    Chapter Index

“Usually I would just say I don’t like it, but today you even ran all the way here. Do you dislike black goat that much? But you ate what I gave you last time.”

Back then, he had eaten it without knowing it was snail. Even then, he stopped midway once he found out. Lee Jun, who had left the neatly tied string instead of untying it again, turned to Park Geon-u.

“How on earth do you know those kinds of things so well?”

“Me? Those are things I’ve eaten well since I was young. As you know, I’m the pillar of my family.”

“A precious pillar who will give birth to the next individual with a secondary gender trait?”

    “Similar.”

Lee Jun remembered hearing that he was a son difficult to obtain and grew up quite loved because he was born with the rare and precious Alpha secondary gender trait. He closed his eyes, pretending not to notice the pheromones emanating from Park Geon-u.

“I’ll just stay here for a little while and then leave.”

“That means you used me as an excuse to come in here. Aren’t you going to tell me why you came in?”

Lee Jun saw Park Geon-u, who had come very close to him, and shook his head slightly. He remembered the time Chaeheon had been prickly when Lee Jun wore Park Geon-u’s clothes.

“So you’re being so tight-lipped. Is it perhaps because of the group guests outside?”

As Park Geon-u kept pressing, Lee Jun eventually gave up and nodded. Although the time they had spent together was short, Park Geon-u always asked about Lee Jun’s concerns until the very end. At first, that felt burdensome, but once he realized it was concern shown because Park Geon-u wanted to help, he started to share things that weren’t extremely personal.

    “They’re from the same department.”

    “Aha.”

Park Geon-u clapped his hands as if he understood.

“There was a very noticeable man there too, wasn’t there?”

Lee Jun pressed his lips together. It was precisely him.

    “Are you bothered by him?”

    “Yes.”

    “Perhaps…”

Park Geon-u subtly glanced at him. Even with his eyes closed, Lee Jun felt he knew what Park Geon-u was going to say.

“Was he someone you were interested in?”

    “No.”

They were a couple who had dated and broken up. But he didn’t say that much. The only person who knew he had dated Chaeheon until now was just one person, and it wasn’t Park Geon-u.

    “Ah, is that so?”

Park Geon-u, who had casually dismissed it, found it funny himself and let out a dry laugh.

“I thought you had feelings for him and that’s why you were so bothered.”

    “Park Geon-u.”

Lee Jun opened his eyes and merely turned his head sideways.

“It’s just that we have an awkward relationship.”

“You said you didn’t have any school friends, didn’t you? I think you only had one junior…”

Park Geon-u tried to dispel the awkward atmosphere with a dry laugh. Because it was a question asked out of concern for him, Lee Jun forced a smile.

“Just try to get to know everyone on this occasion.”

    “It’s fine.”

With Lee Jun acting this way, Park Geon-u could no longer insist.

“I want to stay here until those group guests leave.”

    “Alright. Then.”

Park Geon-u told him to rest there and got up.

    “I’ll tell Min-cheol.”

As Lee Jun bowed his head and offered his thanks, Park Geon-u ruffled his hair and left the room. Lee Jun, left alone, stretched his body out, half-lying on the sofa.

    “Friends? No way…”

He could never be friends with Chaeheon. He was bothered that they had ultimately changed the serving staff midway, so Lee Jun covered his eyes, when he heard the sound of the door opening. Just as he thought Park Geon-u had come back to say something…

“It won’t do you any good to hide in here.”

At the unexpected voice, Lee Jun froze stiff.

    “Chaeheon.”

Because it was the staff room… He had relaxed, thinking it was a space where only authorized personnel should enter, and ended up being even more flustered.
