    Chapter 46.

After meeting Han Jeong-min, life returned to its usual routine. Attending classes and eating meals with Chaeheon had become familiar, to the point where others no longer found it strange.

Within that, Lee Jun also created his own routine while sharing time with Chaeheon.

Today, as soon as he got home, he started on the dry laundry. As Lee Jun folded, Hae Sol, sitting next to him, would pick up the clothes and put them in the drawer. His small hands struggled to grasp the clothes, crumpling them as he put them in the drawer, leaving them a mess, but Lee Jun didn’t mind.

    “Hae Sol is doing great.”

He knew to put them in the drawer because Lee Jun had him sit beside him every time he folded laundry. It was amazing that a baby not even a year old knew such things.

“Hae Sol, do you want to sleep with Uncle today?”

Lee Jun leaned down, kissed Hae Sol’s forehead, and asked. Whether he understood or not, Hae Sol clapped his hands happily.

“You like it? Uncle likes it too.”

It was good to sleep more deeply when holding Hae Sol. Lately, Haein had been very insistent about not letting him take Hae Sol, but one day should be fine.

“When you’ve folded them all, give Hae Sol to me, so I can bathe him.”

    “Alright.”

At his mother’s call from the kitchen, Lee Jun shouted loudly without taking his eyes off Hae Sol, and continued folding the laundry. Then, an odd sound came from somewhere, and Lee Jun looked around, discovering his phone trapped under Hae Sol’s bottom.

    “Why is this here? Huh?”

He didn’t know how it got there, but since it was vibrating, he checked who was calling. Seeing the name on the screen, he wondered what was up and cradled the phone between his shoulder and face.

    “Hello?”

Waiting for Chaeheon’s reply, Lee Jun placed the folded clothes in front of Hae Sol. Then Hae Sol picked up the clothes again and put them in the drawer.

[I’m on my way to your place, Senior.]

Lee Jun, who had been watching the process, suddenly frowned.

“Why are you coming all of a sudden?”

At the blunt statement that he was just coming, Lee Jun lifted his head. Thanks to that, the phone slipped from his shoulder and dropped right into the drawer.

Lee Jun pondered for a moment.

Should I just not pick it up?

The call timer at the top kept ticking, but there was no sign of the call ending. Lee Jun shook his head and nonchalantly picked up the phone.

The name Chaeheon was clearly displayed on the screen.

[Let’s sleep together at my place.]

“Why do I have to sleep at your place?”

He had planned to sleep with Hae Sol tonight, but now he was unexpectedly going to be sleeping with a big guy. He was quite annoyed, but Chaeheon’s voice was so soft that it made him even more exasperated. He was just showing up unannounced, so why was he acting so affectionate? One of the changes was the sudden increase in contact lately.

Not only did he call every day asking what coffee he wanted, but he also sent messages bragging about reserving a seat at the library.

It wasn’t just calls; he also volunteered to be his driver. He often drove him home after classes, and sometimes showed up unexpectedly on weekends to drive him to the Pasta Restaurant.

It felt like he was always good to him, but now he was even more overtly and confidently good to him?

    ‘This is really something…’

Should he call him a pushover, or like a dog? He kept forgetting about how Chaeheon used to threaten him about his secret, because Chaeheon was constantly wagging his tail.

Lee Jun, wondering if he should send Chaeheon back since he had already left, grumbled.

“When you come, raid the convenience store.”

I guess I’ll drink beer and watch a movie. Lee Jun hung up the phone, put it down, and quickly tidied up his surroundings.

    “Brother.”

Haein opened the door wide without knocking and entered.

“If you came to pick up Hae Sol, take him.”

Lee Jun roughly tucked his phone into his pocket and stroked Hae Sol’s head. He did that out of a feeling of apology, as he had planned to sleep with him tonight. But instead of taking Hae Sol, Haein sat on a chair and pointed at his phone.

    “Who was that?”

Haein’s gaze was not ordinary, so she probably knew who it was and was asking.

“What are you trying to say?”

    “Are you two dating again?”

As expected, Haein asked directly. Lee Jun openly sighed.

“Why are you curious about that?”

Haein stamped her foot and drew out the end of her sentence.

“Well, you’ve been staying out overnight frequently lately, and you seem to be on the phone a lot, so I thought you might be dating again.”

As Haein acted as if he should just confess, Lee Jun glared at his phone for no reason. Why did he say he was coming today? But it wasn’t like any other day would be different, so he had to say he was going out tonight.

Haein would probably react with ‘I knew it,’ but Lee Jun spoke, feigning as much calm as possible.

    “I’m going out now.”

“See? I told you you were dating.”

Lee Jun decided to just send Haein out and poked at her weak spot.

“Are you not going to study? Are you not going back to school?”

“I was wondering when that was going to come up.”

“If you’re going back soon, prepare in advance. Don’t wander around saying you don’t know.”

    “I’ll handle it myself.”

Indeed, Haein had been on a leave of absence since having Hae Sol and hadn’t been able to return to school for quite some time.

    “Brother.”

    “What now?”

Lee Jun retorted curtly, but Haein couldn’t easily continue her next words.

    “Nothing.”

Lee Jun, noticing her hesitation before she said ‘Nothing,’ met Haein’s eyes. Haein’s expression, with furrowed brows, looked quite serious, as if she had a concern.

    “Is something wrong?”

“Something? No, I’ll just sit quietly with Hae Sol and wait impatiently for Uncle to come back.”

Even though she said that, it was obvious she’d be doting on Hae Sol, kissing and cuddling him, and then going to bed early.

    “Have fun.”

Haein smiled and waved her hand.

Lee Jun, who had been looking at his phone, looked up at the car’s headlights. At the sight of the familiar car model slowing down as it approached, Lee Jun put his phone in his pocket. The car stopped, and Chaeheon got out, carrying something.

    “What’s that?”

“You told me to raid the convenience store, didn’t you?”

    “And?”

“I brought them for your sister.”

    “……”

Haein, who had just been prying about him staying out overnight, came to mind. Lee Jun’s hand went to the handle of the bag.

“Haein was just asking if we were dating, and now you want me to give her this?”

“Should I go tell her myself?”

Snacks, beer, soju, energy drink, hangover remedy, triangle kimbap, coffee, chocolate… A toy?
