    Chapter 52.

Waiting for Chaeheon to come out, Lee Jun recalled the argument he had with Haein over the weekend. Haein kept saying she would handle things on her own and had even interviewed, and it seemed she had started working in the interim.

It wasn’t just talk; she was genuinely working, so it didn’t seem like she would listen if he tried to stop her.

No matter what, her priority now shouldn’t be working to take responsibility for Hae Sol, but rather returning to university. It would be better to graduate quickly and get a job somewhere, but Haein didn’t seem to intend to wait that long.

As his worries deepened, the sound of the door opening was louder than expected, making Lee Jun flinch. Because of this, even after making eye contact with Chaeheon, who was coming out, neither of them spoke first. Chaeheon turned his head from Lee Jun to look at the door he had just pushed open. It seemed this was the cause…

    “Sorry.”

    “It’s okay.”

Lee Jun shook his head and walked ahead, and Chaeheon watched his retreating back before following him.

“Did you wait for me instead of going ahead?”

“I just had something to think about.”

Even though Lee Jun shook his head as if he hadn’t waited on purpose, Chaeheon heard what he wanted to hear.

    “What did Kim Gyeong-hun say?”

“Nothing much. He just said it was good working on the group project together this time.”

“So, Lee Jeong-yun was really into it.”

Kim Gyeong-hun’s influence must have been at play for him to only tell Chaeheon, not asking Lee Jun while they were together. Was it because he thought Lee Jun wouldn’t say anything?

    “What if…”

Lee Jun, who had been walking ahead, turned around at Chaeheon’s voice.

“If I could help you, Senior…”

At the sudden remark, Lee Jun completely turned to face Chaeheon. What did he want to say by calling him that? He usually called him “Jun-i hyeong,” but now it was “Senior” again.

“So, if you could be sure that I’m on your side, would you trust me completely?”

Facing Chaeheon’s unwavering eyes, Lee Jun nervously swallowed. He didn’t know what Chaeheon was going to say, but his expression was incredibly serious.

Chaeheon had always been like that. He stared intently at Lee Jun and never averted his gaze.

There must have been many times he was flustered. Like when he first saw Hae Sol, or when he smelled other pheromones on Lee Jun. Even if he was curious or displeased, he looked him straight in the eyes.

‘What am I thinking about right now?’

He didn’t know why his thoughts were flowing this way. As if he wasn’t already thinking too much these days, what good would more thoughts do? Troubled by this, Lee Jun deliberately asked curtly,

“What do you want to say?”

“It’s about whether, when that time comes, we can continue dating, openly tell others, and all that.”

    “What?”

“Before, you said we shouldn’t tell anyone, so I didn’t, but then I regretted it.”

As Chaeheon brought up something from long ago, not now, Lee Jun’s brow furrowed slightly. Even then, Chaeheon had wanted to make their relationship public, but Lee Jun hadn’t. He thought he had explained the reasons back then. Yet, his not listening to Chaeheon’s words must have remained a source of regret for Chaeheon.

“If I had been a little more stubborn and we had revealed we were dating, we could have sat next to each other in class like now, occasionally eaten cafeteria food, and gone around without worrying about others’ gazes.”

But what Chaeheon was talking about was something else.

“Going to school is so much fun right now, but it’s a bit disappointing to think that I’ll be graduating soon… I originally intended to just do what I wanted, but I’m telling you beforehand because I don’t want to ruin the mood.”

Before he finished speaking, Lee Jun walked back towards the Study Room they had just left. He pulled Chaeheon’s arm, who was too flustered to follow. The large body, which would never be dragged if he resisted, easily yielded to Lee Jun’s small, almost demanding pull.

    “This is why you’re impossible.”

Giving everything away like that, over and over.

Looking at his appearance, he seemed like someone who would put up dozens of impenetrable walls, yet for Lee Jun, everything about him was soft as cotton.

Lee Jun cupped the back of Chaeheon’s head, kissed him, parted his lips, and inserted his tongue. He swept inside Chaeheon’s mouth, entwined their tongues, and sucked strongly.

He had kissed Chaeheon in many ways, but when he desired him, his kisses would inadvertently become rough.

He could have gently moistened Chaeheon’s lips, but even that turned into a hurried, ravenous consumption, like someone with an impatient temperament.

Knowing that Chaeheon had given him his cherished heart, Lee Jun found him even more desirable.

“Are you trying to arouse me here?”

Who knows when someone might come looking. Lee Jun, you’re brave.

Chaeheon’s words, laced with laughter, flowed into Lee Jun’s lips.

“If we get caught, I’ll say you attacked me.”

I’m on the inside, buried in your big body.

Lee Jun acted shamelessly, pulling Chaeheon’s lips into his again.

As he had told Chaeheon before, it no longer mattered if his Omega status was revealed. However, using Chaeheon as an excuse or involving him had changed from before.

Lee Jun no longer drew a line between himself and Chaeheon. Noticing that small change, Chaeheon whispered, their lips still pressed together.

“I think it might be better if we get caught after all.”

It was a voice desperate to declare Lee Jun entirely his own.

When Lee Jun laughed aloud, the vibration made it feel as if Chaeheon’s smile, too, made a sound.

    “Do as you please.”

Lee Jun turned his head sideways and parted his lips.

As Lee Jun closed his eyes as if inviting Chaeheon in, Chaeheon explicitly licked and sucked Lee Jun’s lips.

Even with just their lips joined, the force Chaeheon used was so strong that Lee Jun’s head gradually tilted back.

His upper body naturally threatened to collapse backward, but the wall prevented him from falling, allowing them to precariously continue their kiss.

To the extent his head was tilted back, saliva was deeply invading his mouth, and Chaeheon’s tongue swept in to claim it all at once.

He needed to tell him about Hae Sol. And he wanted to tell him that he still liked him.

He no longer wanted to hide anything from the one who would be on his side.

Han Jeong-min’s expression was complex as he looked at someone’s personal information displayed on the tablet PC. It seemed interesting, then he laughed as if amused, and at one point, he stared at it very seriously. After examining all the information he had someone procure, Han Jeong-min threw the tablet down as if discarding it. Then, with an empty hand, he stroked his forehead as if organizing his thoughts, and what remained in the end was a cruel smile.

“It was good that I looked into it. Otherwise, I would have been foolishly caught off guard, wouldn’t I? Executive Secretary Kim?”
