Ye He Chapter 12
by12,
Ye He cleaned up the dishes and left.
Shen Yi stood still for a while. The floor was a little cold. Usually, at this time, he would obediently lie back down on the bed, waiting for the impending torment. But for some reason, his feet involuntarily moved toward the door.
Ye He was washing dishes in the kitchen with his back to him, the sound of running water loud and rushing.
Shen Yi gently took a step out. Almost the next second, Ye He turned his head and looked at him impassively.
He was more sensitive than a sensor…
Shen Yi quickly pulled his foot back.
Ye He looked at him twice more, then continued washing the dishes.
Shen Yi leaned against the door, yawning boredly. The soft indoor light hit the floor, making the dividing line directly in front of him particularly clear.
It really looked like a cage.
His hanging hand pressed against the cold wallpaper, his thumb unconsciously rubbing his fingertips. Shen Yi stared blankly at Ye He’s back. He felt like a marionette, every word and action requiring his master’s permission. As long as Ye He forbade it, he couldn’t do anything.
Ye He, who was focused on washing dishes, suddenly turned off the water, pulled off his apron with one hand, and strode over.
Shen Yi fearfully took a step back, but he couldn’t stop those hands from resting on his shoulders, pressing him forcefully against the door. The sudden pain of his head hitting the wall made him instinctively raise his hands to block, but the next moment, he was pressed back with even greater force.
Fingers threaded through his slightly long hair, gripping the roots and forcing Shen Yi to tilt his head back into a position ready for a kiss. Ye He stared at him unblinkingly. However, after their brief, intertwined breaths, what followed was a gentle, fragmented kiss.
It was lingering, soft, and long, creating an illusion that was almost like drowning and suffocating.

In the room, Shen Yi was listlessly studying the latest game model. While the scene was loading, he inadvertently glanced over and found that Ye He had fallen asleep with his head tilted.
Long, dense eyelashes cast a beautiful silhouette on his face. The pale, tired expression, set against the man’s handsome features, unexpectedly added a fragile beauty.
Could he kill him now by throwing a mouse at him? Shen Yi thought distractedly.
A little while later, Ye He woke up. He went out, carried a box in, and dumped the contents onto the table.
“Ding ding dang dang crash—”
In the blink of an eye, a “small mountain pile” appeared on the table. Shen Yi saw that these messy items were all small, fragmented parts.
What the hell is he doing? Shen Yi muttered inwardly, but his gaze couldn’t help but dart toward the man.
Ye He sat in front of the pile of parts, rapidly sorting them into several categories. Shen Yi watched for a long time but couldn’t find any pattern. He felt like Ye He wasn’t even looking at the parts in his hand, just casually spreading them out.
A quarter of an hour later, the small mountain pile was broken down into several stacks of varying numbers.
Shen Yi was completely confused and couldn’t help but look at Ye He, only to find that his expression had suddenly changed. It was unprecedentedly serious, focused, and extremely solemn. He picked up a few parts and began assembling them, his movements accelerating as he went.
Shen Yi could hardly believe the sight before him. The intricate parts danced merrily at Ye He’s fingertips. Tiny gears slotted precisely into the teeth grooves, the proportions nearly perfect. The mechanical parts, gleaming with the unique luster of metal, were pieced together by his flexible, slender fingers—squeezing, twisting, tapping. With every tremor of his fingers, several parts were joined together. The layers of procedures were exceptionally smooth, almost flawless.
The man’s assembly movements didn’t pause for a moment. He didn’t even look at the pile of parts, yet he could always select the exact component needed for the next step. His focused gaze and serious expression seemed to cast a faint glow over his handsome features, making it difficult to look away.
Shen Yi subconsciously held his breath, not daring to blink, staring intently at the scene that surpassed his imagination.
The piles of categorized parts formed a metallic torrent, gradually converging in Ye He’s hands. Ten minutes later, a small engine component, about twenty centimeters long, was completed. When connected to the power supply, the gears spun rapidly, emitting a buzzing sound.
After successfully testing it, Ye He casually tossed the engine aside and continued assembling the remaining parts.
Shen Yi’s emotions shifted from initial surprise, shock, and disbelief, to numbness. He had some understanding of mechanical assembly, but his knowledge was not on the same level as Ye He’s. What he knew was that a complex machine often required several engineers to carefully consult blueprints, spending half a day or even a full day to complete the assembly, and even then, the finished product might contain a small portion of unusable defective parts. For someone like Ye He to successfully assemble one in just ten minutes was simply impossible.
Shen Yi believed that if Ye He’s assembly process were filmed and posted online, it would cause a huge sensation, because this man was a true genius!
Shen Yi watched Ye He’s movements with fascination, not missing a single detail. There seemed to be an unusual magic in the man’s rhythmic fingers, making him completely discard his aversion to the person and fill his heart with genuine admiration and praise.
When the last piece of machinery was completed, Ye He did not toss it aside. Instead, he handed it to Shen Yi.
The hand that offered it was covered in many small cuts, accidental nicks from assembling the parts just now. After all, no matter how skilled Ye He’s movements were, to maintain high-precision assembly, the entire splicing process had to be done barehanded. Prolonged, high-frequency contact with sharp parts made injury inevitable.
Shen Yi didn’t notice these alarming cuts; all his attention was drawn to the object Ye He held in his palm.
It was a very beautiful model ship. The hull lines were smooth and elegant, the cabin spacious. The hull, constructed of special metal, displayed a very comfortable texture, and now, under the light, it shimmered with a captivating luster.
Shen Yi had witnessed the entire assembly process, so he was very clear about how complex and intricate the internal structure of this ship was. Ye He had even spent almost twice the time assembling it.
Shen Yi looked at the finely crafted mechanical ship model before him, but shook his head and didn’t take it.
Ye He was silent for a moment, then picked up the model, placed it next to the computer, and said abruptly, “You don’t like it anymore?”
