“I didn’t mean to overhear, but somehow it just happened…”

As Park Geon-u scratched his forehead and spoke with an embarrassed look, Lee Jun shook his head.

    “Are you okay.”

To begin with, the staff room wasn’t my personal space, and it wasn’t a place where I could eavesdrop or anything.

“Aren’t you trying to go in?”

Lee Jun stepped aside and signaled for them to enter. However, Park Geon-u seemed to still have something to say, as he simply stepped into the spot Lee Jun had stepped aside from and did not enter the room.

    “Why are you doing that?”

As Lee Jun was studying his face while hesitating, Park Geon-u lowered the hand that was covering his forehead and began to cry awkwardly.

“I don’t know what kind of relationship you have with that guy earlier.”

Even after saying this much, Park Geon-u paused for a moment, seemingly overwhelmed. Unsure of what he was about to say, I waited, and Park Geon-u sighed deeply before continuing.

“If you’re in trouble, use me.”

“You want me to use it?”

“If you ask me again if I like you, you can answer like that.”

    “I heard everything.”

At this point, there was no need to ask how much he had heard. Park Geon-u, unsure of what Lee Jun would say, muttered the words coming out of his confused mind, feeling awkward in the silence.

“I thought something was strange when you came here, but no, why did Mijung just give this place to him so easily…”

“I’ll be careful not to let something like this happen again.”

The firm intent in Lee Jun’s soft voice cut off Park Geon-u. He wasn’t angry, nor did he seem embarrassed by what he’d overheard.

    “I’ll go.”

Lee Jun greeted Park Geon-u with his eyes and left alone. He was busy serving other customers instead of Kim Min-cheol, who was in charge of serving the group, and Lee Jun’s diligent movements caught my eye.

    “Hmm.”

Since returning to school, I’ve felt like we’re growing apart.

Aside from receiving a group of guests, time passed as usual, and Lee Jun untied the knot on his apron. His mind was elsewhere, his hands moving mechanically, while the staff behind him exchanged silent signals.

Everyone was pointing at Lee Jun, but no one stepped forward. Then, Park Geon-u decided to push Kim Min-cheol forward, and he resisted, but failed, forcing himself to take a step forward.

Kim Min-cheol looked at those who had left everything on him as the youngest, resentfully, and sighed helplessly. The burden had already been placed on him, so there was no other way.

    “I… Lee Jun-i hyung.”

    “Why?”

“Are you going straight home? Why don’t we have some beer after a long time?”

“I have somewhere to stop by.”

    “Is it so?”
