    Chapter Index

Chaeheon didn’t wait for Kim Gyeong-hun’s answer and went to Lee Jun. Left alone, Kim Gyeong-hun rubbed the shoulder Chaeheon had patted.

“Does Lee Jun Senior think the same way?”

Kim Gyeong-hun tilted his head, seemingly confused by the somewhat ambiguous request.

    “So, they’re dating after all.”

He hadn’t believed them even when they first called it a ‘situationship.’ Kim Gyeong-hun, having been given a mission for seeing what he shouldn’t have, watched their retreating figures.

He couldn’t understand why he still thought they were handsome, even though he could only see the backs of their heads, their backs, buttocks, and legs.

Nonetheless, Chaeheon, with his broad and sturdy shoulders, and Lee Jun, impressive with his upright posture, looked good together.

Lee Jun went to the park alone. He hadn’t intended to meet anyone; he simply needed time to think by himself.

Even when he reconnected with Chaeheon, he couldn’t push him away, which eased much of his fatigue, but now even the lingering anxieties in his heart had settled. He had anticipated this, but the sense of stability he gained was so much more than expected that Lee Jun himself was surprised.

So now, he wanted to think about things differently.

    “Han Jeong-min, Park Dong-hu, Uncle…”

First, Park Dong-hu had said that the person he followed, the ‘uncle,’ had taken a contract. At the time, he had only considered him someone related to Chaeheon…

“If they can summon people and apprehend someone just for one contract, how powerful is Chaeheon’s family?”

It’s not that such things couldn’t happen even in a small shop, but he kept feeling it was something much bigger than that. Considering what he saw at Club IN, even the way Chaeheon spoke of secrets to him, wasn’t it likely he was born into a well-known family?

    “Who is the bad one?”

Recalling what he heard from Park Dong-hu, Chaeheon’s side seemed to be the worse one. At the time, he was preoccupied with whether or not to mention Hae Sol, so he hadn’t delved deeper…

“If Chaeheon is definitively on the bad side, what will happen?”

Before, he had decided to unequivocally keep his distance from Chaeheon and had settled his stance accordingly, but now he couldn’t ignore Chaeheon.

Since he had to piece together the situation alone, without being able to speak to Chaeheon, his worries continued.

He had come out in the evening, and as time passed and lights began to turn on one by one, a long shadow stretched towards Lee Jun’s feet.

    “Chaeheon’s lover… right?”

He had only heard it once, but it was a voice he could never forget. When Lee Jun raised his head, Han Jeong-min was standing there, smiling a welcoming smile.

“Ah, he told me not to pretend to know you if we met separately… But you’re such a welcome sight, how could I just pass by? Right, Hyung-nim?”

    “Long time no see.”

“Is that so? I guess it is.”

Han Jeong-min thought about when they had last met, then nodded.

“Did you hear? I contacted Chaeheon in the meantime.”

    “No.”

Lee Jun didn’t even turn his head towards Han Jeong-min, who had naturally sat down beside him. One glance at him was enough.

“I was wondering why he hadn’t suggested we meet again. I wanted to see you, Hyung-nim, but he wouldn’t give me the chance. But how did we end up meeting here?”

Han Jeong-min continued speaking as if amazed, but Lee Jun didn’t respond.

    “Is your home perhaps nearby?”

    “Yes.”

“Oh, I see. My home isn’t around here; I came to see someone and then came to get some fresh air.”

“Came to see someone?” Lee Jun looked at Han Jeong-min, who had acted as if he would never look back.

    “Who?”

    “Could it be…?”
