    Chapter Index

Lee Jun watched Chaeheon present from the podium. Behind him, the PowerPoint Presentation Material he had created was displayed, and everyone in the classroom focused their attention on Chaeheon.

So, it wasn’t strange for him to stare intently at Chaeheon. Lee Jun carefully scrutinized Chaeheon’s face. Even though it was a face he saw every day, from his neatly defined eyebrows and deep-set eyes to his straight nose bridge and gently curving jawline, he didn’t feel bored in the slightest. And that wasn’t all. Lee Jun liked Chaeheon’s face. He liked the changing expressions whenever Chaeheon revealed his emotions, and he liked Chaeheon’s intense gaze.

However, his feelings for Chaeheon weren’t important. Just because he liked someone didn’t mean he could endure everything. Especially if he thought Chaeheon might abandon him later, he wouldn’t have the confidence to be with him, considering all of that.

Because of that, the experience he had already gone through made Lee Jun cower. A vague thought crossed his mind that this fear might become the reason for him to break up with Chaeheon again.

    “Chaeheon is handsome, isn’t he?”

Lee Jun’s gaze turned to Kim Gyeong-hun, who was sitting next to him. Kim Gyeong-hun, gathered for the presentation, looked at Chaeheon with his eyes half-open.

“When I first saw him, I thought, ‘He’s not even a celebrity, but can someone really be that handsome?'”

At Kim Gyeong-hun’s voice, as he naturally continued the conversation, Lee Jun turned his head back to Chaeheon.

Even without Lee Jun’s reaction, Lee Jeong-yun, who was sitting next to Kim Gyeong-hun, naturally continued the conversation. “I felt the same way. He really caught my eye. You felt that way too, right? So I looked up Chaeheon online.”

Lee Jun, who had expected them to continue talking about Chaeheon’s appearance, turned his head back to Kim Gyeong-hun.

“I tried typing his name and searching for photos circulating on social media, but…”

    Kim Gyeong-hun shrugged his shoulders.

    “Nothing.”

    “None?”

Thanks to Lee Jeong-yun’s quick reply, Lee Jun didn’t need to react. Fortunately, Kim Gyeong-hun continued with the rest of the story they wanted to hear.

    “Yeah. Nothing.”

Kim Gyeong-hun replied with stark brevity.

    “He must dislike such things.”

    Lee Jeong-yun dismissed it nonchalantly.

    “But something strange happened.”

“Why don’t you just say it all at once instead of constantly cutting off your words?”

Frustrated, Lee Jeong-yun quickly lowered her voice, which had been about to rise, and poked Kim Gyeong-hun.

“No, well… You know that picture of us I took at the Pasta Restaurant? Chaeheon accidentally got into it. This picture.”

Kim Gyeong-hun outright took out his cellphone and showed them a photo. Although Lee Jun hadn’t responded even once until now, Kim Gyeong-hun showed it to him as if it were natural.

Lee Jun unconsciously lowered his gaze and saw Chaeheon’s face captured on the cellphone. Sitting at the end of the table, he was captured very small, and even then, he was looking elsewhere, so only his profile was visible.

It was a mistake to look at the photo out of curiosity. He shouldn’t have known why Chaeheon was looking elsewhere. He wouldn’t have had to know that Chaeheon was looking at him.

“I uploaded this, but it was taken down the next day.”

“You didn’t delete it, did you? Or maybe it was reported?”

    “It was reported, yes…”

“What? If anyone hears this, they’ll think it’s because of Senior Chaeheon.”

Lee Jeong-yun felt disappointed, saying she had focused for nothing. Then, as if to say that wasn’t it, Kim Gyeong-hun held up his cellphone and tapped the photo.

“Still, isn’t it strange? There are no photos of Chaeheon anywhere, and this one was also taken down by pure coincidence, wasn’t it?”

Lee Jeong-yun shook her head as if she didn’t understand their connection.

“Senior Chaeheon isn’t some great person, so why would something like that happen? Don’t you remember that time?”

    “That time?”

“At the Pasta Restaurant, I asked if he had any connection with NK Group…”

“Ah, right. He did. He said he just had the same name.”

As Kim Gyeong-hun acted as if he had just remembered, Lee Jeong-yun tapped his shoulder and pointed forward.

“The presentation is almost over, so let’s focus.”

Kim Gyeong-hun awkwardly said okay, then, as if a sudden thought had occurred to him, held out his cellphone towards Lee Jun.

“I’ll send you this photo. If not your number, please give me your KakaoTalk ID.”

He was asking for Lee Jun’s contact information again, which had been blocked last time because Chaeheon was there. Lee Jun looked down at the cellphone and typed in his contact information.

“I’ll add you as a friend right away. I wanted to mention it because you’re in this photo too, Senior.”

Since his own figure was also in the photo, even smaller than Chaeheon’s and only recognizable if one looked closely, Lee Jun gazed intently at the photo he received from Kim Gyeong-hun.

    Indeed… this cannot continue.

After class ended, Lee Jun walked towards the parking lot with Chaeheon.

“Class finished early today, so what are you going to do? If you’re going to work, bring your laptop and do it at my place.”

Chaeheon asked a question no different from usual, but Lee Jun pretended not to hear and remained silent.

“You don’t want to do it together? Or are you afraid I’ll keep you until dawn?”

Chaeheon asked, guessing what was bothering Lee Jun, but this time too, no answer came.

“What could it be this time?”

And realizing that Lee Jun was doing it on purpose, he narrowed his eyes and muttered to himself. Until now, their relationship had been good, but suddenly the atmosphere was bad. He tried to think if anything special had happened today that could have spoiled Lee Jun’s mood, but he found nothing.

Eventually, Chaeheon stopped walking and turned his body. He blocked Lee Jun’s path and crossed his arms.

“If you just keep silent like that, won’t it just be frustrating?”

As Lee Jun still remained silent, Chaeheon sighed and lowered his head.

Lee Jun remained still under Chaeheon’s gaze, which was examining his face. No matter how Chaeheon reacted, he had no intention of doing as he was told for now. It wouldn’t be strange even if Chaeheon got upset at his attitude.

    “Are you feeling unwell?”

Then, a hand touched his face, and Lee Jun frowned for the first time. Such a tender approach was the worst. He couldn’t simply ignore it, because his heart had already been swayed by Chaeheon.

    “Take your hand away.”

Lee Jun batted Chaeheon’s hand away, snapping sharply. With the thought that his voice and expression should be enough to upset the other person…

    “You’re not unwell then.”
