Chapter 1: The Omega at the Aristocratic School 1: Beautiful and Helpless…

#Rational Discussion: What exactly does the new omega’s Pheromones smell like?#

OP: I was walking to the cafeteria after class today and saw the transfer student. I smelled a fragrance first, and I immediately had a feeling. When I turned around, it really was him. He’s even more beautiful in person than in the photos, and the scent is incredibly alluring…

    1L

Can any omega describe it clearly? Wait, I think I asked a stupid question. Is it Lu Qingyun?

    2L

It is him! But I haven’t had a chance to see him yet. How are so many people running into him!

OP Reply to 2L: Go to the cafeteria more often. I saw many people meeting him near the entrance. It was my first time seeing him too. He looked over. He’s walking closer. So fragrant, so fragrant. But why isn’t he wearing a Scent Blocker? That’s too dangerous.

    3L

I think you, OP, are the most dangerous one. Cafeteria, right? I’m coming.

OP Reply to 3L: No, he’s not here anymore. It’s over. He seems to have been dragged away by a group of people! I heard them saying something about calling Brother Lu.

    4L

Then it’s over. No heroic rescue possible. Lu… I can’t afford to offend him.

    5L

If I remember correctly, Lu Chi is in his Rut Period recently, right? I haven’t seen him much these past few days. Could this sudden situation be…

    5L

No way, no way! Please don’t…

    6L

Why not? An omega as beautiful and helpless as him being thrown in here—isn’t the meaning obvious?

The forum post fell silent for a while, no one sending messages for a long time. Lu Qingyun arrived at the school half a month ago. He was rumored to be an Inferior Omega from a village. When he first arrived, just one photo of him spread throughout the forum.

The photo wasn’t very clear, but the slight blur made it look like a filter had been added. The fair-skinned youth had just stepped out of a black car, his slender legs straight. Someone had abruptly shoved a backpack into his hand. The youth hadn’t reacted yet, frowning unhappily. This photo still occasionally gets pushed to the top of the hot threads.

At that time, someone had already dug up his information, causing a huge stir on the forum, making it almost common knowledge.

Lu Qingyun was at this school through Sponsorship, though “sponsorship” was just a nice-sounding term.

Nali Academy, as a top-tier school, claimed it would continuously offer sponsorship spots to provide opportunities for more impoverished students, all to better maintain its reputation.

The school did follow through, but quite perfunctorily. After releasing the open audition spots, they barely paid attention. No one truly looked after Lu Qingyun after he was sent to the school. Aside from not paying tuition, Lu Qingyun still had to manage everything else himself.

Everyone understood what would happen to such a powerless omega without protection, placed in this environment.

Yet, nothing had happened since the omega arrived, other than him occasionally being discussed on hot threads and his photos flying around.

A City had recently experienced several days of rain. After the sun came out, the next wave of heat began. The sun outside was getting increasingly harsh. Approaching noon, the sun made people feel restless and hot. Everyone passing by sought a cool spot. The area outside the Equipment Room, however, was a riot of color. Several bright hair colors were extremely noticeable—the kind that would get you chased and scolded by teachers in a regular school.

But at Nali Academy, it was common. No one could control these rich young masters, and no one dared to.

These few people were standing at the Equipment Room door, all staring intently at the omega inside, their eyes filled with a certain infatuation.

In the sunlight, a tall boy walked over from a distance. He immediately saw the group gathered at the Equipment Room entrance and coughed irritably.

One of the red-haired boys reluctantly tore his gaze away and walked toward Lu Chi. He reached out to grab the other’s clothes but was met with a glare, causing him to obediently withdraw his hand.

“Brother Lu, we know you’re uncomfortable. We’ve arranged everything for you,” the red-haired boy said, raising an eyebrow, clearly expecting a reward.

The others also slowly approached, chattering away. Lu Chi’s head was pounding until he finally pieced together what they had done.

They seemed to have dragged an omega inside.

Lu Chi glanced at them one by one as if they were lunatics, then kicked the instigator, quickly chasing them all away.

As he turned to leave, he suddenly remembered something, clicked his tongue in annoyance, and looked back at the Equipment Room.

The doorway was empty, not even a guard. Was that omega inside so stupid he didn’t even know how to run? He was speechless for a moment, growing even more disdainful. This omega must either be stupid or have some ulterior motive…

With that thought, he pushed open the Equipment Room door and stepped inside.

The lights weren’t on. The first thing that hit him was a faint fragrance. The light that streamed in when the door opened briefly illuminated the space. Lu Chi looked around and saw the omega curled up in the corner.

The boy must have heard the sound, too. He raised his head and glanced over. His wide pupils constricted, and he quickly lowered his head again.

Lu Chi froze. He closed the door behind him, finding the feeling of that brief glance hard to describe. The boy’s pupils were light blue, and his eyes seemed veiled with a layer of mist. When he looked over, there was a hint of panic. The sudden contraction of his pupils created a ripple, as if looking straight into one’s heart.

Lu Chi slowed his steps, the disdain he had carried upon entering completely gone.

Perhaps the Pheromones diffused around him were too comforting. He developed a strange impulse. By the time he realized it, he was already squatting beside the boy.

The boy naturally sensed his approach and tried to shrink further into the wall until he had nowhere left to retreat.

Lu Chi felt a sudden surge of displeasure. Just before entering, he had contemptuously thought this was an Inferior Omega trying to climb the social ladder just because of some Pheromones. Now, the boy’s desperate avoidance felt like a heavy slap across his face, making his cheeks burn.

“You…” His voice rose, clearly losing his temper, but the sentence was abruptly cut short.

He heard a sob—a suppressed, extremely low weeping sound. There were only the two of them in the Equipment Room, which was utterly silent. Even so, he almost missed it.

The omega beside him, who avoided him like the plague, was crying.

Realizing this, Lu Chi’s hand twitched. His body instinctively wanted to move closer, but after remembering something, he stood up and moved away from the boy.

The Equipment Room wasn’t very large, and one side was filled with equipment, leaving little actual floor space. But because the omega was curled up in the corner, the room suddenly felt vast.

He had come in to alleviate his discomfort, but now Lu Chi felt even more restless.

He had used an Inhibitor before leaving the Dormitory, but now he felt a renewed heat. The faint fragrance should have dissipated after a whiff, but staying longer made it feel pervasive, as if it had mixed into the air, becoming addictive.

Lu Chi spoke stiffly, “They left ages ago. Why aren’t you running?”

The boy in the corner raised his head. Although the environment was dim, Lu Chi could still see those beautiful eyes looking over with a hint of confusion. He had just been crying, and his eyes looked misty.

Lu Qingyun glanced at him, then at the closed door, his gaze seeming meaningful as he looked back at Lu Chi, a trace of confusion on his face.

Lu Chi froze, then laughed—out of anger.

It seemed like a simple action, but Lu Chi felt deeply insulted. The omega before him had the words “Aren’t you human?” written all over his face.

Yet, his wide eyes looked so innocent.

    “…”

Using the cover of darkness, Lu Qingyun brazenly sized him up. Taking advantage of the fact that he was facing the light while the man opposite him was backlit, Lu Qingyun quickly summarized some useful information.

First, this person must be very powerful. The group who grabbed him earlier must have been his subordinates. Perhaps this person was one of the F4 at the aristocratic academy. Second, he seemed easy to fool, quite soft-hearted, and a bit foolish.

A flicker of cunning crossed Lu Qingyun’s eyes. There were no tears on his face now, and the deliberate pitifulness he had manufactured had vanished completely.

This was his fifteenth day in this world. After dying, he hadn’t fully perished but had been bound to a system that sounded utterly insane. However, one crucial piece of good news attracted him: the system said that the money earned in these worlds could be converted to the real world at a 10:1 ratio.

Resurrection plus money—what kind of life-changing drama was this? He was naturally tempted.

However, he encountered a highly unreliable system. After issuing the task, it immediately packed up and ran off. Lu Qingyun was speechless for a while but quickly accepted it. This way, his freedom was also increased.

Of course, there were downsides. His current identity wasn’t great. He was supposed to be a villain, but they had to add the prefix “Cannon Fodder Villain.” And he started off so miserably. What was worse was that he was using his original, sickly body.

The cheap flip phone in his pocket vibrated, pulling Lu Qingyun back to reality. He didn’t take it out, knowing who it was.

A moment later, footsteps sounded outside. Lu Qingyun adjusted his expression. Light streamed in abruptly as the door opened. He raised his hand to shield his face, frowning naturally.

A young man rushed in from outside. The moment the door opened, the man’s tanned skin beneath his short sleeves immediately drew attention. His chest was heaving rapidly, and his breathing was quick; he must have run all the way. His tightly furrowed brow relaxed slightly upon seeing Lu Qingyun, then tightened again.

He bypassed Lu Chi at the door and quickly moved to help Lu Qingyun up. His brow furrowed even more when he touched the boy’s cold skin.

This was Shen Zhifan, the Protagonist Shou of this world.

Lu Qingyun let him help him, then suddenly realized he might have inadvertently facilitated the meeting between the Protagonist Shou and one of the Protagonist Gongs.

Based on his earlier guess that the man in the room was one of the F4, hadn’t he just unintentionally introduced him to the Protagonist Shou?

Lu Qingyun’s current identity was an omega from the countryside. He was supposed to be bullied by a group of powerful protagonists. The Cannon Fodder Villain was meant to push the plot forward, so he had to frame others.

Naturally, he found a scapegoat, the Protagonist Shou. During one incident where the cannon fodder was being harassed by the protagonists, he tricked the Protagonist Shou, claiming he wanted to meet him, and then lured the Shou to the place where the protagonists were cornering the original host.

This event kicked off the protagonists’ story. So, his mission was to play the cannon fodder well and accumulate enough Villain Points. The first mission’s role-playing was relatively simple. Lu Qingyun quickly sped up the progress and successfully befriended the Protagonist Shou, Shen Zhifan.

Now, hadn’t the Protagonist Shou met one of the potential Gongs ahead of schedule?

Lu Qingyun silently thought, so those subordinates were wingmen after all.

The beautiful, romantic first encounter he imagined did not happen. Lu Chi frowned unhappily when the person entered. Seeing the man rush straight over, ready to take the omega away, he immediately stepped forward, blocking the two of them.

The light streaming in from outside was blocked, casting a shadow. In the darkness, Lu Qingyun suddenly remembered that the setting of this world included the Chasing Love to the Crematorium trope, meaning those F4 likely had terrible tempers.

Lu Qingyun glanced at Shen Zhifan out of the corner of his eye. The man’s face was tense, as if facing a formidable enemy. He was frowning, probably trying to figure out a plan, Lu Qingyun thought. After all, this Protagonist Shou was overly honest. In the few days they had known each other, he had figured out Shen Zhifan’s personality completely. Thinking of something, he subtly withdrew his gaze.

The omega lightly coughed. His legs went half-soft, and he leaned directly into Shen Zhifan’s arms. The man beside him stiffened for a moment, then reached out to wrap an arm around his waist. Lu Qingyun took the opportunity to shrink back slightly. He raised his eyes to look at Lu Chi, his eyes filled with fear. His hands were tightly clenched, wrinkling his clothes.

Lu Chi’s hand subconsciously moved, but he realized what he was doing and pulled it back. His eyes seemed controlled, locking onto Lu Qingyun’s. His mind grew increasingly blank, and he could barely hear anything.

Shen Zhifan anxiously checked Lu Qingyun’s condition. Seeing the boy’s legs getting weaker, about to collapse, he disregarded everything else and scooped the person up into a bridal carry.

The words he spoke were laced with unprecedented severity.

“Move aside. Can’t you see he’s in distress?” Shen Zhifan was worried. After speaking, he brushed past Lu Chi shoulder-to-shoulder and rushed out, carrying Lu Qingyun.

Unexpectedly, leaving the room was so smooth. The fear in Lu Qingyun’s eyes completely vanished. Shen Zhifan was holding him steadily, and he closed his eyes with peace of mind.

On his phone’s message screen, the message he had sent Shen Zhifan a few minutes earlier read: “Shen Zhifan, I feel a bit unwell. I think I’m sick again…”

Next planned novel: “Targeted by My Boyfriend’s Older Brother.”

Three months into dating her boyfriend, Shen Shiyun unexpectedly met her boyfriend’s older brother.

The man sat there in a suit, his gaze fixed on her. In that moment, Shen Shiyun felt like prey, watched so intently that her heart trembled.

Later, sure enough, a series of changes occurred in her life.

Her belongings mysteriously disappeared, she constantly felt watched, her boyfriend suddenly became busy and they barely saw each other, and her boyfriend’s brother, Fu Huaiyu, kept showing up…

Shen Shiyun finally couldn’t bear it and prepared to tell her boyfriend, only to receive news of Fu Huaiyu’s death.

Shen Shiyun couldn’t shed a single tear at the funeral, but she failed to notice the increasingly gloomy look in her boyfriend’s eyes beside her.

One day, Shen Shiyun pointed at her boyfriend’s back and asked suspiciously, “Huaiyan, you didn’t have a mole here before, did you?”

P.S.: 1. Beloved Shou, the Gong is not a good person, includes forced love. Later, the Shou is forced into submission.

    2. The Shou is relatively indifferent to relationships; the Shou will not be heavily abused.
