Chapter 33 Part 2
by BLReadsKim Min-cheol sullenly turned to the people standing behind him. They waved their hands as if to pressure him to try again, but he shook his head in disapproval. He already had an appointment, so what was the point of holding him back? But no one listened. At their gesture, telling him to try again, Kim Min-cheol sighed, and Lee Jun turned away.
“Not today.”
Lee Jun, who Park Geon-u thought wasn’t paying attention, met Park Geon-u’s gaze and spoke. He meant that he didn’t have time, so Park Geon-u shouldn’t drag Kim Min-cheol into it any longer.
“Ahem.”
Park Geon-u tried to pretend not to notice, but he’d already been caught. Park Geon-u asked him a question in a subtle way.
“Is it really not possible?”
“I have to give you this.”
Lee Jun held up the paper bag he’d left in his locker. He didn’t say what was inside, but he made it clear he couldn’t go with them.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Goodbye, hyung.”
Kim Min-cheol opened the door himself, and Lee Jun waved at him before leaving. Leaving the Pasta Restaurant and descending the narrow stairs, Lee Jun pulled out his phone before stepping through the door. He dialed Chaeheon, and before the two rings, Chaeheon’s voice came through.
[Are you done?]
“Uh. I’ll go home.”
[Come quickly.]
Lee Jun put down his phone and narrowed his eyes as if he’d swallowed bitter medicine. It was an ordinary day, but perhaps because the person was a stranger, he felt a strange sensation.
“It’s dangerous…….”
He needed to just ignore everything related to Chaeheon, but he was in danger of not being able to do so. Lee Jun shook his head.
“Let’s not even think about it.”
Lee Jun took the crumpled paper bag and walked away instead.
“Hey.”
A thin voice from beside him sounded firm, as if it were clearly calling out to Lee Jun. When Lee Jun turned around, a woman looked at him with an awkward expression.
Where have I seen her?
“I’m the customer who came here earlier…….”
“Ah… Did you leave something behind?”
Now I remember where I’d seen her. She was the last guest to arrive, and she was with a group, but now she’s alone, so I couldn’t remember her.
“It’s not something I left behind.”
As she waved her hand, Lee Jun remained silent, seeming even more confused.
“I like you. If you don’t have a boyfriend….”
I don’t need to hear the whole story anymore. People used to ask for his contact information every once in a while while working, but now he’s so busy thinking about Chaeheon that he can’t even think of it.
“Hmm…….”
While Lee Jun was thinking about how to refuse, unfamiliar footsteps rang out.
“Senior.”
Lee Jun raised his head, startled by a voice that shouldn’t have been heard here. Chaeheon, closing the distance with his long legs, had his gaze fixed on Lee Jun, unwavering.
“What are you doing here?”
Lee Jun asked, flustered. They had agreed to meet at his house, but he was surprised to find him here.
“I told you to wait.”
“That was true, but…….”
