    Chapter Index

“You’re the one whose dating life dried up.”

“Exactly. I didn’t know I’d become an Omega, and you, well… Anyway, who else would I come here with, huh?”

Perhaps because Lee Jun was the only other Omega of the same secondary gender, Park Dong-hu pleaded with him to come along.

He probably didn’t tell him on purpose for this very reason. Lee Jun felt it was a waste of time to turn back after coming all this way. He decided it would be better to accompany Park Dong-hu so he could quickly take care of his business, rather than spending time worrying. But there wouldn’t be a second time.

“I’m not coming out next time.”

“I’ll buy Hae Sol a present later.”

Park Dong-hu descended the stairs with an excited face. Lee Jun watched Park Dong-hu slide down and reluctantly stepped onto the stairs himself. He couldn’t tell if the unusually narrow and dark entrance was just his perception.

    “How far are we going?”

Lee Jun followed Park Dong-hu, who kept walking even after entering Club IN. Park Dong-hu said he had someone to meet, so they kept going, past the stage, and quite deep into the area with rooms.

    “We’re here.”

Park Dong-hu diligently checked the room numbers. As he got closer to his destination, his steps quickened. Who exactly was he going to meet?

Lee Jun eventually slowed his pace, no longer following Park Dong-hu, and looked around. The air was thick with pheromones like a fog, and Lee Jun covered his mouth with his sleeve. It was supposed to be a secondary gender club, but it was almost difficult to breathe.

    “Lee Jun. Over here.”

As the distance widened, Park Dong-hu, who was ahead, gestured. Then, pointing at the door, it seemed they had arrived. At Lee Jun’s gesture to go in first, Park Dong-hu opened the door.

    “Uh… uh-oh.”

But he didn’t go in; he hesitated. He was frozen, as if he had seen something he shouldn’t have, beyond just being flustered.

    “What is it, seriously?”

Lee Jun muttered as he approached Park Dong-hu. Did he find the wrong room? If so, why was he just standing there blankly instead of apologizing and closing the door? Lee Jun took a step forward, intending to apologize on Park Dong-hu’s behalf. As he got closer, he felt as if his stifled breath, due to the pheromones, was clearing up; he wondered if it was his imagination.

As a part of the room entered Lee Jun’s vision, he, too, froze like Park Dong-hu.

    “Why…”

Why was that man kneeling? And why were the men in black suits, holding his arms as if to restrain him, looking so menacing?

“We seem to have the wrong room. Sorry about that.”

Having quickly assessed the situation, Lee Jun feigned nonchalance and apologized, reaching for the doorknob on Park Dong-hu’s behalf. It was strange that an unknown man was kneeling, but it was none of his business anyway. Just as he was about to pull the handle, Park Dong-hu’s shout rang out.

    “Hyeon-seong hyung!”

    “Ah…”

It seemed Park Dong-hu hadn’t found the wrong room after all.

Just as Park Dong-hu seemed to find someone he knew, Lee Jun also spotted a familiar face. He thought he wouldn’t encounter him outside of school. That’s why he had firmly pushed him away earlier that day. But… why was he meeting him here?

Still, it wasn’t the worst. He wasn’t looking their way right now, so Lee Jun thought he could just avoid him first. Lee Jun took a step back, as if he hadn’t hesitated at all, but something touched his back, blocking him. Before he could figure out what it was, the man turned his head and their eyes met.
