Chapter 52 Part 2
by BLReads“No way… You’re even earning money with it, so that’s impressive enough.”
“You earn money?”
At Kim Gyeong-hun’s surprised reaction, Lee Jun looked at Chaeheon with disapproval. Why did he have to mention something that didn’t need to be said…?
“So that’s why you said you’d do the PowerPoint Presentation. This is the first time I’ve seen a presentation like this. No, people usually just use existing backgrounds or ones they find online. But wow…”
“You should look at the content. Is there anything to fix?”
“No. It’s perfect!”
Kim Gyeong-hun turned to Lee Jeong-yun and asked if there was anything to fix, and she also shook her head. As she eagerly flipped through the slides, apparently very pleased, Lee Jun abruptly closed his laptop.
Lee Jeong-yun looked at him, as if feeling regretful, as Lee Jun gathered everything, including his laptop, and put it into his bag.
“I’ll send the rest by email, so you can look through it as much as you want then.”
Lee Jeong-yun was a little disappointed, but soon nodded. Then she fiddled with her phone before nudging Kim Gyeong-hun with her elbow. Kim Gyeong-hun tried to pretend he didn’t notice her pleading gaze, but the movement of her hand jabbing his side was unusual.
“Ugh, look…”
Kim Gyeong-hun, having finally been pinched in the side by Lee Jeong-yun, started speaking in a strained voice.
“I have something to say.”
At Kim Gyeong-hun’s words, directed at Lee Jun, Lee Jun looked puzzled for a moment before nodding.
As Lee Jun stood up and went outside, Chaeheon’s gaze followed him. He was curious what Kim Gyeong-hun suddenly wanted to say, but given the atmosphere, he felt he shouldn’t follow them, so he remained still.
“Um, Chaeheon.”
It was Lee Jeong-yun’s cautious call; she hadn’t left yet.
Realizing belatedly that Lee Jeong-yun was still there, he watched as she repeatedly twitched her lips, trying to choose her words.
From her wandering gaze, hesitant hands, and expression that showed she wanted to say something, he could guess what she was about to say.
‘So this is why Kim Gyeong-hun took Lee Jun away.’
They didn’t have a separate purpose over there; the purpose was here.
“So…”
“I’m sorry.”
“Huh?”
“We’ve been getting along well, but I haven’t been able to tell you.”
Lee Jeong-yun stared blankly, as if the lead in the conversation had suddenly been taken from her.
“I only told Kim Gyeong-hun that I was dating Lee Jun.”
“…Huh?”
Chaeheon repeated himself to her, who seemed to ask again, unable to understand.
“That I’m dating Lee Jun.”
“Ah…”
Lee Jeong-yun nodded as if she understood.
“I knew it.”
She knew it? As Chaeheon tilted his head in confusion, Lee Jeong-yun smiled brightly, as if relieved.
“Kim Gyeong-hun kept his mouth shut because he said it wasn’t his business, so I wanted to ask. I knew it, you two really are dating.”
“What is it?”
“Everyone else in the department is curious too.”
Lee Jeong-yun tapped her phone screen and showed him the chat log from a group chat.
“Look at this. There are so many messages asking if you two are dating, right? But Kim Gyeong-hun was so unfair, he knew and kept his mouth completely shut.”
“…Right.”
“I’ll be rooting for you.”
Lee Jeong-yun gathered her bag with a relieved expression and left. Then, as if she’d forgotten something, she turned back to Chaeheon.
“I won’t say anything either. Don’t worry.”
She waved her hand and left, leaving Chaeheon alone to let out an incredulous laugh.
“So why didn’t they say anything? Both Kim Gyeong-hun and she are too tight-lipped.”
He wasn’t sure if that was a good thing.
