“I know… I know. I’ll apologize to that Omega, and to that Omega’s master. I’ve already given a stern warning to my subordinates, so you should let it go…”

It sounded as if his eyeballs were rolling.

Han Yun-cheol barely swallowed a sigh that had risen to his throat. It was clear that the man saw him as an easy target, someone he wouldn’t dare to confront like this if it were his father. His obvious intention to cling to Han Yun-cheol, having been kicked out by his father, was both amusing and pathetic.

Even so, he was a pathetic human who couldn’t assert himself without clinging to someone. He should be more worried about other matters than provoking Han Yun-cheol, yet he was acting foolishly, unable to grasp his priorities.

“It seems you have nothing to discuss with me.”

“That’s not it. What I mean is!”

    “Five minutes are up.”

    “Wait, nephew, nephew!”

Han Yun-cheol, who had stood up again, picked up the internal phone. He seemed to hear a grinding sound, but he ignored it.

“The guest is leaving. Please see him out.”

    ―Yes.

“And bring me the investigation materials I mentioned earlier; I’ll review them again.”

―Yes. I will bring up the new drug development report, Woo-shin Pharmaceuticals’ performance, and Leo Jeong’s activities together.

Hearing the secretary’s voice briefly come through the phone, the man’s eyes gleamed.

This was a definite opportunity. It was clear that Han Yun-cheol was considering a new investment or attempting to expand his business.

Han Yun-cheol glanced at the man. It seemed as if he was checking if the man had overheard the conversation, or perhaps implying that since it felt wrong to send him away empty-handed, he should take a few bucks on his own.

Either way, it didn’t matter. The man trusted Han Yun-cheol’s business acumen. At the very least, if he stood by his side, he could get some crumbs. He decided to secretly jump on Han Yun-cheol’s plan.

New drugs, Woo-shin Pharmaceuticals, Leo Jeong.

The man believed he had found an opportunity for one last big score before being completely expelled from Dae-yeong Group. It was a moment when revenge, unexpected by both Jae-gu and Kwang-cheol, would be achieved as a bonus.

At school, Jae-gu’s name was more famous than his face. This was because he hadn’t shown up for a few days after causing a huge ruckus on his first day.

Jae-gu returned to school only after the crowd that had flocked to see Yang Jae-gu of Class F had mostly dispersed.

“…If I keep showing up like this, I’m going to miss too many attendance days.”

Jae-gu dropped his bag with a thud and began to ponder seriously.

In the past, Han Seong-cheol would take care of things and sometimes strange guys would even pretend to be him and attend in his place, but he couldn’t ask Kwang-cheol for such things. Kwang-cheol would always be a straightforward, upright, clean, and pure being.

‘No, why would a guy like that ki… anyway, why did he do that to me?’

Jae-gu muttered words he couldn’t say to others, screaming internally. He had tried to escape reality, wondering if it was all a dream, but when he woke up in the morning, there was a glass of water and medicine on his nightstand. It was undeniable proof that it wasn’t a dream.

As Jae-gu twisted and squirmed, unsure what to do, his classmates stared at him as if he were something strange. They already knew he was unapproachable, but it felt like they were being reminded that he was someone they absolutely shouldn’t go near.

However, there were still those who approached Jae-gu.

    “Jae-gu.”

Jae-gu, unaccustomed to the ticklish way of being called only by his given name, suddenly looked up. His head rose so quickly that his vision spun for a moment.

Perhaps misunderstanding Jae-gu, who had squeezed his eyes shut, the class president immediately raised both hands and stepped back a couple of paces.

    “Ah, surrender.”

“What did I do for you to surrender, surrender?”

“Because it’d be scary if you suddenly threw a punch…”

“Hey, do you think I’m someone who just hits anyone?”

    “…”

    “Huh? Why aren’t you answering?”

    “Surrender! Surrender!”

Though the class president claimed to surrender, it was actually Jae-gu who had given up. He felt that if he allowed himself to be swayed by the class president’s made-up scenario, he would gain a reputation as someone who just beat up everyone.
