Chapter 1

Prologue.

“Let’s break up.”

On a sunny day, Lee Jun calmly announced the breakup. To the person who had created the warmest and most beautiful moments of his life, a being no different from sunshine to him.

Lee Jun raised his head towards the man standing opposite him. He wished his expression appeared indifferent, but he couldn’t check. Instead, he saw the man’s bewildered face, unsure how to react. The man seemed to part his lips several times before forcing out his voice.

“Is that your answer to my suggestion that we study abroad together?”

“Have a good trip.”

Lee Jun cut him off and offered his best farewell. The man’s face, suddenly confronted with an end, crumpled. Yet, to Lee Jun’s eyes, still fond of him, even that looked good and handsome.

“Even if I don’t go to study abroad, are we still breaking up?”

“Yes.”

There was no turning back.

“The reason we’re breaking up… it’s because of studying abroad, isn’t it?”

No.

Studying abroad is just an excuse.

I have a family to be responsible for, and if I keep seeing you, I can’t protect my family. Instead of explaining what happened when he was young, and what circumstances he was now facing, he cut him off.

Since this was the best he could do, he had no regrets. Lee Jun said in an indifferent tone.

“I don’t think we’ll meet again until graduation; if we happen to, let’s pretend not to know each other.”

He attached the ‘if by chance’ clause, but in reality, he was certain they wouldn’t meet. He only had one year left until graduation, and the man would be abroad for several years.

“Wait, Senior…”

Lee Jun turned away first for the sake of his bewildered partner. Otherwise, the man might have tried to hold onto him. He was that kind of Alpha.

The time he spent with him had been so happy, unforgettable for a lifetime. That’s why he wished even more for the other to move on quickly.

‘I liked you a lot, and I loved you.’

The last farewell he truly wanted to say he buried in his heart. Thus, one year passed since he broke up with Chaeheon.
