Chapter 54 Part 2
by BLReadsHan Jeong-min shook his head, acting as if it were absurd, but Lee Jun’s sharp words rattled him.
“I think I have more right than you, who told her not to have the baby.”
“That’s… Ha. You know.”
“Yes, I know. That you’re from a noble family. So don’t pay any more attention to Haein.”
“Knowing that it won’t be easy…”
Han Jeong-min now retorted with an annoyed smile.
“Then why did she have a baby and create this situation?”
“Words like that…”
Lee Jun asked in a low voice, suppressing his anger.
“Did you say that to Haein?”
“Of course… not.”
Han Jeong-min raised an eyebrow as if slightly surprised, then quickly smiled.
“That was what I was going to talk about when I met her. I came to see you first before meeting Haein.”
And then he suddenly spoke in a familiar tone, which was no different from deliberately provoking Lee Jun.
“It’s better not to.”
“It’s good that you’re trying to stop me, but what power do you have?”
Han Jeong-min scoffed at Lee Jun’s threat.
“Are you relying on Chaeheon? But do you know something?”
Han Jeong-min spoke softly, as if he were about to tell him something very important.
“If you had given birth to the child, not Haein, he might do even more.”
Lee Jun scrunched up his face as if hearing nonsense, so Han Jeong-min added.
“It’s NK Group. Do you think a family like that would accept you?”
At the mention of NK Group, Lee Jun hurriedly hid his clenched fist behind his back. He was startled by the unexpected name of the major corporation. His heart pounded uncontrollably fast, and his fingertips trembled. Where was he now, hearing this? NK Group? Lee Jun’s gaze swept over a nearby car. A car with the NK Group logo easily caught his eye.
“Surely not…”
Han Jeong-min, finding Lee Jun’s reaction strange, muttered as if he couldn’t believe it.
“You didn’t know, did you? Even if Chaeheon doesn’t talk about himself, he wouldn’t hide it from his lover… would he? Oh, he did?”
Han Jeong-min, having gotten his answer from Lee Jun’s expression, changed his last words. Soon, with eyes sparkling as if amused, he dropped his initial arrogant attitude and spoke with a persistent flirtatious charm.
“Lee Jun, this is purely well-intentioned advice… Break up with him. You can’t handle him anyway.”
As Lee Jun remained silent, Han Jeong-min changed his mind. His original plan was to provoke Lee Jun and then meet Haein, but now there was someone else he had to meet in between.
“I’ll give you time to think. And Haein too, of course. Let’s meet with smiles next time.”
Han Jeong-min waved his hand and turned away. It was a bit of a shame not to see Haein after coming all this way, but today wasn’t the only day.
Lee Jun remained rooted to the spot until the sound of Han Jeong-min walking down the alley grew faint and then disappeared.
“I really… know nothing.”
What intimidated Lee Jun more than Chaeheon being from a very famous group family was how little he knew about him.
He and Haein also had no father. They had lived their whole lives feeling betrayed by a father who had left their mother to take only them, and now it was NK Group. If a father from a family far below NK Group in status had acted that way, then there was even more reason to expect it from NK Group. He couldn’t imagine a scenario where he would be in a different situation from Haein and their mother.
