Chapter 3: Omega at the Noble School 3 – Little Liar.

The screech of tires braking mixed with loud screams.

The car swerved a few times, but it was too late. It hit the young man directly in front, knocking him onto the ground.

The surroundings instantly became noisy, and a crowd gathered.

Seeing a throng of people instantly swarm the front of the car, the man inside pinched the bridge of his nose and impatiently pushed the car door open.

“How are you? Can you stand up?”

“Did you hurt your leg? Why aren’t you saying anything, student…”

    “Should we call an ambulance?”

A crowd was chattering around him, and Lu Qingyun felt his head was about to explode from the noise.

Xie Jin, who had just gotten out of the car on the other side, felt the same way. He waved his hand dismissively, and the others immediately made way, falling silent like quail.

Xie Jin, the young master of a famous aristocratic family and a prominent figure, was naturally known by everyone in the school, and no one dared to provoke him. His bad temper was notorious. The crowd’s eyes swept over the Omega on the ground, and they all felt a pang of sympathy.

The Omega was wearing a long T-shirt on his upper body that was slightly faded from washing. Because it had been washed too many times, it was slightly transparent, as if his thin shoulder blades could be seen through the fabric. He wore shorts on his lower body, revealing pale, tender legs.

His legs were slightly curled up now. His knees had been scraped when he fell, looking bloody and somewhat alarming. The Omega clutched his ankle, which seemed to be sprained. He kept his head down, apparently unable to stand up due to the pain.

Xie Jin walked over, his eyelids slightly lowered, looking down at the person beneath him. His face was indifferent, showing no sign of embarrassment after hitting someone.

He spoke, first letting out a scoff, his tone laced with disdain, and his voice cold. The temperature around them seemed to drop.

“You dare try to stage an accident with acting this bad?”

The surrounding people instantly gasped inwardly, their eyes fixed on the Omega. The boy’s condition didn’t look faked at all, but the group was afraid to speak out.

Lu Qingyun’s lowered eyes moved slightly, and silent tears streamed down his face, a sight that was startling. The boy supported himself with one hand on the ground, enduring the pain to force himself to stand up.

His brows were slightly furrowed in pain, and his face was pale. The surrounding crowd felt an urge to help him. The Omega’s tightly pursed lips symbolized his stubbornness. He stood up and slowly started walking. He paused when he got close to Xie Jin, then bumped past the man’s arm and limped toward the school.

Xie Jin hadn’t expected this Omega to dare to bump him and was caught off guard, stepping back slightly. As the Omega brushed past his arm, Xie Jin clearly saw the tear tracks on his face. His lips and face were deathly pale, likely from the pain. His hand suddenly trembled.

Xie Jin could feel the condemnation in the eyes of the surrounding people and instantly felt like a huge black pot had been dumped on him.

He clearly saw in the car that this fearless Omega not only didn’t dodge but boldly took a step forward. It was clearly an attempt to stage an accident. He had encountered too many people like this, all trying to extort money from him.

But… the Omega’s pain just now didn’t seem fake. Moreover, those who tried to stage accidents before would panic and explain themselves when exposed, but this person didn’t.

The Omega stood up and left so decisively. If he really wanted to extort money, he wouldn’t have walked away.

Xie Jin rubbed his brow in annoyance. Perhaps he was too tired these past few days and saw wrong while in the car.

He took a deep breath and spoke, “Wait.”

Lu Qingyun didn’t stop, acting as if he hadn’t heard, his thin body swaying as he walked into the campus.

Xie Jin “Tsked,” took a step, walked to the car, and threw the car keys to the other person inside. “Drive it in for me.”

The person in the passenger seat hadn’t moved the entire time, sitting steadily there, tapping his fingers lightly a few times, his eyes fixed deeply on the retreating Lu Qingyun.

He spoke abruptly, his tone slightly low, his voice flat and calm, “You didn’t see wrong just now.”

Xie Jin was stunned, not reacting to what he meant. “Huh?”

The man inside didn’t speak again. Xie Jin hated this habit of his the most—stuttering and not finishing his sentences. He cursed irritably, then ignored everyone else and chased after Lu Qingyun.

Lu Qingyun had slowly moved into the campus. He didn’t wipe the tears from his face. He had heard the “Wait” and was silently counting the seconds in his heart.

He had indeed done it on purpose just now. He wasn’t an idiot; those few seconds were enough time for him to react.

The car was still some distance away from him at the time. Although the surrounding people were shouting urgently, that was from their perspective. In reality, he had enough time to run away. However… he had calculated that the car would stop at a distance greater than half a step from him.

His only regret was that his step forward had been too obvious, and the whole act wasn’t entirely successful.

But… the sound of the man running came from behind him.

[Villain Points +3. Host needs to know that Villain Points must accumulate to 100 for the second mission to be considered successful. Current progress is 3/100.]

Lu Qingyun slightly raised the corner of his mouth. The result was a success, killing two birds with one stone.

He lowered his eyes, thinking without burden: the system asked him to accumulate Villain Points, but as for the specific method, it couldn’t control that.

Lu Qingyun couldn’t walk fast due to his leg injury, and Xie Jin quickly caught up. He reached out to help him, but unexpectedly met Lu Qingyun’s gaze, which made him freeze.

The Omega’s stubborn eyes glared at him, the contempt in them becoming almost tangible, piercing him.

Xie Jin knew he was in the wrong and forced himself not to speak. His mouth was usually quite venomous, and coupled with the fact that he thought the Omega was deliberately staging an accident, he naturally hadn’t been polite.

Seeing the Omega still trying to walk forward on his own, he simply reached out and picked him up. When he held him, he realized the person had no weight at all. Why was he so light? He had never carried anyone like this since childhood, so he had initially anticipated the force needed based on his own weight. He hadn’t expected Lu Qingyun to be so light; he felt like he could swing the person around his head a few times.

The Omega in his arms struggled slightly. Xie Jin glanced at him and spoke in a deliberately cold, hard voice, “You’re heavy. If you move again, I’ll drop you.”

Lu Qingyun barely managed not to roll his eyes. He scorned inwardly that this man had such little strength. However, since his goal was achieved, he symbolically struggled a few times and then lay still. But after a moment, he realized something was wrong.

Xie Jin, holding him, looked satisfied. When his eyes swept over the boy’s leg injury, a flicker of guilt crossed his eyes, and he quickened his pace.

Xie Jin carried him all the way to the school Infirmary, gently placing Lu Qingyun on the bed, then immediately backed away.

Lu Qingyun frowned, glancing at the person beside him. This man didn’t seem to intend to just throw money and leave.

This wasn’t right. How was he supposed to get the money then…

In fact, his leg was fine, only a minor scrape.

Perhaps sensing the Omega’s gaze, Xie Jin thought he was in too much pain. He somewhat panicked and called out the doctor sitting in the inner room, almost walking with the same foot and hand.

The doctor in the Infirmary was a woman in her 40s. Before she came out, seeing the man so anxious, she thought something serious had happened and became flustered. But she relaxed when she saw the boy only had a scraped leg.

She had been working here since her 20s and had seen much worse. She couldn’t help but look at the anxious boy, smiling slightly as she asked, “Boyfriend?”

“No.” Lu Qingyun pursed his lips and replied first. He frowned, finding it a bit strange.

Lu Qingyun wasn’t interested in other people’s sexual orientations and didn’t see anything wrong with such things. It was just that he wasn’t, and Xie Jin didn’t look like he had that kind of relationship with him. At this moment, he had completely forgotten that the world he was currently in was an ABO setting.

Xie Jin’s “No” hadn’t even left his mouth before the Omega interrupted him. This made him slightly displeased. He could refuse, but why did someone else have to say it first? Why did it seem like this Omega was dissatisfied? Was being associated with him so unacceptable? Was he someone shameful?

He grunted irritably. In a trance, he remembered Gu Hanshi’s words when he threw the car keys: “You didn’t see wrong just now.” He hadn’t thought about it then, but now he suddenly understood what he meant. That is, this Omega had indeed taken a step forward when the car passed. He had been staged, and then he happily chased after him. Damn it.

With both incidents combined, he instantly became displeased and began to despise himself for being so accommodating. Xie Jin’s face turned cold, and he glanced disdainfully at Lu Qingyun’s face.

    Little liar.

He turned to leave, but remembering something, he coldly pulled a card from his pocket and threw it over, dropping the words, “The password is six fours,” before lifting his foot and walking away.

Lu Qingyun was stunned. The card landed perfectly beside him, within easy reach. He blinked, not understanding the man’s sudden change of expression.

The female doctor was also startled, looking in the direction the man had walked out. When she turned back, she met the Omega’s obedient smile. She couldn’t help but smile back.

The Omega stood up. Aside from the scrape, there was no problem with his leg. He spoke sweetly, “Sister, I’m suddenly better. I’ll come back next time if something happens.”

“Ah…” The female doctor had only managed one syllable before the Omega’s black hair flashed past her eyes, and he was already running away. She silently finished her sentence, “Be careful of your leg.”

The female doctor scratched her head, not understanding what had just happened, with both of them running off. She stopped thinking about it and turned back to the inner room.

Lu Qingyun ran excitedly for a while, then gradually slowed down. Okay, the scrape still hurt a bit. He slowed down, wanting to ease the pain.

Their school had a self-service mini-bank. He walked for a while, cutting through a small path to reach it. He took the card and walked in. It was noon, and there weren’t many people here. He entered the small booth, placed the card on the counter, and clicked to check the balance.

    100000.

Hundreds, thousands, ten thousands, hundred thousands. There were 100,000 in the card. Wow, how rich! That man threw 100,000 at him. Lu Qingyun converted it: in reality, it was 10,000. He suddenly hated this conversion rate; it was such a scam, and he felt his heart bleeding.

Lu Qingyun satisfiedly put the card away and walked toward the Dormitory. The scrape on his leg was right on his knee, so he needed to go back and rest. He remembered that the large package the original owner brought seemed to contain medicine. He just needed to check if there was medicine for scrapes.

Normally, a scrape elsewhere wouldn’t affect walking, but on the knee, it was somewhat restrictive. Lu Qingyun limped up the stairs. Their Dormitory was on the fifth floor, and walking up without the elevator was a bit tiring.

Actually, the Dormitory building had an elevator, but as a temporarily selected student, and since the school didn’t pay much attention to him, he hadn’t been issued an elevator card.

When Lu Qingyun reached the Dormitory, the others must have been talking. He thought he even heard his name. He abruptly pushed the door open, and the voices inside instantly ceased. Several people turned to look at him.

Lu Qingyun couldn’t be bothered with them. He walked in with lowered eyes, went to the cabinet, and found the scrape medicine among a pile of other medicines. The original owner’s family must have treated him well; the medicines were individually labeled with tape. The bottles looked like they were leftover from other finished medications. Perhaps fearing dampness, the packaged medicines were neatly placed inside each bottle.

Lu Qingyun’s eyes darkened, something flashing in their depths. He looked somewhat downcast, gripping the bottle of scrape medicine tightly. He thought he should contact the original owner’s family sometime.

Although the system had previously said that he hadn’t occupied someone else’s body and that his identity in all worlds was specially generated, only coming into existence the moment he arrived, even if the family was virtually generated, the emotions in that moment were still real.

The Dormitory had been silent since he entered. The other few people were still watching him. Lu Qingyun felt annoyed. He held the medicine bottle and walked into the bathroom.

Closing the door finally isolated him from their gazes. Lu Qingyun half-squatted on the floor, took out a cotton swab, and applied the medicine to his leg. A stinging sensation came from his leg. Lu Qingyun pursed his lips, enduring it. He was quite rough and cruel to himself, quickly applying the strong medicine.

Lu Qingyun lowered his head, his lips downturned. The wound on his leg was alarming, making one feel that he shouldn’t have to suffer such grievances. When the door opened, the Omega looked up defensively, his eyes tinged with red.

Wen Zhiyu felt his heart tremble slightly. He spoke in a deep voice, “Who did that?”

Lu Qingyun glanced at him and then looked away. It was a pointless question. What good would telling this roommate do? Moreover, none of these roommates were relevant to the plot. He couldn’t be bothered, and he didn’t even know the name of the person in front of him.

Lu Qingyun used his hand to wipe off the medicine that had spilled onto the bottle and screwed the cap back on as he stood up.

He walked to the sink, turned on the faucet, and washed the medicine off his hands.

The only sound in the bathroom was the rushing water. Wen Zhiyu watched Lu Qingyun through the mirror above the sink. The tall boy’s face was stern, giving off a sense of pressure.

Lu Qingyun looked up and met his gaze through the mirror, then casually turned off the faucet, shaking his hands as he turned back.

Just as Wen Zhiyu thought he wouldn’t get a response, the black-haired Omega bumped past his shoulder at the doorway and spoke coldly, “Does it concern you?”
