying skills honed over decades.

Jae-gu had experience fighting his way out even when groups of thugs from the F and D classes of each grade rushed him. These A-class guys, who were only big in stature but didn’t know how to use their strength properly, were pushovers. His mood was even worse because of the pheromones and their dirty tricks, so he held nothing back.

    “S-save…!”

“Ah, shit, I told you I couldn’t control my strength. These brats are getting cocky and not listening to what I say.”

    Thwack! Smack!

“If you’re going to gang up on me, at least bring a bat. You brats with un-dried blood on your heads, shit, drugs? DRUGS?”

    CRUNCH! RIP! RIP!

“You’re rotten from the root, you bastard. It would be faster to die and be reborn than to try and fix your twisted mind.”

    CRACK! THWACK!

“Right? Or not? Oh, what, not answering?”

This was a one-sided act of violence. Kicked, twisted, burst open, broken, and torn, the guys could only scream.

Jae-gu, hazy and drugged, didn’t immediately realize that no one was in a state to answer. It was the Alpha guys’ own doing.

It didn’t take long for the pampered young masters, immune to violence, to be beaten into bloody messes and scattered. Jae-gu, standing alone amidst the eight knocked-out figures, breathed heavily, his shoulders rising and falling.

Had the drug’s effects spread further in that short time? A hot sensation rose from his fingertips and toes. Feeling his strength gradually draining, he thought that if he had drunk a little more water or if the treatment had been delayed even slightly, it would have been dangerous.

However, even short thoughts quickly faded from his hazy mind. He was sweating and his muscles ached, but not in the way the guys had expected. The sensation of his body throbbing lingered for a moment, then he just wanted to lean on something as his body turned limp.

    “Hah, hah…”

Exhausted, Jae-gu used his foot to flip over one of the guys. He kicked the groaning, dying man a few times to silence him, then unceremoniously sat down on his back.

His body slumped. His vision was dizzy from fatigue and the drug’s effects. He propped his elbows on his knees, held his forehead, and sighed.

He instinctively fumbled in his pocket, only realizing a little later that there were no cigarettes. Because his mind was hazy, he remembered even later that he had quit smoking.

Gulp, Jae-gu swallowed dry saliva and licked his lips with his tongue.

It was a shame he couldn’t enjoy a celebratory cigarette, but he had decided to live properly this time, so he would endure.

Just as he was steeling his resolve, he heard the gym’s back door open again.

“These brats, did they prepare for a second round? Their preparedness is thorough.”

Thinking that, he slowly turned his head. The colors in front of him seemed to blur strangely, and he couldn’t distinguish whether his strength control was off or if he was simply losing strength, but he figured he could beat up a few more.

Forcing himself up, he firmly gripped his trembling arm with his other hand.

“Seniors, we’ve come to join for round…”

The guy who was speaking slowly shut his mouth. It was because the smell of blood was clearer than the pheromones.
