Chapter 43 Part 2
by BLReadsWaiting for Chaeheon, someone approached and spoke to Lee Jun. When Lee Jun turned his head, it was a man as tall as Chaeheon. Perhaps because of that, Lee Jun found himself staring at him unconsciously.
Then he wondered what he was doing. Besides his height, the man had nothing in common with Chaeheon. His eyes weren’t long and deep like Chaeheon’s, nor was his lip line neat.
That didn’t mean the other person was ugly. It was just that Chaeheon had become the standard in Lee Jun’s eyes, making him unable to think someone was handsome simply because they looked different.
“You’re a secondary gender, right? Alpha? Omega? If you release your pheromones, I’ll guess.”
It was obvious to anyone that the man had approached him with interest, but Lee Jun had nothing to say.
“I’m sorry, but I have a prior engagement.”
At Lee Jun’s firm refusal, the man nodded as if understanding, yet showed no intention of backing down. With eyes that seemed to be trying to discern if Lee Jun was telling the truth, Lee Jun turned his head away from him.
Lee Jun had no intention of satisfying the man’s curiosity.
“Just looking at you, you seem like an Alpha? But…”
The man was trying to say that while Lee Jun’s height and uniquely indifferent face made him seem like an Alpha, there was something about him that drew his heart, making him seem like an Omega.
As the man continued to talk, Lee Jun intended to cut him off without listening further. However, before Lee Jun could turn back to the man, Chaeheon caught his eye, making him pause.
Seeing Chaeheon’s face light up with welcome, only to crumple into a frown upon seeing the man beside Lee Jun, almost made Lee Jun laugh.
Chaeheon understood the situation in an instant and reacted that way. Thinking back, he was indeed a very jealous lover…
“Did you, by any chance, have company?”
Perhaps sensing Chaeheon’s sharp gaze, the man turned and asked. Lee Jun didn’t answer immediately, pondering what kind of relationship they had.
“I asked if you had company.”
Perhaps because he was within earshot of the man’s voice, Chaeheon’s sharp gaze turned to Lee Jun. It was an accusation, asking why he didn’t answer properly. However, Lee Jun hadn’t deliberately not answered.
“I was meeting him to sort things out, and I was wondering if this counts as dating, or if there’s another way to describe it.”
“No, then…”
Chaeheon started to speak, dumbfounded, but couldn’t finish his sentence.
“That is dating, what else would dating be?”
“But we met because the feelings from our previous relationship and breakup hadn’t been properly resolved, right?”
“So that is dating.”
“But wouldn’t it be a little different?”
“If you’re even kissing, then you’re dating.”
In Lee Jun and Chaeheon’s tense conversation, the man was somehow forgotten. He seemed to give up and walked away, but unaware of this, Lee Jun continued to press his question about whether they were truly dating.
“We’re not meeting with excited hearts again, so can we really say we’re dating?”
“Not all beginnings are the same. Some start by falling for each other’s eyes, others by falling for each other physically… No, why do I have to explain this?”
Chaeheon trailed off, looking dumbfounded, then firmly declared before Lee Jun could even refute.
“We’re just dating.”
“But…”
“Whether feelings are sorted out or whatever, that’s for later. Right now, we’re dating. My lover is Lee Jun, and Senior’s lover is me, Chaeheon.”
Chaeheon raised a hand as if to tell Lee Jun not to say anything more.
“That’s how! I’ll introduce you to Han Jeong-min.”
The moment Han Jeong-min’s name was mentioned, Lee Jun’s mouth miraculously closed. He had momentarily forgotten why he was there. Lee Jun turned his gaze toward the entrance, thinking of Han Jeong-min who would be inside. Han Jeong-min, Hae Sol’s biological father, and the one who had abandoned his sister.
“Chaeheon.”
At Lee Jun’s gentle voice, Chaeheon flinched, then blocked his path and met his eyes.
“In front of my friend…”
Lee Jun knew Han Jeong-min, but Han Jeong-min didn’t know that Lee Jun was Haein’s older brother.
“Just be like this.”
“Being like this means…”
“Just love me a lot.”
So that Han Jeong-min could never forget me.
