    Chapter 50: Divorce, Kissed

Liang Huan’s back slammed heavily against the iron headboard, the entire bed shaking and emitting a grating creak.

His shirt was clutched tightly in someone’s hand, the pale knuckles revealing fine blue veins. Liang Huan withdrew his gaze, bent one leg, and looked at Li Yao, who was before him, somewhat embarrassed, enraged, and even exasperated, and smiled faintly.

Li Yao knelt between his legs, with some difficulty moving his gaze from the curve of his lips and meeting his eyes.

The two looked at each other like that, neither speaking, nor willing to look away first, as if in some silent confrontation and contest. The close proximity couldn’t separate their intertwined breaths, and the heat of their lips and teeth mingling still faintly lingered, as if continuing the sudden and excessively intense kiss just now.

Li Yao smelled a faint scent on Liang Huan, like a mixture of citrus and blood, and also like the ink smell of documents soaking in the high-level offices of the military department. This caused him a near-splitting confusion. He uncontrollably craved to continue the kiss, but an unspeakable disgust welled up from the bottom of his heart, forcing him to stop in place.

Liang Huan raised his hand and grabbed his wrist, his palm clearly feeling the hideous, raised scar under the little black dragon tattoo.

“Li Yao,” he stared deeply into Li Yao’s eyes, like a giant dragon exploring its territory, exploring the other’s thoughts, his voice slow and firm, “I don’t like you looking at me like that.”

“The story you told before,” Li Yao lowered his eyes, glancing at the wound on his lips that he had bitten out, “Did you really order that person to be killed?”

Liang Huan said, “I don’t want to lie to you. In that situation, killing him was the best choice for me.”

Li Yao met his eyes again: “The best?”

“Even if he didn’t die, he would have been of no use.” Liang Huan coldly and objectively assessed, “His crime was decided by me. As long as the rift exists, it will only grow bigger and bigger. I couldn’t keep him by my side.”

He really wanted to continue, but reason told him this was a dangerous topic, especially when talking to Li Yao.

“Why are you suddenly asking this?” Liang Huan was slightly dissatisfied, put his hand on his waist, his palm pressed against his back, pressing the person towards himself.

“Don’t you think your current situation is very similar to his?” Li Yao followed his strength to get closer, but turned his head and kissed his ear, “Do you think I should kill you now, or let you go?”

The muzzle of a gun pressed against Liang Huan’s waist.

Li Yao straightened up, his gaze toward him cold and rational, without any warmth, as if the intimate moments just now were just their illusion.

For Li Yao, this was an obvious trap. The point wasn’t whether Liang Huan chose to stand with him, nor was it whether he really trusted Liang Huan. Their feelings for each other were even insignificant – the point was Liang Huan’s identity. The military chip had undoubtedly confirmed that Liang Huan was from the military department. Whether he was loyal to the military department or not, his existence itself was dangerous to Li Yao, not to mention that Li Yao had already stepped into the trap called Liang Huan and had long ago developed hesitation and struggle.

If Liang Huan hadn’t urgently stopped it, this plan would have been successful, or this was also a part of the other party’s plan, in the hopes of gaining Li Yao’s deeper trust, but Li Yao couldn’t afford to gamble, nor could he make this bet.

Liang Huan leaned against the headboard in a relaxed posture, his expression calm: “If I were you, I would definitely pull the trigger.”

“When the matching information from the population matching center was sent over, I at least had one percent hope that they wouldn’t even give me that hope.” Li Yao said calmly, “Unfortunately, I was wrong.”

Liang Huan said, “‘Liang Huan’ is from the military department. I am not. You know that.”

Li Yao stared at him intently: “You have been in a state of mental disturbance since you came out of the training ground after the wedding that day.”

Liang Huan said calmly, “Li Yao, the instrument detected no problems.”

“I trust my intuition more.” Li Yao’s gun muzzle picked open his shirt buttons, slowly moved up, and landed on the position of his heart, “Even if you are from the military department, it doesn’t matter. I have so many spies from the military department around me. I’m used to it. From beginning to end, I just wanted to find someone to help me operate the mecha.”

“I live to avenge my brothers. It doesn’t matter if you are mentally disturbed and can’t operate the mecha. I just treat you as an ordinary spy, so I can convince myself. I didn’t expect you to be a substitute sent by the military department.” The veins on the back of his hand bulged, as if looking at Liang Huan, telling the person behind him, “You are so impatient, you must get that broken black box?”

Liang Huan slowly narrowed his eyes: “I cut off the mental link and destroyed the chip. How else do you want me to prove it?”

“You don’t need to prove it.” Li Yao rested his forehead on his shoulder and said in a low voice, “I believe you. You won’t hurt me.”

Liang Huan fell silent and grabbed his wrist.

Li Yao intertwined his fingers with his: “But I can’t believe ‘Liang Huan’. I can’t believe anyone from the military department.”

Liang Huan’s gaze turned cold: “I will help you.”

Li Yao’s shoulders and back were slightly hunched, as if he was being pressed down by something invisible and couldn’t breathe. He looked at Liang Huan, his eyes slightly red: “Liang Huan, I have to live.”

“Just like you killed that person, for me, you are actually already useless.”

Liang Huan hadn’t felt such sharp emotions for a long time. Even though he knew that what Li Yao said was right, he was still uncontrollably annoyed, even had a kind of offended humiliation. He warned in a deep voice: “Li Yao, think before you speak.”

“I’ve thought it through very clearly.” Li Yao saw that he finally had some emotions and curled his lips into a smile, “Let’s end it here, Your Majesty.”

The cold gun muzzle slowly moved up against his skin, covering Liang Huan’s lips and rubbing them ambiguously.

There was a knock on the door, and Yue Hang’s voice came from outside: “Liang Huan, are you inside?”

He was earlier than Liang Huan had estimated, more than half an hour ahead of schedule.

Liang Huan grabbed the muzzle of the gun: “I said, you are the person I have taken a fancy to. Neither the military department nor the laboratory can take you away. You have to give me some time.”

Li Yao looked at him, smiling a little sadly: “I will remember this beautiful encounter, and savor it from time to time, even if you can’t remember me anymore, or–”

The muzzle of the gun was aimed at Liang Huan’s brow.

“–Let you die with the memory of me.”

The gunshot rang out suddenly, and a woman in a negligee who had fainted suddenly woke up, screaming at the sight of the blood-splattered wall. Yue Hang outside the door was startled and kicked open the door, leading the Shenfeng team into the room.

On the messy bed, Liang Huan covered the shoulder that had been pierced again by the bullet. The massive blood loss made his face pale and greatly restricted his freedom of movement. The open window was blown back and forth by the wind, and the shattered glass refracted the dim light outside into dazzling rays.

He stared gloomily at those few beautiful rays of light, his mind filled with the back view of Li Yao jumping down decisively and resolutely.

“Liang Huan!” Yue Hang’s voice became somewhat blurred and distant, drowned out by the noisy wind.

Liang Huan finally couldn’t hold on and collapsed completely, still clenching the chip he had crushed in his palm.

Liang Huan had never left the palace since he ascended the throne.

He was the crown prince adopted by the late Emperor Liang Ye. Prince Regent Cui Qi was his real father. He had no time to explore the grudges of the previous generation, and Cui Qi was in poor health and unable to walk. There was no doubt that the Prince Regent would not covet the throne and would fully assist his young son. And the teacher who taught Liang Huan was called Baili Chengan, who was a talented, upright, and honest gentleman. Although she was a woman, she far surpassed many men.

Cui Qi would not be more intimate with him because of the father-son relationship. On the contrary, in order to block the world’s leisurely talk, most of the time he would deliberately alienate him. Baili Chengan was upright and taught him with all his heart, exhaustion, strict self-discipline, heavy homework, and state affairs he was used to, but there were also times when he could not breathe.

    But he could bear it.

Until the age of sixteen, Cui Qi died on the way back to the Hall of Diligent Governance during a heavy snow.

The Prince Regent died, and the whole country mourned.

The big mountain that had been pressing on him collapsed. He thought he could finally get a break, but he was more suffocated than before. He took advantage of the chaos to finally escape the cage-like palace.

That day should have been a festival, but because of the funeral, there were not many people on the street. He walked forward alone in the snow, and several teenagers of similar age gathered in front of a stall, chattering about something.

When he approached, he thought, what if there was an assassin–

“Young master, do you want a sugar painting too?” The stall owner was a young man in his twenties, “I can draw anything, chicks, ducklings, or names, as long as it’s one copper coin.”

“Draw mine quickly, I want a big tiger!”

“I want a fan, and bring a plum blossom for my little sister…”

    “I want a name, my name is…”

“Don’t squeeze, don’t squeeze, everyone will get one.” The stall owner did a very good job of both writing and drawing, and could even make three-dimensional flower baskets and lanterns, which caused several people to exclaim in surprise.

“Young master, it’s your turn, what do you want to draw?” the stall owner asked him.

Liang Huan realized that he had been standing here for a long time. He said, “No need.”

“You’ve been waiting for more than half an hour, come on, I’ll definitely draw you something very beautiful,” the stall owner said.

“A name, my name is–” He thought for a while, “Lin Chen.”

“Which Chen?” the stall owner asked.

“The chen of dust,” Liang Huan added, “the Lin of Lintu.”

The capital of the Liang Kingdom used to be called Lintu, and Liang Huan thought it was not betraying his ancestors. Who knew that the stall owner was quick and had already written the character Lin. He looked at him somewhat awkwardly: “Sorry, I thought it was this Lin. Your surname is not common in the capital. I’ll redo it for you.”

Liang Huan saw that his face and hands were frozen red, and the snow was getting heavier and heavier, and said, “No need, Lin Chen is fine.”

The stall owner quickly finished drawing and handed it to him. Liang Huan touched his sleeve, only to find that he only had a wad of silver notes with him. He touched a note with the smallest denomination and handed it to the stall owner. The stall owner waved his hands in fright: “Oh, young master, you can’t find change even if you sell me.”

“No need, it’s for you,” Liang Huan said.

“No, no, no, it’s just a sugar painting, I’ll give it to you,” the stall owner said with a smile, “No merit, no reward. It’s getting late, young master, go home early.”

Liang Huan took the sugar painting named “Lin Chen” and continued to walk forward in the snow, all the way to the city gate of the capital.

He looked up at the towering city wall and the magnificent city gate. A thought suddenly popped into his head: I wish I was Lin Chen.

The lights were on, and the guards at the city gate stood dutifully on both sides. People on the road raised their sleeves to block the snow and hurried on their way. Liang Huan looked at the two beautiful characters in sugar color in his hand and put the sugar painting in front of the stone lion at the city gate.

He dusted the snow off his sleeves and walked back unhurriedly along the way he came.

Close to the palace, more and more hidden guards chased after him. He walked to the palace gate, and Baili Chengan led the officials into the palace in a hurry. When they saw him standing there, they all knelt on the ground and shouted His Majesty.

Liang Huan stood in front of the palace gate with his hands behind his back, revealing a gentle smile in the snow.

“The snow is so beautiful, I came out for a walk.”

He led the officials back to the majestic palace in a burst of funeral bells.

Outside the city gate, the two characters Lin Chen were submerged in the flying snow. No one knew about it except him and the peddler he only met once.

When he heard the name “Lin Chen” from Ling Zao, Liang Huan vaguely felt bad.

He didn’t think there could be such a coincidence in the world, that the name he fabricated on a whim and the military chip with almost the same last four digits as Li Yao could appear at the same time.

If ‘Liang Huan’ was the Lin Chen that Ling Zao was talking about, then in Li Yao’s eyes, all his actions to keep him were suspicious, especially after the forced mental link, this chip almost “copied” successfully.

Liang Huan played with the chip, a little surprised that Li Yao didn’t shoot him to death.

He couldn’t wait for Li Yao to do this. As long as Li Yao wanted to shoot him to death, then no matter whether he was Lin Chen or not, he could justifiably keep Li Yao. He didn’t know how to deal with lovers, but he was too familiar with how to deal with assassins and enemies. Even if Li Yao would rather die than submit and wanted to commit suicide, he could handle it–he even expected Li Yao to perish with him, which was more comfortable than the current situation.

    But Li Yao didn’t.

He just forcibly kissed him, threatened him like a model, and then severely aggravated his injury, and took the opportunity to run away.

    It was really…too disappointing.

Remembering that before Li Yao ran away, he didn’t forget to press his hand full of blood and force him to press the signature on the divorce agreement, he smiled through gritted teeth.

Wang Le Ren closed his eyes and buckled the treatment instrument on his terrible shoulder, Su Mu Rong hurriedly matched him with a first-aid spray, Ling Xuan sighed: “Mr. Liang, it’s too chaotic outside, your identity is special, you should try to go to the Black Market less in the future.”

“A few minutes later, you would have died from blood loss.” Yue Hang said coldly, “Li Yao started so hard, you can still laugh?”

“Damn, I’ll take someone to catch him back!” Lu Biao was so angry that he was furious, “Does Brother Liang know what he is to him? He gave hundreds of millions of medicines as soon as he said it, served him with good food and drink, and took him with him at all times. If it wasn’t for chasing him, would Brother Liang be targeted by people in the Black Market?”

Liang Huan glanced at him indifferently.

Lu Biao shouted: “Brother Liang, what kind of man can’t you find? Do you have to have him? In my opinion, Captain Yue is much stronger than him, at least there are no scars on his face!”

Yue Hang was shocked and shouted: “What nonsense are you talking about?!”

Lu Biao was stunned by his roar and stammered: “I, I’m just making an analogy.”

Yue Hang sighed and looked at Liang Huan and advised: “Liang Huan, we all know that you like Li Yao, but Li Yao is a mercenary after all, he–”

“What’s wrong with the mercenary? You are still people from the Black Market, and you don’t even have an identity card.” Su Mu Rong couldn’t bear it any longer, “People don’t want to stay in the Black Market anymore. It’s not okay for you boss to chase after him and refuse to let him go. It’s a light sentence to be shot.”

“What did you say!” Lu Biao was a hot-tempered person and reached out to draw his gun.

Su Mu Rong glared at him: “What’s wrong with what I said! If you have the ability, kill me!”

“Do you think I don’t dare?” Lu Biao was angry, “Captain, don’t pull me, I think this Su is going to be the next traitor sooner or later!”

“Okay.” Liang Huan knocked on the table and said unhurriedly, “Sit down.”

Su Mu Rong put the prepared medicine in front of him and sat in the chair next to him. Lu Biao was so angry that he kept panting and sat angrily on the other side. Yue Hang looked at Liang Huan’s pale face and then at Ling Xuan, who was unmoved.

Ling Xuan looked at Liang Huan: “Mr. Liang, Li Yao’s identity is special. If you must keep him by your side, not only you, but the Black Market will also get into big trouble.”

“I understand.” Liang Huan opened a light screen, the fingerprints scanned on it were so clear, and the big words divorce agreement were also particularly conspicuous, “My marital relationship with Li Yao has ended. From now on, his affairs have nothing to do with us.”

Not only Ling Xuan, but everyone present couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Liang Huan knew very well that for the followers below, a happy relationship was the icing on the cake, but indulging in love and entanglement and even affecting business was a defect for the leader–this was why Lu Biao and Su Mu Rong dared to argue with him about Li Yao.

If he wanted to establish absolute authority in front of his subordinates, he had to prevent them from gesticulating about his private affairs, and he couldn’t let these trivial matters affect major decisions.

“If you’ve finished arguing, let’s have a meeting.” Liang Huan put away the divorce agreement and tapped the table with his fingers.

Everyone hurried to look serious and put away their personal emotions.

“Last night, Ling Zao was found dead in the Keang Sa club in the East Fourth District. The cause of death has not been announced yet.” Yue Hang said, “But according to Cen Weng, the owner of the Keang Sa club, mercenary traces were found at the scene, so now the public’s guess is more inclined to someone hiring a murderer.”

“Ling Zao has many enemies, and he has been eyeing the Fourth District Administrative Court recently. Many people also suspect that it was done by the Fourth District Administrative Court.” Ling Xuan said, “No matter which one it is, it is beneficial to us now.”

    “Beneficial?” Yue Hang wondered.

After the divorce agreement, Liang Huan took out an appointment order from the light screen: “Before Ling Zao died, I got an appointment order from him that he had signed and sealed.”

Yue Hang looked at the blank space for the appointee: “No appointee signed?”

“It was originally prepared for myself, the opening order department of the East Third District.” Liang Huan said, “Unfortunately, he didn’t have time to report to the military department, so this appointment order is currently a waste product, and he signed and sealed it a few minutes before his death.”

Su Mu Rong said: “Wouldn’t that mean that whoever’s name is signed on it is the biggest suspect?”

“That’s right.” Ling Xuan said, “Now the Black Market is already unable to make ends meet. The activity of banning illegal transactions is now proceeding normally, but the corresponding income is greatly reduced. If we want to maintain the operation of the Black Market, finding new income items is imminent.”

Liang Huan looked at her: “Our initial plan is divided into three steps. The first step is to organize several teams to obtain resources in the external districts, but this can only be a temporary solution. The second step is to cooperate with the mercenary base and take over all the consumption of the mercenary base. The third step is to negotiate with the administrative court to change the administrative court’s previous overzealous prohibition order against the Black Market.”

Su Mu Rong couldn’t help but said: “Except for the first one, the other plans are too radical. The mercenary base has already signed a consumption agreement with the Fourth District. When Ling Zao dies, the Black Market doesn’t hurry to clear the relationship, but instead rushes up to get together. It’s too suspicious.”

Ling Xuan said: “Dr. Su is also right, but if we do nothing, the collapse of the Black Market is only a matter of time.”

Liang Huan wrote a name on the appointment order: “What if the person appointed is him?”

Su Mu Rong was stunned: “This is…too unethical.”

“When he sold the dead mercenary to the Dawn Laboratory, he was unethical enough.” Lu Biao said with disgust.

The name on the appointment order was the name of the first person in charge of the mercenary base: Liao Yuan.

    Mercenary base headquarters.

You Zhao Chen lay on the sofa looking at the data of the mercenary base, sighing repeatedly: “Boss, Ling Zao suddenly died, now everyone suspects that the mercenary base did it, what should we do?”

The man sitting behind the desk looked thirty-five or six years old. He looked gentle and upright, wearing a white mercenary uniform, which looked completely different from the mercenaries who fought and killed.

Liao Yuan said calmly: “We didn’t do it, what’s there to be guilty about?”

“That’s right, they don’t have any evidence. So what if we did it.” You Zhao Chen laughed, “Ling Zao, that dog thing, swallowed so much money from us. This time, it’s considered a relief. I just don’t know who the administrative court headquarters will send over to take over.”

“Whoever comes is a mess.” Liao Yuan said, “No one has come to take over the East Fourth District for so long. The Third District is not much better. Having the life to stay is a skill.”

You Zhao Chen turned a page of the report: “The training ground has been closed for too long. People have been dying during this time, and the mercenaries below are a little restless. They are saying all kinds of things.”

“It will be repaired soon.” Liao Yuan looked up at him, “Aren’t you curious at all?”

“Curiosity killed the cat. I am a piece of trash kicked out by the military department. It’s good enough to find a place to stay.” You Zhao Chen threw the report away and stretched lazily, “My biggest wish right now is to have endless money and endless sleep. It would be even happier if the mighty and handsome boss could approve me for a week’s vacation.”

“…You have already overdrawn the next ten years of vacation with me.” Liao Yuan said.

“Then overdraw the eleventh year?” You Zhao Chen said confidently.

“You may not even be able to live for eleven years!” Liao Yuan threw the report to him, “Don’t think about taking a vacation again until you finish your vacation!”

“No–” You Zhao Chen stretched out his hand with difficulty to pretend to be dying, “Boss–”

Liao Yuan was too lazy to pay attention to him and got up to leave. He seemed to remember something suddenly and said casually: “Li Yao hasn’t returned to the base for more than a month, right? I heard that he has been with his wife in the Black Market?”

“He came back last week and has completed a mission.” You Zhao Chen said gleefully, “He has no wife, he is divorced.”

“Divorced?” Liao Yuan was a little surprised.

“His bad temper, what good person can stand it?” You Zhao Chen spread his hands, “He is also poor. He just came back and overdrawn next month’s salary from the base. I would divorce him too.”

Liao Yuan didn’t understand: “Isn’t his wife that Liang Huan? Isn’t he short of money now that he has taken over the Black Market?”

“So he was abandoned.” You Zhao Chen was even happier, “He is the boss of the Black Market, what kind of person can’t he find? What else does he have besides that face and a stack of bills?”

Liao Yuan sighed: “That’s right, it’s too unrealistic to get married as a mercenary, especially with his identity…It’s better to be divorced.”

“The boss said, I wish you a happy divorce.” You Zhao Chen put two bottles of wine on the coffee table, looking at Li Yao who was drilling under the bed to fix the bed, “What are you doing?”

“It was broken before, and that person didn’t fix it, the screws are all crooked, I’ll fix it.” Li Yao’s waist and legs were exposed, and his voice sounded a bit muffled.

You Zhao Chen dragged out a long voice: “Oh–who is that person?”

The toolbox was thrown out, Li Yao broke the edge of the bed and slid out, still biting a nail in his mouth. He wiped the sweat off his face and spat the nail into his hand: “My ex-husband.”

“Tsk tsk tsk.” You Zhao Chen gloated, “A good wife has become an ex-husband.”

“Yeah.” Li Yao had no expression, and threw the nail in his hand to him.

“Ew!” You Zhao Chen raised his hand to throw it out.

“There’s something inside.” Li Yao’s words stopped his action.

You Zhao Chen raised his eyebrows.

“It should be something like a tracker. I suspect it is gene real-time positioning or heat source tracking.” Li Yao opened the lunch box on the table and stuffed it into his mouth, “Before, no matter whether I was in the Black Market or came out, Liang Huan could always find me immediately. I almost ruled out all the possibilities, and finally remembered that he had fixed my bed.”

“It takes at least an hour for signal heat source scanning and positioning.” You Zhao Chen said, “Can he find a way to make you sit still for an hour?”

“…Yes.” Li Yao lowered his eyes, “He gave me acupuncture and didn’t let me move.”

You Zhao Chen was silent for a while before uttering a swear word: “Are you stupid? You believe this?”

“It’s useful.” Li Yao sat cross-legged on the carpet, eating frantically.

You Zhao Chen simply had nowhere to complain: “Your brain must have been bitten by zombies, or it has been homogenized by aliens. What is the anti-tracking training you received at the military academy? What are the spies who were shot one by one by you?”

Li Yao said calmly: “The sequelae broke out at that time, I didn’t expect it, and then I forgot.”

    You Zhao Chen: “…”

“Liang Huan is a person sent by the military department. The military chip number on his body is the same as mine except for the last four digits. It should also be able to forcefully conduct high-intensity mental link with me.” Li Yao finished the last bite of the meal, wiped his mouth, and took two sips of water, “But he stopped at the critical moment, making me believe him.”

“What if this is his way of making you trust him?” You Zhao Chen frowned, “Damn, the child you rescued from the external district two years ago was also the same. You almost raised her as your own daughter, but after a long time, it turned out to be a spy from the military department, and that Zhou Siyu…I really saw someone actively helping the spy to complete the mission for the first time. Li Yao, you are a pure idiot. Why don’t you just live in the military department’s spy group, surrounded by spies, which is no different from now.”

Li Yao choked on the water unexpectedly and laughed.

You Zhao Chen looked at him with disappointment: “The military department has really spent a lot of money to train these spies. They are just short of dissecting you to see if the black box is hidden in your nucleus. Who can prevent this?”

Li Yao twitched his lips: “Don’t say it, I’m a little sad.”

You Zhao Chen said: “Kill him?”

    Li Yao said: “Kissed him.”

“Damn?!” You Zhao Chen stared at him.

Li Yao leaned lazily on the sofa: “He has been in a state of mental disturbance and will not remember when he wakes up. The chip was destroyed by himself, and I kissed him – I think this is a very successful anti-spy beauty plan.”

    You Zhao Chen: “…Haha.”

“What are you doing?” Li Yao saw him get up and walk to the window.

“I’m jumping down from here.” You Zhao Chen yanked open the small window, “I’m not living anymore.”

“I still have to live after the divorce, don’t think so badly.” Li Yao pried open the bottle of red wine he brought, shook it and smelled it twice, then put it back on the coffee table, “If you die, stay away from the floor I live on, otherwise it will be difficult to sublet.”

You Zhao Chen sat back down, “Not living here anymore?”

“My ex-husband is now rich and powerful. I shot him when I ran away.” Li Yao said dejectedly, “I’m afraid he will come to seek revenge if I continue to live here.”

“Then where are you going?” You Zhao Chen asked.

Li Yao sighed: “Pack up and live with the zombies in the external district.”

You Zhao Chen looked at him suspiciously: “Are you sure?”

“Very sure.” Li Yao picked up the wine and touched him, “A good future is waiting for you, there is no need to waste time with me here.”

You Zhao Chen’s hand holding the wine bottle froze in place.

“Don’t drink one to send me off?” Li Yao looked at him with a smile, his stiff expression reflected in his eyes.

You Zhao Chen’s voice was dry: “You…when did you find out?”

“The first day I entered the mercenary base.” Li Yao looked at him gleefully, “You used to skip spy class every day, I told you a long time ago that falling in love delays things.”

“Damn…” You Zhao Chen also laughed with him, but his laughter was a little shaky. He grabbed the wine bottle and touched Li Yao, and touched his left arm and pressed something, saying seriously, “You know I didn’t just come for the mission, right?”

    Li Yao nodded: “I know.”

“If it’s not me, it’s someone else, it’s better for me to come, at least I can watch you when I come,” You Zhao Chen choked suddenly, and cursed, “Damn, you can find this…”

Li Yao smiled and patted him on the shoulder: “Little You, you still need to practice more.”

You Zhao Chen wiped his face: “Get out.”

“I originally wanted to see how long you could last, who knew you could last so long, and if it continues like this, you will almost transform the mercenary base into the second reserve team of the military department.” Li Yao said, “There is nothing useful on me, operating the mecha is just to tease you for working so hard…You have also collected a lot of the bad things that the mercenary base and the Third District Administrative Court have done, hurry back.”

You Zhao Chen took a deep look at him: “Li Yao, there are still many people in the military department who believe you are innocent, as long as you are willing to cooperate, we will definitely be able to–”

He met Li Yao’s calm and unwavering eyes and swallowed the rest of the words.

“Never mind.” You Zhao Chen raised the wine, “I wish you a smooth journey.”

Li Yao smiled and clinked glasses with him: “Thank you.”

The next day, You Zhao Chen, who was hungover, returned to the office in a daze, and saw Li Yao standing behind Liao Yuan flipping through the reports.

“Li Yao?” He was stunned, “You–”

“I forgot to tell you, Li Yao finally agreed to be the chief training officer of the mercenary base last night!” Liao Yuan patted Li Yao on the shoulder with a happy face, “From now on, he is the second person in charge of our mercenary base like you! I believe that with the joint efforts of the three of us, the mercenary base will definitely become bigger and stronger, and better and better!”

You Zhao Chen directly ignored the impassioned Liao Yuan, and rushed to Li Yao in one step and grabbed his collar: “Damn you, Li Yao! You dare to play with me?!”

Li Yao smiled and said, “Captain You, don’t be excited, I just had a whim last night, we can start over now.”

You Zhao Chen went to the window with a wooden face.

“What is this…” Liao Yuan looked at this one and then at that one, suddenly realizing, and thought he had found the correct answer, slapped his hand, “Hey.”

You Zhao Chen: “What are you hey-ing?”

“I said mercenaries should find mercenaries!” Liao Yuan put one arm around one and laughed, “Fertile water does not flow to outsiders, I am most relieved that you two are together, those pretty boys are unreliable, no wonder Li Yao suddenly figured it out.”

“Figured out what?” You Zhao Chen struggled frantically.

“In fact, I knew that you liked him the first day Li Yao entered the mercenary base.” Liao Yuan shook his head, “As a result, you two were inexplicably fighting every day, I thought it was something.”

You Zhao Chen shook his head frantically: “I must be crazy, I would never like him even if I liked you!”

Liao Yuan blamed: “Don’t make trouble.”

You Zhao Chen drank the wine, the mission failed, and he turned off the military chip at the critical moment. As a result, Li Yao turned his head and refused to admit it. He couldn’t leave if he wanted to, and the mercenary boss was still spreading rumors about him here, and suddenly felt that the sky was falling: “I…”

Li Yao met his eyes and smiled maliciously: “Then I wish us a brilliant future?”

Liao Yuan was high-spirited: “Create together–”

A communication message suddenly interrupted his ambitious words.

There was a seal of the Third District Administrative District on it, Liao Yuan opened it in confusion, and a brand new appointment order appeared in front of them.

“Job description for the opening order department of the East Third District Administrative Court…” Liao Yuan was at a loss, “What the hell is this?”

Li Yao looked at the familiar appointment order, which Ling Zao personally signed and stamped in front of him and Liang Huan. It was very clear who did this.

You Zhao Chen looked at the time on it, and his heart sank: “Boss, the appointment time on it seems to be three minutes before Ling Zao’s death.”

Liao Yuan took a closer look, and his eyes suddenly went dark, followed by a communication that was dialed over, Liang Huan’s gentle voice slowly sounded in his ear: “Mr. Liao Yuan, hello, I am Liang Huan, the new administrator of the Black Market, may I ask if you have time to have a meal together recently?”

Liao Yuan said in a deep voice: “What’s going on with this appointment order? Liang Huan, did you do it?”

Liang Huan smiled: “I have time at three o’clock tomorrow afternoon. If Mr. Liao is not at ease, you can set the location. Our Black Market has a business to discuss with you.”

“You–” Liao Yuan was about to curse when the other party hung up the communication.

Liao Yuan looked at Li Yao in exasperation.

“?” Li Yao spread his hands helplessly, “Now you know why I want to divorce him.”

Liao Yuan was choked in place.

After hanging up the communication, Liang Huan sighed: “Deng Meng, why do you think Li Yao wanted to divorce me?”

Deng Meng was counting the mental strength of the Shenfeng team. When he heard the words, he said: “Maybe Brother Li has some unspeakable secrets.”

Liang Huan raised his eyebrows: “Unspeakable secrets?”

“Although I don’t know very well, but Brother Liang, you and Brother Li had such a good relationship before, he couldn’t want a divorce for no reason.” Deng Meng sighed, “To put it bluntly, Brother Liang, you are
