IRLPLBIO Chapter 9 Part 2
by BLReadsKwang-cheol didn’t ask how he knew his thoughts. Instead, he let out a small sigh and took back the wallet he had placed on the table.
“This will be a very big case, big enough that I can offer the consultation fee for free.”
“Huh… Yes, but Kwang-cheol, will you proceed? Even knowing it could be even more dangerous because it’s not an ordinary family?”
Im Ho-sin’s surprised expression was natural. However, the sensitive senses of a Dominant Alpha caught a gaze that seemed to be observing him.
“Yes.” Kwang-cheol, who answered immediately without hesitation, seemed to have a strangely shimmering glint in his eyes. Im Ho-sin briefly forgot to act and widened his eyes.
“Because what I want, I must have.” A chill emanated from Kwang-cheol as he spoke.
What he wanted, he had to have. Kwang-cheol was serious.
Jae-gu had always been his. From the moment he could remember, Jae-gu walked, talked, laughed, and cried by his side. The moment that Jae-gu mentioned another person, Kwang-cheol nearly lost his mind.
He said ‘Han Seong-cheol’. Jae-gu’s demeanor was different from when he usually talked about the friends he hung out with. He seemed a little annoyed, a little bewildered, and a little scared. That very Jae-gu.
And what kind of friend would offer two mobile phones just to get closer? Kwang-cheol couldn’t understand it, nor could he stand by and watch.
The aspect Kwang-cheol could use to recapture Jae-gu was his ‘secondary gender’. Days passed as he unconsciously guarded his surroundings, imbuing Jae-gu with powerful Alpha pheromones. By chance, he learned a family secret his mother had tried to keep from him.
Kwang-cheol didn’t think complicatedly. Since he had one more means at his disposal, he only intended to utilize it as effectively as possible. At the very least, he had to ensure he wouldn’t fall behind ‘Han Seong-cheol’.
As Kwang-cheol’s emotions surged, Im Ho-sin loosened his tightly tied necktie. Even then, he found himself gasping with an open mouth.
Kwang-cheol seemed to arbitrarily grasp and shake the air, without regard for those nearby. The air grew cold, then thick, then murky, constricting Im Ho-sin’s breath.
Was this also a characteristic of an Alpha?
Startled, Im Ho-sin unconsciously put distance between himself and Kwang-cheol.
Alphas were said to possess immense desires for dominance and conquest. Thus, it seemed Kwang-cheol had harbored such intense desires ever since he learned of the Dae-yeong Group’s existence.
Only when his back hit the sofa’s backrest, unable to move any further away, did Im Ho-sin realize his back was damp with sweat in that short span of time.
Even now, so soon after his manifestation, he was this powerful; it would be hard to imagine what he would be like as an adult who could control himself. Kwang-cheol was truly a born ruler.
It was then.
Ppi-ro-rong! A cute sound rang out, and at the same time, the tension that had filled the small space dissipated.
“Ah, I forgot to set it to vibrate.” Kwang-cheol took out his mobile phone and checked the message. He couldn’t miss a single call from Jae-gu, so he had set it to a different ringtone.
Kwang-cheol, who had been happily checking the message, thinking his older brother must be arriving, had his face stiffen. If Jae-gu hadn’t finished typing or had made a typo, he would have immediately sent an embarrassed message, but this time something felt strange.

It was clear a button had been pressed incorrectly while sending the message. What’s more, Jae-gu himself seemed unaware that he had continuously pressed the same button.
A sudden ominous premonition sent a chill down Kwang-cheol’s neck.
