    Chapter Index

Chaeheon remained silent, even though he knew that the “method” Han Jeong-min was talking about was himself.

“If you don’t like me, please think of Haein. She’s the one who ran away to a motel with a young baby because she was afraid her family would be harmed because of me…”

Han Jeong-min let out a low groan, looking at his hands.

“I could hear Hae Sol crying through the wall, and I don’t know why it felt so good. It’s only been a few days, but I want to hold Hae Sol right now.”

Han Jeong-min, who had been looking at his hands, suddenly raised his head.

    “So, please help me.”

Chaeheon could do it. Han Jeong-min pleaded earnestly, hoping Chaeheon would grant his wish.

It was only a difference of a few steps, but Chaeheon’s gaze looked down at Han Jeong-min.

“Hearing that just makes it even clearer.”

At Chaeheon’s slight nod, Han Jeong-min looked at him with anticipation.

“That I don’t want to grant your wishes.”

Chaeheon, who seemed arrogant and superior, sharply cut off Han Jeong-min’s desperate plea.

    “Chaeheon, Senior.”

Kim Gyeong-hun saw Chaeheon entering the classroom and rushed over to him.

“Why haven’t you been to class all this time? You haven’t answered my calls either.”

Although it had only been a few days, Kim Gyeong-hun spoke ceaselessly, seemingly curious why he hadn’t been showing up.

“I was busy with family matters.”

    “What happened?”

Kim Gyeong-hun clung to him as if he wouldn’t leave until Chaeheon told him, so others also started to sneak closer.

“Do you need any notes for the classes you missed?”

    “I also have a summary.”

Chaeheon hadn’t been absent from school for many days, but their interest in him was surprisingly strong. Kim Gyeong-hun kindly explained why.

“We like you a lot, Senior.”

Even if they usually went their separate ways.

    “Right, thank you.”

Chaeheon casually brushed them off, then inadvertently turned his head, spotting a welcome person, and smiled.

Lee Jun had appeared. As usual, he scanned the classroom, seemingly looking for an empty seat, then settled on one spot and walked towards it.

As he drew closer, Kim Gyeong-hun gasped, “Uh-oh?”, and Lee Jeong-yun covered her mouth with one hand, trying not to break the mood.

Soon, Lee Jun, who was right next to him, gently tapped Chaeheon’s shoulder.

    “Move over.”

Chaeheon immediately moved to the next seat, and Lee Jun sat beside him, putting down his bag.

Up until now, it had always been Lee Jun sitting down first, and Chaeheon appearing later to sit next to him, but this time it was the opposite.

Only Kim Gyeong-hun and Lee Jeong-yun, who knew why, were not surprised. And the others, as if wondering if the rumors were true, began posting messages in their group chat, demanding to know the truth.

    “You’re late today?”

Chaeheon asked nonchalantly, as if he didn’t care about other people’s reactions, and Lee Jun took out his cell phone.

    “I overslept.”

    “Overslept?”

Chaeheon asked, surprised that someone who usually woke up well without an alarm would oversleep. Lee Jun took out his cell phone and showed Chaeheon something.

It was a photo of Hae Sol sleeping. Lee Jun showed the photo without hesitation, and Chaeheon naturally accepted Hae Sol’s presence, creating a subtle atmosphere between them.

“He sleeps with me. I sleep well when I’m holding him.”

“Ah, I see. Then it makes sense that you overslept.”

Chaeheon rested his arms on the desk and buried his face. He then turned his head to the side, looked up at Lee Jun, and said,

“Last time, when you hugged me to sleep, you were thinking of Hae Sol, weren’t you?”

The people secretly listening gasped in surprise, but Lee Jun’s face remained impassive, showing no hint of agitation.

“Honestly, our builds aren’t the same.”

And with that casually uttered remark, he surprised everyone twice.
