Chapter 27: Sparkling Wine He won’t allow Wen Shixi to drink anything offered by other alphas…

Lin Yining was completely oblivious, his tone tinged with a hint of ambiguity.

“Then… shall we sneak away together?”

Lin Yining had heard rumors about Wen Shixi, but had never met him before.

He never imagined that upon meeting him today, the Jiang Corporation’s young master would be so interesting. The way Wen Shixi had just reprimanded others for their lack of manners was both aloof and indifferent, simply captivating.

But Wen Shixi only narrowed his eyes slightly, remaining silent for a moment.

The champagne glass in his hand radiated a faint coolness, the echoes of the bubbles barely audible.

For Wen Shixi, he had recognized the scent of his own kind from the alpha in front of him from the very beginning.

Wen Shixi hated responsibility the most, which was why he preferred his own kind.

But the name “Lin Yining” was too familiar; he had many other impressions of it.

Wen Shixi asked knowingly, “Sneak away… to where? It’s so dark out. Mr. Lin should be careful not to fall into the sea.”

Lin Yining smiled at these words, his tone containing warmth: “You really are an interesting person.”

As he spoke, he leaned forward, closer to Wen Shixi’s body, inviting him ambiguously: “Since we get along so well, and it’s so boring here, I brought some better wine on board. It’s in my room. Would you like to come try it?”

As Lin Yining’s words fell, a black figure, who had come specifically, stopped nearby, catching Lin Yining’s words.

In that instant, in the angle where their gazes converged, the air froze.

Wen Shixi tilted his head, avoiding Lin Yining in front of him, and looked at Jiang Quanyu’s face.

The man was elegant and dignified, but the darkness in his eyes was momentarily sharp.

His usual nonchalant composure, which allowed no provocation, had been repeatedly prodded, suddenly revealing a dark crack.

Jiang Quanyu stood in place for two seconds, his face cold.

“You’re Lin Yining?” Jiang Quanyu asked.

His deep voice was filled with oppression. Upon hearing this, Lin Yining turned his head to look behind him.

His eyes flickered momentarily, but he quickly composed himself.

“Director Jiang? I am Lin Yining. Good evening.”

Jiang Quanyu’s eyes were filled with undisguised contempt. He said nothing more, as if even speaking was superfluous.

He only tilted his head slightly towards the exit of the banquet hall.

Upon seeing this, the assistant beside him closed the file in his hand and said to Lin Yining, “Good evening. May I ask you to leave first?”

Seemingly polite, but the order to leave, decisive and without a trace of room for refusal, drew many eyes.

Lin Yining was stunned, not knowing why Jiang Quanyu was doing this.

The atmosphere affected those around them. In a few breaths, Lin’s father, who was not far away, saw this and hurriedly walked closer.

Upon approaching, the old man looked at Lin Yining’s bewildered face, his eyes filled with anger and incomprehension. He glared at Lin Yining, then quickly turned to Jiang Quanyu, asking, “Director Jiang, is there some misunderstanding?”

Jiang Quanyu lowered his eyes slightly, looking at Lin’s father.

Jiang Quanyu had been discussing proposals with people all night, and now he really had a good idea.

Jiang Quanyu never needed a reason to give an order, and his tone was always self-righteous.

He looked at Lin’s father: “Mr. Lin, send your son back to Australia.”

    Both contemptuous and disdainful.

    Lin’s father was shocked: “…Wh-what?”

Jiang Quanyu began to walk towards Wen Shixi.

He stood next to Wen Shixi, shielding him behind him, almost obscuring half of his figure, and said quietly, “Am I not making myself clear enough?”

Lin’s father looked at his son, his face full of astonishment and incomprehension.

Jiang Quanyu’s words were very clear: he didn’t want to see Lin Yining in Linggang again; otherwise, not only would the new project be wishful thinking, but everything the Lin family originally had would cease to exist.

With Jiang Quanyu’s influence in all walks of life in Linggang, he didn’t even need to threaten them to make Lin’s father think of a hundred ways to go bankrupt on his own.

Lin’s father frowned, immediately becoming anxious.

At the same time, apart from the Lin family and his son, Wen Shixi was also a little surprised.

He looked up at the tall figure in front of him, his gaze sliding over Jiang Quanyu’s ear and profile, frowning in puzzlement.

A moment later, the assistant urged him again. Seeing that more and more people were watching the spectacle, Lin’s father gritted his teeth lightly, said a few words to save face, and led a bewildered Lin Yining towards the banquet entrance.

The crowd dispersed slightly, turning to watch Wen Shixi and Jiang Quanyu.

By the viewing window, Jiang Quanyu turned his head, meeting Wen Shixi’s puzzled gaze.

The waves were gentle, immersed in the vast moonlight.

Wen Shixi looked up and couldn’t help but ask, “What are you doing? Are you telling all the alphas not to talk to me?”

“That’s the plan,” Jiang Quanyu said.

Wen Shixi: “I don’t think my brother has the right to interfere with my friendships.”

Jiang Quanyu didn’t want to argue with Wen Shixi, and simply said, “Lin Yining is out of the question.”

    Wen Shixi: “Why?”

Jiang Quanyu hesitated upon hearing this.

Because Lin Yining was a bastard who liked to make omegas get abortions.

But he didn’t want to tell Wen Shixi such disgusting things.

Wen Shixi should only see beautiful things and listen to beautiful music.

Jiang Quanyu: “I said no, no reason needed.”

Wen Shixi was almost out of patience: “Didn’t you say you wanted me to find a suitable alpha to marry as soon as possible?”

“Not you finding one,” Jiang Quanyu raised his hand, crossing his arms: “I’ll find one for you.”

Wen Shixi: “I think that person just now was quite good.”

Jiang Quanyu: “Don’t you understand? Wen Shixi’s nod doesn’t count; only my nod counts.”

“…” Wen Shixi’s fingertips, holding the champagne glass, exerted a slight force. Under the pressure of blood, his fingertips were a pale, lifeless white.

He fell silent, wordlessly bringing the champagne glass to his lips.

But at this moment, Jiang Quanyu raised his hand and grabbed the rim of the glass.

The glass tilted, the liquid sloshing gently, stopping not far from his lips.

Then, Jiang Quanyu used force, snatching the champagne glass from Wen Shixi’s hand.

It was as if he would never allow Wen Shixi to drink wine offered by other alphas.
